yes i appreciated that too, completely agree re the fully swivelling mask instead of the cameras and there needs to be a eye lens cover 100%, they will sell like hotcakes on temu haha. I think the resolution of the goggles is way better though.

I am so impressed when it comes to steep diving with the Avata 2 over the Avata 1 it flies down so much more smoothly and a lot better. The Avata 1 will struggle shack and generally freak out when you do the same. They actually made it better in Normal and Sports Mode to use the motion lotion controller over the Controller 2 & 3.

Honestly, I'm a fan of the easy acro mode. It's not just a gimmick for sales. For us FPV beginners, pulling off cool aerial tricks isn't a walk in the park, and this mode helps without making things too complicated. And can't deny it, this will indeed spice up my flying experience.
I totally believe is a cool experience! And it's true that doing it in manual takes skill, and it's better to have a easy mode rather than not of course! I say useless regarding to video recording purposes, as you will have to learn real manual to integrate acro smoothly into videos And still I believe that they could integrate it into the classic radio and teach people gradually how to do acro, so one can have more confidence and learn something useful, ability that translates to any other drone
its more or less a gimmick as its the drone pulling off the move not you, and its not really graceful enough to use for video purposes either. Its too quick but definitely fun to experience for someone who can't yet do flips in manual
@@Rimzler I somewhat agree the 2 easy acro modes are just gimmicks, but I don't agree with the RC motion 3 being useless. I have only shot 1 video with mine so far, but found it very useful, very smooth, and the learning curve was minutes. I actually loved flying with it. I suggest waiting a couple months, DJI usually refines the products and eventually makes it compatible with old stuff

Thank you! Imho yes, sensor is bigger, more dynamic range and better low light, the log profile of the action 4 is better than GoPro and matches better with other cams especially from DJI! Maybe GoPro can go 5k and have more resolution, but 4k is plenty for me

great review.. I have been watching some reviews now, and after they all talked about that easy acro mode as if it was super useful, or even a godsend, i was like pff... how is that not a gimmick!? I was glad to finally see someone burning it to the ground. Anyway, i do still think that the head tracking in combination with the motion controller (and gyroflow) might allow us to make shots that weren't easy to do before. I'm curious how that plays out with some training.
Head tracking with motion controller makes you feel like you are in a cockpit of an aircraft. Very intuitive if you ever used vr or head tracking in a simulator or piloted an actual plane. Easy acro is a gimmick.

Shockingly windy! I actually think it handled that wind really well that wind is serious. I just got my RC today, I agree that once you know how to fly with a real RC there’s no going back, it just feels limited. I also agree that the integra or googles 2 feel better than these new goggles but if range is better I’ll get used to them haha! Of the three goggles I love the integra and wish it were compatible. Hope it will be with future updates

Avata2 or Cinebot25 or DarkStar20 I have been flying in liftoff for more than 50 hours with radiomaster boxer, and mobula 6 in acro mode for 2 months plus. The reason I am getting cinewhoop is because I will be flying indoor and for safety purpose since it comes with prop guards, and not ready for extreme stunts moves at the moment. 1. Do u think I should get the avata2 or cinebot25 S or DarkStar20? Or any better choice for beginner? 2. Is the Integra Goggles still a good choice for now? Since Goggles 3 dont support O3 air unit and Integra's price has reduced. Thanks in advance!
Well I suggest waiting, as all the drones that have o3 now, will get o4 in the near future probably, so having a small o4 one will be incredible! AVATA 2 is very versatile, I suggest waiting for it as the old gear may become compatible with it!
One the auto function on the Motion Controller the only ones I think are really good to have is the side to side and the 180 because they are great for helping you with good shots where the Motion Controller would normally fail in. The rolls are all gimmicks and for show. They don’t have any real purpose where the 180 and side shots do. You can use head tracking and focus on an object and use the slide function that will actually give you a nice orbit around your subject. Pretty cool stuff. 😊
Motion Controller may makes some move easier yes that's true, but only individually, if you are flying and want to have a good flow you still need the regular radio imho
Good honest review. I can't argue with anything you said other than I don't have a big of a problem with the new goggles. If DJI make the old goggles compatible with the avata 2 I will try them both and see which works best in work situations. I didn't get the FPV remote 3 yet - hoping DJI will make the remote 2 compatible eventually, or make the remote 3 compatible with O3 so I can just have one remote.
I heard somewhere that they will, also holding out on remote 3 since i have the 2 and keeping fingers crossed.
Yes I really hope they give us choices, because in the end fit is personal as everyone has different head shapes, but giving options is the best way to deal with it

Awesome video! I have a Mavic 2 Pro and when I fly in some areas I have to give my phone number proving I had verification to fly. Does the Avata 2 have the same requirements?

