Pulling a dropshot on a 192km serve in a tiebreaker at 5-5. He's such a mad lad.
Clearly unintentional
@@AA-xe1ggAnd that’s the best part 😂 it pissed Zverev off extra
Fue el punto de quiebre del partido...la cara de zverev lo dice todo
Never seen anything like that.
Medvedev outlasted Zverev physically and mentally in this match.
I thought Zverev would win 3-0 at the end of the second set. Medvedev's mentality is insane. Congratulations Medvedev!🎉
we can expect anything from Medvedev anything mental : Daniel can take it to be honest i have this probability that he will come back from 2 sets down mentally : he can do it
It was Karma😊
What the hell is your problem @@user-zp7wx5yz3d
@@user-zp7wx5yz3dkarma for what? Can you explain?
I also thought he would loose and left the live at last moment of third set cause zerev seemed so active so strong but man he has trick and style like Djokovic!! He is great player
What a come back after two sets down 🤯🤯 Well played 👏👏👏 Danil Medvedev 😎😎😎
Wow. What a comeback. I’m speechless. Congrats Meddy!! 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
No you’re always right
I always thought Medenev would win but how he won was absolutely insane and incredible. Wow 😮😂
Why are you so surprised? Zverev is famous for choking in big matches after having the lead
@@waholoopesorry74but he didn't choke against Carlos after losing third set 😂
How Russians play tennis?😂😂 But they were banned in other sports😂😂
Meddy's mental game is so impressive. Wins can teach a player a lot, but what separates GREAT players from good players is the way the greats learn from their losses. Anyone remember Meddy's 2022 loss **at the Aussie Open** to Rafa? That Final was a literal inverse of this match--Meddy was up 2 sets with break points in the 3rd. And lost the match. It was devastating, & he couldn't seem to recover from it. His 2022 season was sub-par: he went from #1 ranking going into that 2022 AO to falling out of the top 10 by the time he hit his next AO the following year (Jan 2023). Meddy literally had to rebuild his whole game & confidence after that--& he did it. He became less reactive on court (to hecklers booing, bad calls etc), & instead focussed on his game, game plan & shot decisions. He didn't give up on matches before they were over. He seemed to almost eliminate unforced errors, lol, & garnered the nickname 'The Wall'. He mastered winning from the baseline, which included learning how to handle Carlos' drop shot game. He also spoke about how his growing family helped him gain the proper perspective on his tennis goals. Meddy spent 2023 putting it all together, & by the end of the season he'd won 66 matches--more than any other player on tour. He's now producing the best tennis of his career--after a loss in 2022 that burned his confidence & game to the ground. I'm a Carlos fan--he's my favourite player, tho Meddy's a close second--but Carlos doesn't have this mental game yet. He's demonstrated this via his response to some of his key losses. This kind of hardened mental toughness & self-discipline may come for Carlos, but he's going to have to make an important decision in the next year: What's more important to you, Carlos, the applause of an amazed crowd or the win. Congrats, Meddy. Long may you run.💖
This is the best example of grit and determination! What a comeback from Maddy. Disciplined tennis when needed at the end and the hunger to win. Hope he revitalizes well for the finals. What a legend!!!
Medvedev made an amazing comeback. Respect to both Medvedev and Zverev for the great match. I have a feeling that Tennis is moving towards a new era. I am feeling a little strange that we have a final at AO without Federer, Nadal or Djokovic.
Who cares, bring on the nrl season where the north sydney bankstown roosters will win the whole thing
@@davidanthony6222 Exactly!!!! Go Roosters!
I’m glad Djokovic lost, he is toxic
@@Dude-etiquettehow..
Zverev was the better player but he lost in key moments due to his weak mentality. Zverev has regularly beaten top3 players in the world but loses in key moments and to lesser players due to weak mentality...
Rod Laver Arena has just witnessed a wonderful day of Tennis. What an effort from all 4 semifinalists. Simply outstanding!!
What a come back by Madvedev.... Historic semi-final at AO 2024 ❤
he is indeed a madman. He's got that Putin mentality.
Alexander Zverev 's father mother are also russians😂😂 Russian vs Russian
@@shuttlespace04 Zverev"s parents were Soviet /Russian tennis players in the 80s . Decided to settle down in Germany during Perestroika times.
