I would be happy to have someone be there to look after the house, and also give him some chores to do while I'm gone. You know, keep him busy from taking the young blood. I'd also give him the task of cat-sitting while I'm gone. I'm sure He'd be happy to be doing things. If I got the letter, I'd write one back saying "Great! These guys so deserved a cameo on the Netflix show. I would love the family to hire private detectives and these two show up. One named CC Tinley. Ryan gets scared and runs away, Shane yells at the empty house to posses him as the family looks on flabbergasted!
LMAO CC Tinsley is on the case! Then no one ever heard from him again 🤣
Shane could be C.C. Tinsley and Ryan could be Ricky Goldsworth. That would be a squad to be reckoned with.
I feel like the Watcher was someone in the neighborhood who probably had a grudge against Maria. Maria grew up in this neighborhood, left, and wanted to come back. The Broaddus's were clearly targeted, and the fact that the person got so upset after the Broaddus's sent letters back to the neighborhood shows a deep personal investment and grudge. It's just so petty and sad. I wish the Broaddus's would've stayed in the neighborhood and just protect themselves. Once this story became viral, it's pretty clear in my opinion that whoever the stalker is has far more to lose than the Broaddus's if the truth plays out.
69th like - youre welcome
Especially after that whole "wench" comment. It's like, ok this person clearly has a special amount of grudge towards Maria and there must be something to that.
doesn’t make sense. if it was someone with a grudge against maria why would they also send neighbors letters who had nothing to do with her? plus they wouldn’t have even known that maria was going to live in the house because they were sent before the family moved in. so that theory just doesn’t really add up at all.
@@greennlover00it does lowkey. Maybe the whole neighborhood adored Maria, and clearly someone was jealous. Could be someone too close to you..

The fact that this video is way more scarier than the Netflix show is outstanding to me
I remember watching this video years ago and learning about this case. Now, after watching the new loosely based Netflix series I decided to re-watch this video to separate fiction from fact. Great work guys!
I literally did the same thing lol, while watching it on Netflix I knew the story sounded familiar. Then I realized i heard it from buzzfeed some years ago lol.
I think the couples were the watcher
“Loosely based” is an understatement
The series honestly is maddening to watch after having done research and stuff on the case. They know there's no true resolution so they're tying in other entirely unrelated true cases like the List murders and trying to claim it's based on a true story. If I don't think about the true story, it's an interesting show, however.
@@omowry2374 that's not really netflix fault though. the family said they didn't really want to be associated with the series and they wanted a lot of details to not be included in the story so netflix had free reign to make it however they wanted.

@@sympathiser_of_Germans_in_40s I feel like he heavily implies in his letter that he bugged the house. That way its feasibly for him to actually be listening in on them without anyone noticing
Or this was a clever attempt to make it appear like a stalker. If you misspelled names then it couldn’t possibly be the parents or new owners.
I ‘watched’ (😉) this when it came out and now I’m back after seeing the Netflix series and honestly no one tells the story better than Ryan and Shane. Funny that the family actually ended up selling the rights of their story lmao

It’s a very safe and wealthy suburban town, but there are alot of old-Victorian style homes that have been occupied for years some of which were passed down and are now home to elder recluses who dislike the “yuppy” types moving into town. Developers try and purchase this Victorian era homes to build more modern houses but these lifers refuse to sell. We are friends with many in the town government and the police chief has said they believe it was one of these old reclusive residents, probably living in a family home, who decided to mess with the new home owners.
me coming back after watching the netflix show and realizing i already knew the story from buzzfeed unsolved
Is it really paranoia if there's someone literally watching you and sending threatening letters though?
It's still Paranoia; Just justified paranoia! Wouldn't you become super wary in this situation?
Yes. Yes it does
Who knows ;)
The Watcher wtf
I guess it would come down to whether or not you could handle that type of physiological abuse.
They should’ve hired a watcher to catch the other watcher😂😂😂😂
🤣🤣
You ever read ‘did I ever tell you how lucky you are?’ By dr Seuss? With the bee watcher. And the bee watcher watcher. And the bee watcher watcher watcher....
This comment has a certain chaotic energy to it
😂😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣😂😂🤣🤣😂🤣
Damn you’re smart
Revisiting this video after watching the Netflix adaptation and oh man did they take some “creative” liberties when making that one.
The Watcher on Netflix brought be back here. I miss them 😭
Imagine the watcher watching this video and being like HELL YEAH IM ON BUZZFEED UNSOLVED
GalaxyNinja 678 ALL HAIL THE WATCHER

I love the idea that the watcher was just heavily dyslexic and spelt there names wrong
Love how this video is more scary than the one that Netflix made... Netflix version feel like it's parody instead..even their actings
i heard it wasn't great, so i came here instead.
@@smudgeeee6259 well they took an unsolved case, and added too many irrelevant fiction in it to make it interesting..they added an evil character n plot but still keeping it 'unsolved'..now who would explain the thing about that character..it still needs a closure
The real question is “Who watches The Watcher?”
Bryce’s Life easy. The watchers manager
And all of us watching this video
Shane does! Since he scares demons he must scare the watcher!
Then who watches the person that watches the watcher?
@@markh1562 The CEO of Watcher
Does anyone else just stare at the mannequin when it's in frame just waiting for it to move again?
It has moved?
it's just brandy AgAiN?
Hold up... AGAIN???
In the Roanoke episode, the mannequin moved its head to face its right.
@@SharkeCraft17 ya i think it was the Roanoke episode that it moved
It still feels crazy that I feel like I watched this episode release yesterday, so awesome how they made their channel named "Watcher" . Sometimes I wonder if the Netflix got released because of this episode lol
Netflix stole your flow bar for bar 😂
the watcher: does random creepy things shane and ryan: *all hail the watcher* also shane and ryan: make an entire company called watcher

I was gonna ask why you guys were watching unsolved mysteries at breakfast, and then I realized I'm a huge hypocrite bc I'm watching them before I get up for the day.
The biggest crime is the window arrangement on the front of the house.
And NOW Netflix has a series abt this. I’ve been known abt the watcher bc of y’all 😭
Stalkers creep me out more than almost anything. My hair stands on end just thinking about someone staring through my window
same. I have blinds AND blackout curtains and i'm still paranoid
logical.chaos same
Same when I used to live in Florida I always felt like someone was watching me and never felt safe there
SAME!! The idea of someone watching me in the one place where I should feel the safest creeps me the hell out!!!
Jiiiinnnnnn
I'm convinced The Watcher is: A: _A member of the board for the neighborhoods regulations_ and B: _Currently watching this video_ #postmortem
Jasmine V I thought they’d be part of the neighborhood thing, too. Makes sense
I think it was another buyer who couldn't fork up what the previous owner wanted.
I mean anyone that is not in their shoe or have been heavily stalked in their life cannot understand stress the family was going through. Totally insane stuff. I'm glad they have moved on now and settled elsewhere. The new Netflix TV series based on this is being premiered too
