I don't know why people dislike this movie, it has a mall and a cop, just like the title promised. 10/10
Maybe it's because it's one of those generic 2000s comedy movies and that it's nothing special realy that you just watch on TV.
And a Paul Blart.
Cuz he couldn’t stop a black friday insurrection if he tried.
This film tried to be super troopers but missed by a mile. It's even worse than the actual super troopers sequel which blew chunks and sucked balls!
@@anthonyness5360and? 2000s comedy movies are amazing!
Wow! That last comparison btwn the fence jump shot cuts actually raised my level of respect for Kevin James exponentially.
1^2 is still 1. 😂
It raised my respect levels logarithmically
to be fair, Kevin Jame's is actually more athletic than you'd think
Didn’t he do a lot of stunt work in Here Comes the Boom, too?
@@waross8214 the Jack Black effect
My take away from this is that Kevin James is a GOAT at doing his own stunts
Him bouncing back off the glass doors cracks me up!
Discount Chris Farley.
He's obviously a mix between Tom Cruise and Keanu Reeves. 😁🤡
@@mori1bund Tropic Thunder Tom Cruise?
The saddest thing about Kevin James is despite continually being in some of the worst, most unfunny pieces of media ever created, he's amazingly talented with physical comedy (and his stand up's pretty good too, so it's not he can't be hilarious). For god's sakes, Kevin, have higher standards for the scripts you take man; you're way better than all of this.
I'm genually impressed that he hopped that fence in one take
See, Hollywood? It CAN be done!
I'll admit I had a phase when I was 10 when I couldn't stop watching this movie. And I know it gets a lot of hate, but I still love it. Yes, it's silly and the acting is half-assed, but there's just something charming about how not seriously it takes himself. One of Kevin James' best roles in my opinion.
Agreed
Can't argue with that.
Speak your truth!!
Got that right.
We all got one of those
This movie wasn't supposed to be a comedy where you laugh at how pathetic something is because they take their dead end job too seriously, but that's how it was advertised. It's really a story about how a typically unlikable guy prone to humiliating failures is able to finally triumph by taking himself seriously. It's actually quite good and charming, and it's such a shame they utterly ruined it with the sequel.
Congrats for being the target demographic
Bro no one cares go cry
@@youknowwhoyouare2269everybody who watch this film is that
Lmao
I watched this movie with some buddies, and we all kinda enjoyed it. Maybe the real Paul Blart was the friends we made along the way.
Ok, that fence jump comparison at the end was hilarious. 😂
It's genuinely pretty good, the badly written villains and cheesy one-liners are great ironic self-aware parody comedy bits making fun of those types of legit cheesy action movies. And Kevin James is just so dang loveable c'mon! :D
Rob Schneider type logic
@@youknowwhoyouare2269awesome
unowhour type illogic
Parody and self deprecating humor go over Gen Z's head and when this movie came out Gen Z (when they were kids) were part of the target audience.
Next week, please say, "He was in the Amazon with my mom, when she was researching spiders, right before she died" in your Epic Voice
Madame Web, baby!
La Webona 🕸️
That line sounds so ludicrously stupid, even in context.
@@TheRealNormanBates how?
"He was on Jakku with my mom, when she was researching star wars, right before she died."
Love it or hate it, Paul Blart will always be a classic.
Love it or hate it, Paul Blart will always be.
Paul Blart is a cinematic masterpiece and deserves all the love.
Kevin James will always have my respect for being in Hitch with Will Smith and Eva Mendes and not weighing down the cast but instead being a high of the movie.
Lowest bar ever. He could have slid over it.
Are you high?
I second that, James was a highlight
Good script and directions can make any decent actor look good.
Dropping a Bill Bailey reference on Honest Trailers is something I did not expect today; I'm glad he has reached these shores too
Black Books!!!!! =)
Everything that you said is what makes this movie great.
Mad props for that fence stunt. And all the others that look like he did them. Especially in here comes the boom.
*You guys need to do an Honest Trailer for "Planes, Trains, and Automobiles" for the holiday season!*
Yeeessss!!
I'm honestly surprised they haven't done one already.
@@Rhomega Yeah. I did a search to make sure.
Oh great now I'm gonna have that Devil John Candy clip stuck in my head for next hour XDXDXDXDXDXD
@@TeryJones at least your head won't be between two pillows :D
I used to work in a dental office that played PG movies in the lobby. Paul Blart was one of my faves.
They filmed Mall Cop at a local mall near my hometown. They kept the mall open when they weren't filming, so we got to see the set designs and Christmas decorations hanging up in May. It was kinda neat, tbh.