Medvedev almost lost the game halfway through the 3rd set too.
Unbelievable match. Zerev had his foot on the gas at 4-4 in the third set and hit a great cross court forehand that could have been a winner. Daniil made an insane get and even better shot. Fantastic tennis by both players. Going to be an amazing final.
AO has been an incredible major this year. These matches (singles, doubles, whatever) have been full of unreal play and unexpected outcomes. I think I'm rooting for Medvedev to finally get it done. He's been so close to this title before, it would be good to see him finally hoist the trophy.
This was an absolutely insane match. No highlights can do it justice. What a comeback by Med.
Rooting for Meddy as AO22 already broke his heart, may this 24 heal him and because he very much deserves to win it! such a living example of hard work, smart work and mental toughness 🥰
Yes, he took two years of poor tennis to get back to this level
Daniil Marvelous! What a man! What a match!
Zverev is at another level right now after injury. His moment is coming soon this year
Yes, his moment in court also.
@@hermijon1beat me to this comment!
Medvedev is the only player from his era who has got the same mentality of the 3 goats 🐐 and 6 grandslam finals
And Carlos and sinner
I agree, but he needs to seal the deal this time to even justify such a comparison or he's just another Andy Roddick. Great player, good career, but more often the bridesmaid.
@@varunshahvo-tv9854Carlos isn't there yet. Sinner needs more sample before we can determine his mentality is the real deal not just for one season
Those two are other generations. @@varunshahvo-tv9854
@@-WhoAMI.. Great point ! I do agree about the comparison with Andy Murray . However , i feel it isn’t due to Murray choking , but more so because the big 3 usually were the better players . He could comfortably handle the rest of the roster but fall short when he met one of them in the end .
Daniil can credit all of his accolades to his attitude and movement. He moves extremely well for a man his size. Very underrated. That being said, I expect Sascha to win a slam in the next 12-18 months.
One of the greatest come back ever ❤
holy crap he did it. I went to sleep at the end of the 2nd set. Congrats Dannil, unbelievable win. 👏
3 min highlight vid of 4.5 hrs of pure majestic tennis should be a crime
Lights-out tennis. I feel bad for Sascha but Meddy is a beast on hard-courts. Hope the final will be at least 4 sets. Sinner and Meddy are so different in personalities. May the best man win.
El ruso va a salir Campeón este año.
In the long run of play it's almost impossible to beat Medvedev..Hats off to him🙏🙏🙏❤️
Very proud of you. Watching from South Africa. Now 6omwin finals please. Can't wait!!!
Heartbreaking for Zverev. I thought it might be a dream run. Despite the loss, he's had an incredible summer. I'll never forget him playing back-to-back singles and mixed doubles 2 nights in a row to win the United Cup. He's had an excellent AO. Beat Alcaraz, had 3 5-setters and 3 matches over 4 hours. Not the result he wanted tonight, but he's been so impressive. Hope he has a great year.
Not a great year. He's fronting court.
Well said, I agree with everything you said. ⬆⬆
- Incredible comeback win for Medvedev. He never gave up. Lots of long matches but he is deservedly in the final. - This must hurt Zverev. Close yet so far!
his poor girlfriend might get a beating after this
medvedev's endurance is another level.
100%
Medvedev stamina, strength, endurance, and reach are just on another level. When you think that opponents shot is impossible to return, he performs the impossible.
Correct, Zverev was gassed in the fifth set, he made so many tired errors. Lets see if Medvedev can do it again against Sinner, that would be amazing. May the best man win.
Never say never. Unbelievable. This game deserved way better highlights.
Hats off for both players for a thrilling match. Amazing tennis 😍❤️
They dont call him the wall for nothing ❤ hope he finally won this AO that epic 5 sets against nadal was a heart break for him
he will lose against sinner
It taught Medvedev to play till the last point A big loss after dominating 2/3's of the game Medvedev didnt play till the lasy point thats why Nadal won and Medvedev lost
Meddy, a mental beast!
That was amazing tennis! Unbelievable shots - shake your head stuff! Great result - yay Daniil! Such a nice bloke!
Sinner v Medvedev will be a tremendous final
Oh yeah that’s gonna be 🔥 I hope for the fans it’ll be 4 or 5 sets but I’m going for Sinner, he’s just been amazing.

