  • it’s good to see that FMA is being taught to Filipinos.. FMA is the most efficient and one of the deadliest arts in the world. It is a national treasure of the PH. One of the reasons that prevented total invasion of our country from colonists in the past. It is sad to see that most Filipinos would want to spend a fortune just to learn a foreign and nearly useless martial art that are only made for sport, not knowing that a supreme martial art exists just around the corner. FMA’s efficiency has been perfected through warfare and countless lives in the past.

    • I have great respect for our culture and our art.. It is good to see that FMA is increasing in popularity.. our modern masters have promoted it properly. I only hope that there is a limit to it, hidden systems must always follow tradition. Rules that were made since ancient times that serves to protect the Filipino people and preserve the original form of the art. What you are doing here is impressive and hope that you keep teaching the art to our fellow Filipinos. It is the most relevant inheritance we got from our forefathers that still survives today.. Take care and God bless to you brother.

    • If only I could get connections do what you guys get to do in Philippines. I think it is so cool. In USA it is soooooooooo hard to get a university or any school, or a government group to let you teach. Also we don't have many multi-arts gyms as you guys seem to have where many teachers all train at one gym and pay a fee to use it. Most gyms here are so territorial and threatened by other teachers. They always keep to themselves. And all of the MMA gyms are really, really, really arrogant and want nothing to do with anything unless it is BJJ or Muay Thai etc. Then they all want to fight you and haze you on purpose too. I really liked Brawlers Lab where you can just bring your students to their location if you pay the owner a fee. It is pretty cool.

They're both here on youtube so you can check their respective systems out, and yes, they accept foreigners :)

  • Sir, what's the difference of rapido realismo kali compared to pekiti tirsia kali?

    @entengkabisote4970@entengkabisote49707 жыл бұрын
    • It's hard to answer that question, sir, since I only had minimal exposure to Pekiti Tirsia. It's the first FMA system I studied (under Tuhon Baldwin "Nonoy" Garrucho) but it was only for a few days. Pekiti Tirsia is an excellent system, and if I had easy access to it (at the time), I might have continued training under it. I'm not really sure about this, but I think the main difference is that mostly, everyone in PTK has to learn the same movements, like everyone has to move the same way to preserve the purity of the system, though I'm not really sure about it. That's only based on what I see here on youtube. I hope a PTK practitioner sees this post and gives a better and more accurate answer. In Rapido Realismo Kali, based on my experience, individualism is promoted. I used to ask Grandmaster Henry if I could do this or if I could do that, he says whatever works for me is good for him, I just had to make sure it can be applied under the "heat of battle". Guro Isagani also sees things that way - we all learn the same initial lessons, but we're free to experiment and add to the foundation, we just had to make sure the technique will "endure" under duress.

      @bladesociety@bladesociety7 жыл бұрын
    • Thank you for the answer sir. I asked this because me and my friends want to learn fma and they suggested PTK. They all said it is the martial art of the ph marines and more effective than other styles of kali. But im a fan of your videos and i love the theory behind the style of RRK (quick and realistic = effective). So it is really hard to pick between those two.

      @entengkabisote4970@entengkabisote49707 жыл бұрын
    • Thank you very much, sir, for your kind words and for your support for our videos. I think FMA systems have more in common than differences. If I may suggest trying both systems and see which one is more to your liking. You can also check their respective websites - PTK www.ptkhangkilan.com/ and pekiti-global-city.com/ ; RRK - rapidorealismokali.weebly.com/ , gurogani.weebly.com/guro-gani.html , and rrkespanya.weebly.com/
