01:57 I thought dude was slapping his belly in celebration. 🎉 😂
I had to look again, lol!
Wasn’t he ?😂
😂 I thought so too
@@mwtsui2 I think so 😂 can't say, it's the glass shield or his tummy
4 taps of the belly means to hit the backhand down the line
Glad to see Fritz improving mentally so much in the past few years. Hope he can be competitive against Djokovic.
Let's hope he shows up and does the business
Finally a comment that doesn't show biased hate towards Tsitsipas and acknowledged Fritz for putting a great performance rather than brainlessly trash talk the Greek only because he lost. To be fair, I don't get why everyone calling him overrated despite he put up a really great fight against the rising star today -_-
He cant buddy😂
novax will destroy fritzy witzy like he usually does
Rising star lol? He and Tsitsipas are basically the same player - mid at best. Djokovic will absolutely destroy Fritz - Fritz mental is terrible, let alone compared to Djokovic. And Djokovic style also dominates Fritz's style
Stefanos even tried to make hindrance on the last point, good thing Fritz got it.
He learning from Iga. He learnt his toilet break move from Djokovic.
@@Lan_gtgYeah like nadal Has never took a toilet break and medical in his career
I guess it was hindrance, though it was also kind of ridiculous and funny
@@Lan_gtgya Nadal who was injecting pain killer whole career n started his hair fall 😂😂😂
I can't believe I just saw a professional player do what Tsi did. That boy was desperate!
Good to see Taylor go through to the Quarterfinals. Unfortunately I don’t see him beating Novak but I am hoping for a competitive game
same
Fritz is the greatest player to ever touch a racquet, he will smoke your Novak joke-avic 🤡 🤡
I’m joking don’t hurt me
Feels like forever since Fritz has won a game. Good to see America is still in it
Djokovic is gonna end that dream pretty easily next matchup
@@AJ-iu6nwLol, totally! 👍🏻
He got lucky. Tsi was sub par and his one hander is too weak.
Right...@@jonfreeman9682
Fritz beat Tsitsipas last time they met as well in Monte Carlo. He also has a good record against Rublev and has beaten Rune. It’s funny how people downplay his status.
Bro tsitsipas' move at the end was kind of sketchy
It was a Swiatek kind of move. Tsitsipas’s behavior is super obnoxious sometimes.
Yea, he's one of the sketchiest guys on the tour . . .
And he dares to call Medvedev "small cat"
It was a pathetic. Unsportsmanlike move . IGa has done that and felt the wrath . He went to a new low .
Finally he won against top 10 player 🎉 congratulations 👏👏👏
Misliš top 10
It was a great match to watch. Fritz was confident that he would be beat Stefanos again and he did. I stated yesterday that Stefanos needed his 1st serve and needed to come to the net in order to get the win. Although he had 12 aces in the match, serving at 63% first serve% will not do it against players like Fritz. He is a great returner of serve and he won the majority of points when Tsitsipas gave him a 2nd serve. Stefanos once again did not attack the net as often as he should have and he paid the price. He underestimated the power of Fritz's groundstrokes on both sides. I am a huge Tsitsipas fan and support him always, but I have predicting for some time now that he is travelling on a slippery downward slope. We see players like Fritz, Zverev, Sinner and Rublev constantly improving and really coming out with specific game plans when they are playing specific opponents. Stefanos needs to start doing the same. He has become too stagnant and the reluctance to do something other than depend on his game has cost him dearly. He needs to strategize more, study his opponents better and really explore their weaknesses as they have done with him. My past prediction is that Tsitsipas will not make it past the 4th round of any major this year and fall out of the top 10. As a devoted fan, I really hope I am wrong, but so far the stats and odds are favoring me being right 😔
@Chris: I could not agree more. I have stated prior that I regard Tsitsipas as one of the players with the best arsenal of shots. Not sure about his psyche though. AT some stage there was a lot of talk about his team. Ever since people have just given up on this subject. It seems he too does not consider any changes and my prediction that he will fall below 10 in ranking look more like to happen. There are a number of very hungry players out there. Besides Sinner and Rublev, Fritz, Zverev, Alcaraz, Med, there are many newbies that give everything to get to a place further than he is. Frankly I dont see bim beat players like Shelton, Pul, Fils in GS or 1000 Format. With losses like this one everyone knows that Stef can be beaten by anybody. That makes it doubly hard for him. It seems to me that Stef has other things on his mind right now. As I said before - that is only human. On the ATP top 10 stage it is not enough though. A Top20 Tsitsipas appears to be much more likely in 2024 / 2025 .