I had the same experience with kindergarten cop. Working at the mall and watching Schwarzenegger hanging out and filming was fun.
"From the Adam Sandler employment agency" I FUCKING LOST IT hahahhaahhaah
You know, I really respect the mastery of the segway Kevin James got for this movie, he does a lot of stunts on that goofy thing in just one cut
How have we not had an honest trailer for 'Hitch' (2005) yet? 🤔
I‘ve seen this movie a grand total of one time - nearly ten years ago, we went to stay at my cousins’ house during my first time in the US and my aunt randomly put it on. I thought it was the best, funniest thing ever (I recognised Jayma Mays from the Smurfs films, which I also loved) and then proceeded to almost never think about it again. Memories. ☺️
Fun fact: this movie was co-written by Nick Bakay (the voice of Salem from Sabrina the Teenage Witch)
I gotta admit: That was some smooth Segway riding in the tunnel.
I watched mall cop with my sister when I was a kid and I couldn’t stop laughing throughout the whole movie. I love that movie
That last joke about Kevin James "taking down this fence in 30 fewer cuts than Liam Neeson" was eaily the best in the whole video! That earned a like.
This movie is one of my all time favourites. Pure entertainment.
I'm surprised to see Epic Voice Guy knows who Bill Bailey is. Black Books fans represent!
This movie was ahead of its time with the comedy
It’s crazy how this movie was partially filmed at the mall I used to work at. And no, a lot of the stuff from the movie isn’t in that mall.
I felt the same way about kindergarten cop. Watching Arnold filming was fun.
Paul Blart Mall Cop is an American classic, and I will never be convinced otherwise
Iconic film. Iconic actor.
I actually enjoyed this movie. You weren't supposed to take it too seriously, and it had many funny moments. Plus it was heartwarming seeing Blart overcome his insecurities and save the day.
This is a guilty pleasure of mine. I know the comedy is juvenile, and the main character is unlikeable, but I can't hate it. Every time I watch a clip, I laugh inside.
The sequel is peak when you sync it with Pink Floydd's Dark Side of the Moon
I was looking for one of us
😂😂💀
I was gonna say: how can one review Paul Blart and not mention the masterpiece that is Paul Blart 2 syncing perfectly to Pink Floydd? Best stonerwatch ever.
Just start the movie and the album at the same time? Asking for a friend?
I thought if you watched backward it said Paul is dead.
I went and saw this in the cinema with a mate when it came out. We were the only people in the theatre except for 1 guy with a clipboard (possibly a reviewer for the local newspaper). He left about halfway through.
KZheadrs here for confessionals instead of repenting
I laugh at this movie still. It's a funny comedy
I enjoyed it, hope there's a 3rd movie. The points in this are valid but movies like this are just good fun. 👍🏻
It’s funny you’re doing this movie today, because on Sunday, at a Friendsgiving, we were playing Jack Box games. One of them was a rap battle, and with the prompts I was given, I came up with the rap “Forget *Ghostbusters;* for you I’d call Walmart/Let’s see the fighting style of mall cop Paul Blart”. Everyone was cracking up laughing, and I won that round.
Second hand embarrassment reading this, imagine being proud to vulture culture
Observe and report is great and deserves more credit
Some people need to understand that not every one wants to watch serious movie after serious movie all the time. And some times they just wanna pass the time by watching a fun stupid movie. And movies like that are just perfect :)
People like you are why studios are just fine with pooping out crap, cause you still go see it and convince yourself you've enjoyed it.
Honestly, I tried watching this movie and could not get through half of it, it was so bad. I got through it farther than I did the "Garbage Pail Kids Movie," though!
@@TinFoilCrotchBoyI don't even like this movie, but that condescending argument of 'people like you are' truly annoys me. And I'm sure he knows what he truly enjoys just fine.
@@TinFoilCrotchBoy And people like you dont have to watch them. No one is making you. So everyone is happy :) Also personally i dont go to theaters to watch comedies. I watch it at home.
Yeah, but they should still be good. They should still be good movies. Well written movies! You have no standards it seems.
Would have loved a reference to how the sequel syncs well with Dark Side of the Moon
Wait...You haven't done this one yet? In any case, I thought the first Mall Cop-movie wasn't bad. Sure, it has some awkward moments, but which romance-movie doesn't? I just don't know why they gave it a sequel.
My mom pulled me out of class when i was in the 5th grade after my classmates voted on this movie for our pizza day celebration because there was dirty humor in it and she didnt want me to see that. It then took me 10 more years to realize I grew up in an abusive home and she's a narcisist with control issues.