From two sets down to win the match. Total clutch mentality 💪
As a medvedev fan I thought he would lose in 3 sets haha he’s so incredible

MEDDY!!! YOU ARE MY HERO❤
thats the most energetic and happy look ive seen on medvedev coach's face. so amazing
The drop shot at 1:50 absolutely insane !!
Best ever in slams
I think it was not meant to be a drop shot return but nevertheless perfect point at that stage of the match
People ask me why he's your favourite and I always tell them to watch his matches, Now the recommendation will be of this match.😌💛 I mean even after he was down 2 sets I knew that he'd make a comeback. Couldn't be happier and proud to be his fan 😌😌😌😌😌🎊🎊🎊.
Don't count out Meddy in the final. Joker admitted that he thought his match agaisnt Sinner was the worst major performance he's had. And Meddy has much more experience in the finals. It's gonna be tough though because Sinner is looking nearly unstoppable
MEDVEDEV bounced back three times in this A.O. 2024 matches, from the brink of certain defeat. He has proved that when it comes to 5 set matches, he is a genius. His stubborn fightbacks are absolutely amazing, awesome, appreciable and astounding. Whatever may be the outcome, he deserves A.O. 24 men's singles title. ❤❤❤
This is too exciting! Congrats Meddy & Best of Luck in the Finals!
Must be one of the classics for 2023. These two know each other so well that they absolutely gave it their all.
Will never be a 2023 classic sorry It's impossible to be but a 2024 historic turning point The new era begins with the new top 4 Medvedev Sinner Zervev Alcaraz Novak
This might be the only time I was simply happy to see amazing tennis and didn't care who won. Great play from both sides.
These two never disappoint when playing each other. Great game!
The year of crazy upsets and the magic of Melbourne continues
That was Insane comeback from Medvedev 🔥
What a came back ... will be so much fun to see the finale this year..
Meddy is the real Joker in Tennis. He is the real agent of Chaos
Both of one are amazing tennis players, but Daniil deserves this trophy so much!
I wasn’t surprised Medenev would win but I was surprised by how… Zverev did really well in the beginning, that’s credit to him but even more credit for Medenev to fight back and claim the match 😅
After the first two sets I had stopped watching thinking zverev would take over to only see now this miracle...Finals will be crazy
Eu também, não esperava por esse retorno
Rooting for him in the Final.
Finally no-Big 3 GS final. Love it.
Hopefully the tennis audience will respect Medvedev for his talent. He uses his brain as well as his physical talent to win.
I certainly do!
Medvedev stamina, strength, endurance, and reach are just on another level. When you think that opponents shot is impossible to return, he performs the impossible.
Brilliant mentality from Meddy. What a match.
Medvedev played very well, I wish him the very best in the final.
They always put a picture of the winner of the match at the beginning of the highlight video. Sort of ruins the suspense!
Simply Medvedev 😊
Zverev’s sportsmanship is amazing he went to medmedevs court to congratulate him ❤🎉
There's nothing he could do more period 😂😂😂😂😂💔💔
Excellent match. This is how Nole was supposed to come back from Sinner, but somehow didn't. I think both Zverev and Medvedev are excellent players and whoever won this would be fine.
The level which Medvedev put on the court after being 2-0 down in sets was unbelievable. He had a big mentality and much fighting spirit to comeback from such a negative situation during the match, and not just that, if not for even winning. The popular AO phrase: "Victory belongs to the most tenacious" fit perfectly which what the Russian has done today.
People dislike him greatly but can rarely explain why. Way to go, Meds!
he's russian that's why
I can't decide if this is comeback of the year or choke of the year? A bit of bad luck on Zverev's end but that last set he capitulated completely, Medvedev stuck around and managed to hang on which is commendable, he looked completly out of the match at a few stages, personally I think Sinner eats him in the final, but not a bad way to earn another plate.
My heart breaks for you Zverev so close to the final. Dont give up keep trying! Love from Canada!💜
He has been accused of domestic assault twice and has no business even playing at the moment. Glad medy won
@@RhondaVarnes-oj8nh Last I heard the ATP Did an investigation and he was cleared. There was not enough evidence of the abuse, them something about a penalty oder by his baby Moma. There's always two sides to a story and we don't know all the information. Let's see before we accuse
@@RhondaVarnes-oj8nh There's a difference between accused and proven. Even Depp was accused by Amber Heard isn't it? They both are one of the best players on the tour and both of them deserved to win.
