Spot on, I think any other colour than black or silver would've looked off. Good job 👍
Cheers mate, yes I agree👍🏻
Great job what a difference a bit of paint makes.👌👍
They look spot on George, great job 👏🏻
Cheers Richard 👍🏻
Great video to show how easy it was for you to hand paint your calipers. Thanks George the really detailed description has inspired me to follow your instructions and paint the calipers on my E89
Good luck!
Looks good. Classy color.
Thanks Roland 🙏🏼
Looks amazing and thanks so much for sharing the knowledge and results.
Thanks for watching!
Thank you for this tutorial. Perfect for amateurs like myself. 👍
Glad to help!
Great job , did you not consider putting BMW decals on the calipers and over spraying with clear coat?
Great video, I'm going to tackle this job myself on my 330i after seeing this. Cheers
Good luck!
Beautiful job. The car looks very, very pretty.
Thanks!
Nice brush work there, George! It'll look even better with the car in motion too... 👍
Cheers mate, means a lot coming from an artist!
@@GeorgeAusters 😉👍
You got new fan, George!
Thanks buddy!
Great vid 👍 looking good, want to do mine but will do them black to match the body paint, keep up the great work 👍
Thanks Rob! 🙌🏼

Tks for the video. Good topic: how to put the jack in the rear.

@@GeorgeAusters tks very much
Great work. Which jackstands do you use? Usually with the regular ones the bmw jack points don't match well.

Smooth Hammerite works well as well, plus no need to use a rust killer.
I've never got good results with Hammerite on brake calipers. I don't know if it's the heat, but in my experience it's looked great for the first year or so then gradually starts to flake off.
Ive used some halfords red on a car and it chipped an flaked all the time and I have to keep patching. Used some of that exact e-tech paint on a merc in 2010 and it still looks like the day I put it on, I dont get why it keeps good so long
I think the main reason for flaking is poor prep… If you’re paining over flaking rust then it will just fall off👍🏻
Looks much better. Pretty sure the fronts are single piston jobbies just with a big body; they look the same as my 335i callipers. Personally I think it’s worth popping the spring clips out before painting. I’m going to paint the spring clips black on mine for a bit of contrast.
They're twin piston.. I rebuilt them here: kzhead.info/sun/hJ2PodmBpl-pp4U/bejne.html
@@GeorgeAusters interesting; they look identical to mine which are single piston as were the E9x M3.
Yeah they probably look the same but these brakes are much bigger.. Pretty sure they’re the same size as the M5 brakes
@@GeorgeAusters it seems that the 760 used various sized front rotors from 348 to 374. 348mm is the same size as not 335 and the 374 is the M5/6 size.
Yeah these are 374mm front and 370mm rear
Nice job...not super smooth, but with silver and stock look, I don't think you need it real smooth. I'm debating red vs silver...If you don't have big brembo calipers, etc., I think the red, etc., kind of looks a little silly...like trying to be a multiple piston Brembo want-a-be. Silver just looks stock and reasonably classy. I would take out the pads, etc., if I did it.
👍 What paint colour is on the wheels? It looks OEM perfect.
Yes it is.. Titanium silver
Just a heat gun to dry them quicker. This can be done in a day.
Exactly what i was thinking... He did nice work but spend too much time on drying
🙌🏼
what?
Good thorough video but now need a shave
good job bud, you can come and do mine if you like ?
Haha you wish! Painting is probably the thing I dispise the most!