Hi Andrea, Avata 2 has C1 class and 19 m/s velocity limitation. 19:31 Did you use FCC mod to achieve high speed or it was just a wind? You mentioned less power - looks like DJI limited speed by the power output and outside EU should be much better.
I tried with and without FCC hack, same speeds in my case, don't know if even with the FCC hack max power output is limited, but it shouldn't

Thanks for the honest review! Can you please share in which country have you filmed the video and if you have applied the FCC unlock? Your top speed in manual would suggest that its either not shot in EU or that the speed limit is not enforced or you have the hack.
I tested flying without hack first and did not feel the difference in speed too much, also the signal is pretty good in ce, but yes i applied the hack before the video, check the description!
@@Rimzleri guess your drone has an early development firmware. I guess if you update the firmware. You’ll be in CE mode with half the power and 1/4th transmission power. 🤷♂️
Do you habe some opinion on the speed/speedcap in Europe? Is it really limiting or is it fine for its purpose (cinewhoop)?

At the moment i comeback to my country (Venezuela, Latinamerica) should my dron put in FCC Mode automatically? Or should i do it "manually"? About the goggles 3, you got a point here, but for me the smaller screen is better, because with the goggles 2 i get really dissy, i bought 4 pad and it didn’t help at all! The goggles 3 fits nicely, but i don’t know in time what happens to the rubber pad! And the quality if the camera is just amazing, i think it will be a game changer… thanks again man and happy chasing your chickens 😂
I literally just received and set up my RC3. I followed the directions that said to tighten the screw behind the left stick to release the tension for the throttle. I tightened the screw to the point where it won't go anymore and there is still a tiny bit of spring left where the stick does not stay all the way down. I'm just curious is that normal or should I be doing something different.. awesome video thank you again
Yes it's normal for every radio, you have to tighten the other screw until it grips enough so it stays down
@@Rimzler so I was able to unlock manual mode, but the drone flies like it's in angle mode. The drone wants to self-level. How do I get it in full acro? Thank you for the help
Nice review! I think I got my buddies to go 60mph.. I flew last week aside from how nice it flys it does desyncs like crazy when you try matty flips or any advanced freestyle tricks with it . I know thats not what its made for but to have it desync and almost fall out of the air was the ultimate test as i was trying to get it flip out if I went full send. but 90% of the rest of the flight i had alot of fun and think ill get one just to addd to the "Tool Kit" lol
are you in CE mode? I am still waiting for my a2 to arrive and kind of worried about the penetration of the video transmission as I live in CE region and from the forums I read that the FCC ham file is not working for A2 on the latest firmware version when you are on a CE region.
I tested in ce mode first and was wondering if it was FCC, because damn it performs very good, but then putting it in FCC through drone tweaks FCC DJI fly, the signal is a lot better!

@@Rimzleryea the bigger cam I’ve been very curious about in a traditional fpv build. The 03 is already pushing the limits on most builds.
Does it get tossed around by the wind a lot easier than the avata 1 because it's lighter weight? Also, if you implement the joystick with the motion control you can perform some really good shots. Most just use the trigger and motion sensor in the controller but forget to utilize the joy stick for the best experience and performance
yes I also find other reviewers and on the forums not utilizing the joystick just toe motion controller, I'll play around with it once mine got delivered next week, hopefully googles 3 and motion control 3 becomes available in DJI fly sim so I don't mess around with the drone in real life and risk crashing it.
The wind impacts it a bit more than AVATA 1, still not bad for what it is! I tried using the joystick but it seems to create very robotic manouvers, I wish it was better programmed to be smoother

Gyroflow segue la posizione del sensore e i dati del giroscopio vengono da lì, se si fanno movimenti fluidi riesce a stabilizzare tranquillamente

