We are very excited about the opportunity to try out the DJI Avata 2 ahead of launch and share with you our real thoughts here on launch day! It's a pretty sweet product, and we can't wait to see what you think! If you're considering purchasing an Avata 2, please consider using the link below:

The majority of this video was filmed at 23.98, which, when placed with the 60 fps footage from the Avata 2, causes a feeling of stuttering once and a while. The stutter is only true to this video, but not for the raw footage from the drone.

  • Great video! Thanks for making it. I'm looking for a long range fpv platform that creates a great flying immersion and makes you feel like you're flying. What's the fov in the goggles like? Would you say the avata 2 is the best rtf quad that can immerse you into a sense of flying? Or does it feel like you're watching a TV from a distance displaying the fpv feed of a quad you are controlling? The joy stick controller with the head tracking on seems like it may be what those seeking immersion want as it seems to make the view look more like you're flying a plane than a quad, where you look in the direction of flight where with drones and fixed cameras this is not always the case. I hope that made sense and appreciate any feedback and help. Thank you 🙏

  • I wanna see someone test 3 things about it to know how good it flies 1) juicy flick as smooth as possible 2) yaw spin with snappy rolls 3) how smooth and flowy it can go into and recover from an inverted yaw spin (Old avata seemed to suffer when doing tricks involving precise and simultaneous yaw and roll while trying to stay upside down by only giving short kicks of throttle only when rightside up, so i wanna see how well they improved onto that) I am kinda new to fpv, I can fly but I don't have many quads just tinyhawk freestyle and some toy quads and I used to fly micro helicopters and stuff in the past before quads were cool. I am tryna decide if i should go straight to a 5 inch or will that give me some room to freestyle and have fun while having robust dji features. Quite expensive too and I already got a elrs radio for future quads so it's gotta fly at least %80 as good as tinyhawk 2 freestyle for me to consider it

  • I think for the camera comparison you should've graded the Avata 2 footage. Also the GoPro has 10 bit and log as well. But it does seem that it's a great step forward. Love the stupidity at the battery test!! I have real trouble stabilizing my O3 with Gyroflow - still very shaky. I guess I'll have to reinstall it...

  • i have the mini 4 pro and I have yet to see a review using the goggles 3 with the mini 4 pro. Will the RC2 remote work with the goggles and mini 4 pro altogether?

  • Could you show you stick inputs when flying, just getting my avata today, waiting for the controller to come into stock and am going to do lots of sim work before I try the fpv controller on the real thing, would you say the DJI sim is ok or should I use another? Ta

  • So when the quad breaks can we fix it or will DJI not be "selling" parts ? Backwards compatibility to earlier cameras like the Vista and even the first gen DJI should be easy for them to do but knowing their track record they probably won't do it.

  • Thanks Nurk. Are these still blurry on the edges like the Goggles 2? Goggles 1 were super crisp, 2 a huge letdown with focus on the edges. Are these any better?

  • Yeah those battery stats are way off the advertised ones. Still would be good to see a long range test with rth. What are the specs on the goggles screens can we expect 1080p live steam max again when we get our O4 air units?

  • Hi, at 20:46, was the Gopro 12 in "flat"? It looks saturated and different than the flat on my Gopro 11 for example. Thanks!