Tsitsipas switched to flying mode to save a match - point
Swiatek mode
lol
bitch trying to hinder Fritz
Well all that flying ain't gonna save him. But he sucks big time. His one hander just can't win Grand Slams.
@@jonfreeman9682 Unfortunately, you are right
Wonderful playing by Fritz ! Great win . Good luck next match .
Man Taylor's movement has improved dramatically from his early years on tour. I'm hoping for at least a set against Djokovic; let's go!!
Isn’t that hindrance from Tsitsipas on match point?
It's not. He didn't make any noise.
I certainly would say so. When they're about to lose, they start playing dirty.
I think he was just joking around since he knew that with Fritz coming in with all that momentum, it was impossible for him to lose the point.
@@thomasfit3095It’s not just about making noise.😅😂
@Tennisisreallyfun there's no way you actually think that. You don't "joke around" as your opponent is about to hit a final shot on match point in a major tournament. That's ridiculous. Clear hindrance
This loss may be good for Stef to finally do something instead of being complacent with himself. Hopefully he can do well like Meddy last year
Meddy just needed some mental adjustments. Tsitsipas needs a completely new backhand. I don’t see it happening for Tsitsipas…faith of the one-handed backhand
@@maxiiiiii6106tsitsipas can thrive with his current tools. His serve and forehand are a lethal combo itself, especially the serve +1. Right now his back prevents him from serving at his usual level, and yeah his backhand is just always gonna be a liability no matter how much he adjusts it. But Tsitsipas' footwork to go around the backhand and hit an inside-in forehand or cross court is probably the best in the game, and he covers it so well that he makes his forehand vulnerable which is what we saw with Fritz's bhdtl. Still think hope he can be top 5 again
I dont see anything wrong with any of his shots. What's needed is mindset and team adjustments. I am repeating myself. It is quite sad that a player with this arsenal does not seem to know how to employ it wisely.
@@willwahl9225 nah he does no how to utilise his arsenal and weapons really well and wisely. I'd argue its just mindset and external factors, and maybe improve the backhand slice to try to get it to the same level as Federer because no matter how good his backhand gets, OHBH are a weakness inherently.
@@ronnie9077firehand is not enough because you can throw Tsitsipas off the court if he tries to hit forehand all the time. Backhand is must
Fritz must have one of the best racquet speeds on tour! Whipping that forehand stroke looks so good. I wonder if it means racquet is too light though, and if that creates problems
you can telll Fritz doesn't like to hug anyone at end of match - "shake my hand and move on - i'm not here to be your friend"
He deserves to win!!! go for it!!
Tá mas o Tsitsi como eu carinhosamente chamo é lindoooo
Tsitsipas does not have the talent to make it deep in Slam tournaments, but he and his father do not seem to realize it. Congratulations to Fritz!
Marvellous....Taylor Fritz, I like to see younger gen. such as Taylor Fritz (USA), Jannik Sinner (Italy) wish them stepping further & further here in AO
Taylor is a 'natural' like Sinner...extremely gifted players...if they can keep a clear mind...sky is the limit...level federer....above hard working fellas like Dojoko n Nadal....gracious by nature
1:57 Fritz coach slapping his own belly to applaud
haha it's the glass in front of him, did look like that tho tbh
That's his physio, not coach.
Good battle.
fritz determination and mental +100 at AO
Fritz played the match of his life and had Tstispas on ropes.