Good honest review. Personally, I think the new goggles are way more comfortable than all my other "traditional FPV goggles. It probably has a lot to do with face/head shape, but I feel like they're way more "locked on" than traditional gogs, and the FOV is at the limit of what I can get in frame. You do know you can tighten them with the dial on the back, right? Other than that, I think you nailed it.
They are comfier than stock goggle 2, but not aftermarket for me, yeah I tightened to the point of hurting, but it has a smaller contact area compared to the old anyway, and in some situations they will shake, but that's a niche use! Like now I am shooting a car parade and will need to fly from inside another car, that's a concern! For sure I like innovation, but I see too many obvious improvements, like make them swivel all the way up, and add a couple mounting points for aftermarket parts They should give people the choice to personalize their fit, and maybe they can even sell all the different inexpensive attachments and sell for a premium, I wouldn't criticize that much then
Death Roll yaw washout improved at least… hmm, I had the avata 1, and it was a dangerous drone, because of the yaw washout. This seems to be a little bit better, maybe I will try it. Thank you very much for this review

So I finally got the RC3 sticks adjusted properly and am about to get full acro.. I'm just curious, will that tutorial prompt with putting the 2 sticks on the green line to unlock full manual stop showing up after so many unlocks. I hope so because that is highly annoying lolol.
No it never stops showing, it's not a tutorial, but a environment to adjust camera angle and put throttle at the point of hover There Is a way to remove it modifying the parameters through drone hacks, but I don't know if it works on the AVATA 2 yet
It's not a tutorial prompt. It's a safety mechanism so you don't engage manual mode and instantly go into a freefall before you are ready.

I agree about that light leakage in the goggles 3. And that sweaty band sucks. I have ordered a foam replacement. I also hope they make goggles 2 compatible with the Avata 2 I like the bigger screen as well.
I bought it knowing I wouldn't like the motion controller. The gimbal is what sold me. Being able to adjust it on the fly without having to build some servo based monstrosity is gold.
Yeah I love that a lot, having a tiltable good quality Cinewhoop is golden, I just wish they add head tracking with normal controller
@Rimzler if we're honest the head tracking doesn't really work properly with this machine because of the 1 axis nature of the gimbal. I found the limits of it's ability very quickly. If you're just hovering around it's fine, but soon as you push it the tracking comes unstuck.
@@SickocrowAU yes absolutely, but I would love to be able to control up and down tilt with it while using the controller, shouldn't be so hard for DJI considering that all the input are mixed through the goggles already

Mine is far better still, but I have yet to find a damn company that makes the motors! They are either ignoring me or ripping me off ahahah I'm gonna try and reboot the project making the same thing for the AVATA 2, they should use the same motors

I use the goggles 2 everyday, so I immediately noticed that they kind of cheaped out on this new ones, I understand the marketing move but still see that they spent the money on useless stuff, that's why I'm sad Axisflying kit flies much better but has less battery and of course less image quality unless you put a naked GoPro

Is it possible to buy just the Avata 2 drone without radio or goggles and use it with other (superior) radio and goggles? I'm an absolute beginner (just started watching drone videos a few days ago), primarily interested in a drone for exploring distant islands and shorelines from my boat and for casual family videos.
Sounds like you should get the mini 4 pro instead of an FPV
How is the clarity in the goggles? Is it like the 1080p.. ish view at 7:21 in your video? I've been flying drones since DJI Phantom 1. Yes, I'm that old. I'm on the fence on this only because I have not used goggles before. I always use my Ipad.
The screens are not so big but clarity is perfect. Much better than looking at the screen

I see your frustration when it comes to performance, but if DJI put out a drone that was more true Acro Fun it would weigh less than 1/2 a pound, fly for about 3 minutes and be done. I would like to see DJI put out a drone that can fly like a real FPV Manual mode drone, but we both know DJI is primarily about video and photography. Not making toys 🧸 that are true manual mode fun where their primary purpose is to do crazy bad ass stunts. Not sure why people expect this from DJi? I wish they would. It would be cool to see what they can accomplish. 😊

Have you tried changing the Gain/Expo settings for the Motion Controller? That may smooth out your video... Just a thought, I don't claim to be an expert.
Yes you can smooth it out a bit but still not incredibly precise

Yes but you see a bit of the frame, if you are moving you dont

Exactly, maybe add it in the fly more combo or something, but if they enabled head tracking with normal radio the product would be totally unneeded

I mean i do get it, i think it should be an option but dji tries to cater to newer fpv pilots and the motion controller is best for that
You don’t have rear obstacle sensors! It’s just for indoor precise vision positioning… also: if you use real vision while flying,it will cancel the dvr recording, so probably you will crash without an idea where. For me the g3 worked better in term of ergonomics, but I agree, I too need imax fov ;) Gimbal is really helpful for filming. Slowly fly downwards into the woods, not possible without gimbal…. I bet they will make the rear sensors available in an update, will be super useful for tracking backwards! I wished they gave us strap mounting options on the goggles and let us decide!