His game is that of a top3 player but loses in key moments due to weak mentality.
He has a trail set for May 31st for beating the mother of his daughter. This is the second woman that has accused him of domestic abuse. Might want to look into him a bit more he’s an awful person. Go Meddy 👍🏻
Unreal come back by Danill... unreal mentality.. ❤ Danill Medvedev to bits... bring on Sunday
Medvedev will present a bigger challenge to Sinner than Djokovic. Dani just doesn't give you the pace, Sinner will have to generate the pace. Also, he won't give you free points, like Djokovic today, with 55 or so UE. I'm bucking the Sinner trend and expecting a Medvedev victory in 4 sets.
Meddy doing crazy things Congrats 👏
Incredible 😊 Amazing comeback by Medvedev. That drop shot return of serve was like Federer shot ! 😊 he always manages to come bk . ❤
Great match between these two. Hoping for Sinner to win the title!
Why hope? The better player on Sunday should win. And will.
Me too, but cant count Medvedev out of this at all. All the pressure will be on Sinner now. And it is not impossible to win a GS even after 3 consecutive 5 setters in previous matches- referring back to Stefan Edberg, US Open 1992.
Medvedev all the way.
I have respect and love for Medenev too but I agree with you I believe Sinner will be our champion for 2024 🎉

That match was epic! To mentally & tactically navigate a win was unbelievable. Congrats. 💯 All the best for your recovery and for a first win at Melbourne Meddy. 🎾
Steel balls to hit a dropshot in the tiebreak, 5-5, while losing 2 sets love
It was unintentional. Meddy said so in the post-match interview. He was just going for a chip return.
@@tylerpedersen9836 in this case, gods of tennis love him. We would't make it if he did not have a great ability and ball control, though
1:50 dropshot off the serve is ridiculous. Congrats Meddy!
It was accidental tho, he was blocking all Zverev serves and since this one was slower it accidentally chipped way too much
What a comeback 👏
Medvede's comeback, and the win is beyond comment!
What a match...great
MATCH OF THE TOURNAMENT.
Cheers to Medvedev on win. Pulling for him in final. Everyone thought for sure it'd be Alcaraz n Joker in final.
It will be one of a hell battle to watch Sinner v Medvedev..Both are extremely smart and knows how to kill someone mentality on court 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

After Djoker and Carlitos, Medvedev was my third reason to watch AO, and I'm glad he survives. To the final, then!!!
I thought novak will win after losing two sets ,but danni medvedev did
If you watch his post match interviews he is a really smart guy and knows what he’s doing… he can get himself out of tough situations like here tonight.. I’m not surprised he won!!
Of course and this is his 3rd ao final
Closing out a match is an art form as many of us know…that’s a really tough loss for Zverev.
Wow Meddy🔥
Medvedev is crazy. Sinner v Meddy is gonna be 🔥🔥🔥
Both r excellent n fighting very well
All those losses to mentality monster djokovic has made medvedev a comeback king kinda!!
To be honest, Zverev had to win this in 3 or 4, he did not have enough in the tank for a 5 setter after his effort against Alco The 4th set was a real kicker, a routine volley missed, Medi wins next point with a mishit and then produces an ace ! Out of nowhere it was now 2-2 ! Crazy but gotta feel for Zverev , he played the better tennis.
Agreed, after the 4'th set Zverev was gassed, he could not maintain his level after that.
"But he doesn't have great technique!"..."But he stands so far back!" 😂
Who? Sascha or Maddy? 🤔
Whoah Meddy! Such a fun and interesting player to watch! I hope he wins AO.
Remarkable comeback by Dani cutie!!! 🥰
That was epic
Dr. Strange strikes again 👏🏻
Maddy is unreal. So proud of him🎉
I’m not sure I’ve ever seen a player just wilt away like Zverev did at the end. All credit to Meddy but wow, what a sad way to lose it.
He's done it often, exactly like to Chung in the 2018 AO, leading 2-1 after three sets and basically giving up in the final two sets and laying a goose egg in the final set 6-0.
Yeah, after 4 hours and losing both tiebreakers he was physically and mentally gassed. Still an AO semifinal is a good result especially after his injury comeback, he'll be back.
