Please note that most of the techniques shown are for demonstration purposes only. We have included some footage of our then-newbie-level groundfighting sessions. It's not exactly Kali, but in a scuffle, you don't know what's going to happen so best be prepared, right? :) Of course we never want to go to the ground, but if ever we do, it's better if we know how to deal with it in case it happens.
My FMA background includes Rapido Realismo Kali, Modern Arnis, some limted Pekiti Tirsia Kali and Dekiti Tirsia Siradas. I also have some basic background in western boxing as well as Brazilian Jiu jitsu.
Panantukan is a term that has come to mean "Eskrima-based Filipino boxing" in the west. As a Filipino, I understand that the word "Panantukan" does not make sense in the context of the Filipino language, but I believe it is so deeply entrenched in FMA that the term is here to stay.

Gorgeous work... you guys never disappoint!
Good stuff! Cool fluid motions!
I love those live sparring drills. =)
Love it Doc. Nice hand moves.
Esta excelente!
Please make a video of pure pekiti kali vs mma. I dont think its about d teknik, its about how u use it. If u say u'l get destroyed lyk wat uv said, its like saying its not efective & wats d use for training.. all wil be useless..
Great!
really cool
That's impressive👍🥋✊💯
brother you are too kind!
Oh very good demonstration . but the question is have you used such technique against an MMA Fighter????
I haven't. I will probably get destroyed in the ring.
Fma always with weapon a bolo or a knife... In empty handed you must strike the fatal point to disable the enemy thats why its not applicable to mma speed with less power needed in this art
Theres a very good reason why fma is not for sporting events and these masters wont probably tell u why.
@@bladesociety good humble answer!
@@garthmasa4459 Thank you, brother! That is the honest truth :)