If Fritz is able to pull off a set from djoker I would call it an achievement, the level at which Djokovic is playing right now is miles ahead of the competition. The only player who can present a challenge to him could be sinner, other than that it should be a walk in the park for Djokovic.
Sinner can't do it mentally, he'll choke, as he always does so far. Alcaraz and Zverev will not choke and have a chance.
@@blucat4Keep zverev out of this 😂
@@SriramPatnaik-bv7ob Why? 🙂 Meddy has a chance as well, I forgot him.
@@blucat4 Meddy is still somewhere in the picture. But not Zverev lol.
@@SriramPatnaik-bv7ob Sorry to disappoint you, but Zverev just wiped out Alcaraz. Into the semis ..
Proper outcome
How to save a match point.? Swiatek , tsitsipas - wave hands at net😂😂😂
Except , it does not work . What a new low for Stephanos.
Congrats to Fritz! Huge win for him!
Tsitsips will never make it to the top of a slam
no, he's the biggest pooossy on earth
2:37 what is he doing lol😂
Oh wow 🙀
Nice!
Tsitsipas with a 2 hand backhand is #3
Damn he even tried the Swiatek at the end there. Worked out for her didn’t it smh
Congrats Taylor, big victory!
2:37 I do this every time when facing an unknown situation 😅✴️
This guy is a riot .. if only he did some of those dance moves he would’ve made Frits miss
Looks to me Tsitsipas had no more gas in the tank. Too defensive
Steph plays with the legendary one handed backhand. The mark of a true champion. He will likely be just like roger on grass.
I'm afraid tsitsipas may already be past his prime. Oh no
😂
You are right! I've been saying this now for two years.
Fritz just outplayed him today, Tsitsipas wasn't close to being a really bad player plus both of them play some really good tennis. You gotta respect Tsitsipas for making some good plays here and there despite not able to match Fritz insane performance.
Prime was 2019
@@yjgaming6102 did you know that there'd be a couple of nxtgen ball strikers in the next few years. The game has evolved to pure power and stamina. I don't see Tsitsipas backhand doing him any favours
Tsitsipas's backhand is non-existent
最近調子悪いって言われてたけど強くなってきてうれしい
Wow Tsitsipas is a sore loser lol. That match point display was ridiculous
For me , it’s another reason to dislike him
Idk why but i love to see Tsitsipuss lose. Lets go Taylor keep going you make America proud 🇺🇸
Perhaps because of things like what he did at the last point , and other things to try and win .
For those people who trash talks Tsitsipas for losing to Frtiz, just watch the whole game first before start commenting brainlessly on this chat only because you're a hater. Yall gotta respect the Greek for putting up a great fight with the American, who clearly played some insanely great tennis today with some outstanding performance as well. Only because he lost doesn't make him an overrated player. If you guys really hate him so much then might as well don't waste your time watching this match. Smh haters will never learn their lessons XD
exactly! i come to the comments to read comments from level headed, normal tennis fans but they are few and far between...
Congratulations on your win Taylor! And thank you also for taking out the first of the evil Triad. Two more to go - Zverev and Djokovic! 👍👏
You need help.
👀
the thumbnail looks like Tsitsipas

If I’m correct he has never beaten djokovic b4 so the next match would be his greatest ever if he could defeat the GOAT
The Australian accent is so thick that it sounds like he says Tyler Fritz.
Didn't TsiTsipas say Djokovic is the reason why he's never won a Gran slam or The AO?🤔. Just thinking aloud
well Djokovic was the only one that could stop him in Roland Garros when he reached the finals
Fritz has great mental strength and shows he’s truly top 10. He’s just not top 5 and will go down to Novak 3-1.
Any else notice Tsitsipas’ pitiful attempt of distraction at match point? What a brat
Weakness of Tsit are his one hand backhand not deadly like Wawrinka
It's not always about power federer had once said one handed bkhand allows more control of the ball while 2 handed is more about power. A lot of young players these days are single handed bkhand
I doubt he can beat Djokovic, but he is playing impressively. And his girlfriend is 🔥 😂.
