He was trying to avoid takedowns too much. And khabib usually goes for gnp and he only went for submissions against gaethje which he probably didn't expect

Kamaru hangs out with Khabib. He also trains with islam, Usman, and Umar. Kamaru helped Usman train for his title fight. So I’m sure he’s told Justin to be careful. Remember that Khabib went easy on Justin. Same manager Ali.

i think Gaethje is a way better striker, but the thing is, no matter how skilled you are at striking, you can't have a better pace facing ur opponent with striking without worrying about the takedown and wrestling, that's why in his fight against Khabib, Gaethje lost his pace.
It was really frustrating for Usman, he should not have accepted this fight for only three rounds. Usman is not that kind of fighter to fight in a three rounder like someone against Khamzat. We wanted to see more, it's too easy for Khamzat rn, he hasn't been tested yet in a five round fight, Usman could have been a good test unfortunately we still don't know what Khamzat is capable of in the later rounds..
Usman got smashed, even if he won the last two rounds (if it was a 5 round fight) he'd still have lost.
Bro check your facts first. DC himself said that 5 round fight offered to Usman but he didn't take it himself.
Usman is the ones who asked 3rounds because of short notice, 5rounder doesn’t change the game at this point.

The problem with Justin is that he has such a glaring weakness in his ground game. It's going to be disappointing if he just gets taken down and submitted.

Gaethje has always had no filter or subtlety when it comes to his dialogue. He literally tells it like it is and it's often hilarious to watch lol.
The Usman fight almost made tear up a lil bit lol. I was a Usman cringe hater. It's something about people that get hated for no reason having to lose very unfortunately. I think 5 rounds was the right move for that fight, but my god I hope Usman can brush it off. He did absolutely nothing wrong to be hated on the way he did. Very sad spot he is in.
I use to hate Usman too, but just like you, I also found myslef borderline emotional with this fight, I hope we see Usman come back and fight again. He’s truly one the GOATs at WW

Personally, I'd love to see Islam vs Colby. Doesn't matter if Colby wins against Leon or not. Two of the best technical fighters in the UFC going head to head. Justin is one of my favorite fighters ever. But before his fight with Khabib people were talking about how hard it is to take him down and control him. Khabib did it with ease and unfortunately Islam will do the same to him. Control him for 1,2 rounds, exhaust him and then finish him by sub or tko. That's how it will go

Personally I had the Usman fight as a draw, but there's no way that first round wasn't 10-8 for Chimaev.
How can you have a draw when the first round is a 10-8???
10+9+9=28 and 8+10+10=28. You'll notice that both totals are 28, which is the same number. So that usually means a draw, because neither number, both of which are 28, is higher than the other, because they are the same.@@alllivesmatter3561

DAMAGE is the number one scoring criteria, if you do no damage how can you score a complete domination?
@@JohnSmith-wr8oq It's number one but not the only. If no one does damage in a round, you look at other factors. And besides, Khamzat's grappling was incredibly effective, which is up there with effective striking as a scoring criteria.
I'm sorry but as much as I would like to see it and as much as I'm a Gaejthe fan he doesn't deserve another title shot already, the guy has had 2 in his last 5 fights... His longest win streak in the UFC is 4 fights and Charles win streak was almost as long as Justins entire UFC career.

Actually Justin has wrestling background, but never actually used it too much cause he was superior enough to achieve his record while standing. He said multiple times that he wants to give the best looking fights in the ufc and he would rather lose than hug with his opponents.
I think Justin is the toughest style match up for Islam. I know Khabib got him down quickly but its hard to hold down a D1 wrestler. I’m very intrigued to know what Islam’s approach would be w Justin.

@@cr-it5lh forget I said D1. It’s hard to take Gaethje down. Islam’s obviously favourite but stylistically, I think, that it’s his toughest fight. Bc Volk is obviously way more skilled than Gaethje but Volk is considerably smaller in frame and natural weight. That has to mean something. And Gaethje packs something on his shots. I don’t think Volk carries power at 155. Gaethje is way more tactical than people give him credit for. He throws leg kicks from any angle and is a very polished striker. He didn’t fight smart against Charles and against Khabib he just encountered someone superior but you can’t discredit Gaethje. I wholeheartedly will support Islam for the fight but I’m saying hugs stylistically that it’s his toughest fight.
I don’t mind a Olivera vs Islam 2 rematch and Gaethje gets the winner. I feel that it ends a similar way to the Khabib fight,but Justin has dangerous kickboxing offense in his own right also but he doesn’t have have good submission defense

Justin would fight Khabib 2.0 in Islam and get beat as as well and Charles would lose again. Let Islam fight Colby Covington if he wins, that's the fight I want to see. They are similar in size, Islam would be a WW but on the smaller size and Colby is a smaller WW already. Islam to me already proved he deserves big fights, he finishes people, top fighters with dominate fashion. I mean if Colby wins against Leon, Islam would maybe finish him too.