This seems to be competitive, but the next match for him will be a one sided match. These ppl cannot still solve djoko puzzle...😊
Hope, he does better than Mannarino....
These are little kid against at N.Djokovic They need real stamina & strategy aganist him.
I'm excited to watch Fritz play against Djokovic. The question is... Can he beat him?
2:37 what was that lmao
what's the benefit ,win the game or defeated? he will face Novak Jugovic 🤷♂️
Well done Taylor! I think Stefanos is a great player, but I like seeing him humbled.
Stefanos will become just like Thiem...but its okey, keep going to do reality love story TV with Bado...go go go!!!
Reality love story TV, lmao. That is exactly what it is.
Hope he does a lot better than the french dude against novak
2:37
Stef's backhand is so weak now😢
I was starting to almost like Tsitsipas and then I see some shit we would do in high school practice matches. Hindrance much? He would have lost the point anyway but what a schmuck right. And it's not like they're old friends or anything either.
Exactly! That is the foolishness you might see on old timers day, with John McEnroe, or an exhibition for laughs. This is the AO and he is truly a schmuck !
@@nt4081 That single moves speaks volumes as to how he has really not progressed. Sad.
Tsitsipas no where near his level at this time last year but still impressive from Fritz to make another QF. Wonder how many sets he will get against Novak🤔
I think he hasn't recovered from his injury which is why his serve technique is different this tournament.
@@MrAtaguas Here we go again... already starting to make excuses for the cheater with the bionic wrist.
Happy for Fritz, but i am very sure the mental part of playing novak will just outdo him in the quarters

Only for djokervic to beat him😢
Sissypuss is gone. 😂😅
Since the rule change in WC break, havent seen much from Tsissipus... ah sorry its Pussypas... ah sorry its Tsissipas

Sorry Mr. Tsitsipas Plz advise Your Dad no Gland Slams for You...
Congratulations fritz .
He tries Novak's grapefruit and immediately getting some pseudo-placebo results 😄
How about not doing stupid obvious thumbnail, so we dont know who won until we watch the highlights...
Nick Kyrgios anywhere???? 😂
Fritz might, just might beat Djokovic. Nah!
He will crying in front of his father 😂😂
fritz the cat
USA tennis growing again at least Quater men and women got USA in drawing.
Happy for Morgan riddle’s boyfriend xx
Where is his father??
Cheatcheatpas out of the top 10 soon
Jesus Christ, Fritz always makes the handshakes so awkward
Look at that ridiculous hinderance at match point. Just can’t be fan of Stefanos.
Same , what a new low for him .
Tsitsipas with the always disgusting attitude on court . Trying to make hindrance in a match point !!! He must be fined
Oh, shocking, a spoiler thumbnail. Useless video. Thumbs down. Again.
Fritz will be one more and very easy prey for Djokovic, period!
Do not think easy .He will win some games off of Novak
Too much action after the win.. Novak incoming - calm down 😅
firtz will win against novak and loss against alcaraz ❤
Delusional
The Swltans of wishful thinking.
Tsitsipas juega mejor cuando no está badosa lástima....
Stefanoa cannot beat a top 15 player, it's getting old now
Wrong. He has 32 wins over top 10 players, let alone top 15 players. He also won year-end champs which meant he beat all players in top 8.
Djoker in 3
If the AO organizers choose not to display the Russian federation flag of the Russian players playing because of the invasion of Ukraine, then they definitely need to black out the USA flag because of its current occupation of Syria, Libya and the countless war crimes the USA has inflicted on the world.
Never going to happen. In these people's eyes like Hollywood, only usa and western Europe is good and the rest are bad guys. It's pathetic to see.
Cry
?? Unjust war is an unjust war.
Agree 100%
Tsitsipas's lack of variety in his game made Fritz look like he's a better player than he actually is.
Stefanos was cheating as shown in the last point....
Tsitsipas is not owning up to being a tennis champion. He should probably realize he isn’t going to win a Major.