I'm calling CPS right meow
Loki Season 2! COME ON!
I didn't need more of this movie this week knowing that the annual Til Death Do Is Blart podcast is just a couple days away.... but I'll take it.
Do the second half of Barbenheimer next!
Not gonna lie... I laughed more at the Paul Blart clips than the HT jokes, and I love HT jokes. Blart is just the man!
Thank you Mr Epic Voice Guy you just made my day
Please do Tropic Thunder!!! I need that video in my life!!!!
A classic
Kevin James, Sweat The Small Stuff is a great stand up special. Family friendly but still so relatable.
Agreed! The bit about the greeting cards at the end was hilarious 🤣👍
It was a fun, mindless film that made way more money than it cost. Well done! ;)
This is one of those movies that I'm glad I saw when I was a child. It was one of the funniest things I'd seen at that time. Under no circumstances will I ever watch it again.
That ending was a perfect redeeming part for Kevin James. He is actually a stud stuntman. 😂😂
Please do an Honest Streaming Trailer for Netflix's DARK and say "The Beginning is The End and The End is The Beginning" and "Sic Mundus Creatus Est."
I guess we’re waiting another year for planes trains and automobiles
Perfect movie
Hot Rod is one of those movies that just spoon feeds you the punchlines you should do that one next
Never thought Bill Bailey would get a reference in an Honest Trailer. Glad to know the legend is appreciated across The Pond.
Wow I really didn't need to know this had a sequel lol😅
Yes. Don't watch it. Just watch this again inebriated.

@@youknowwhoyouare2269 I mean it’s a Kevin James movie, you either like it or don’t, Happy Madison isn’t exactly high art of films
Paul Blart is iconic
I watched this in theatres when it came out and I still haven't forgiven myself.
I don't forgive you either☹️
"Peanut butter... fills the cracks in my heart." That is one of the funniest lines I've ever heard.
I get all the criticisms of the movie, but the moment when his dreams are crushed and he sits down to cry at his computer to sad background music AND THEN WE REALIZE THAT HE'S ACTUALLY PLAYING THE SAD MUSIC ON HIS STEREO is so hilarious that it makes up for the film's sins.
Please do an Honest Trailer for Scott Pilgrim Takes Off!
Do Crazy Rich Indians Next! I mean Killers of the Flower Moon...
Paul Blart 2 copped the Aus$10 Hoyts members discount movie of the week treatment the week after being released. That should tell you something.. Also, the first one was a January cinema release, which is usually where the contractually obligated cinema releases that movie studios expect nothing from get buried. e.g Jupiter Ascending, Monster Trucks, Doolittle.
Thank you for doing Paul Blart: Mall Cop and featuring my comment.
You’ll do Paul Blart before Scrubs?!
I'll just watch Hot Fuzz again. The Bill Bailey line reminded of that masterwork.
I work at the Mall which the movie was filmed at. Its the Burlington Mall in Massachusetts.
One of my favourite guilty pleasure films! I watch it once every November.
Please do an HT for Batman Beyond
Wow! Paul Blart Mall Cop was one my Favorite Movies on Netflix This is such a Believable Cinematic Masterpiece.
Its shocking how Observe and Report is the literal same movie, just with dark humor
Thank you for mentioning Observe and Report
Anyone else here just waiting for Til Death Do Us Blart?
Someone's been listening to Til Death Do Us Blart...
Only seen bits of these movies on TV. How appropriate since this movie takes place in a Mall and Black Friday is just around the corner. Happy Thanksgiving people! 🦃
TIL Jayme Mays also starred in a movie called Larry Gaye: Renegade Male Flight Attendant. If there’s a movie whose title is [Male Name] [semicolon] [unpopular job title], she is basically Meryl Streep.
Always happy to see Larry Gaye get a mention.
Please do a trailer for Hardcore Henry!
Haha! I just told my wife this is the third best Thanksgiving movie! (All apologies to Home for the Holidays)…now do Planes, Trains and Automobiles and Son-In-Law the next two years!!!!
Now's it the fourth best Thanksgiving movie (and second best Black Friday movie)
yes, Son in Law because this channel needs more Pauly Shore
Getting a Five Nights at Freddy’s ad on this makes me think this Honest Trailer is a subliminal security guard movie promotion
The ad I saw before this started was for eBay and had a picture of a Segway on it. AI is getting pretty sharp!
The greatest movie of all time
Best Thanksgiving movie
I liked it.
Troll alert 😂 (at least I hope you're trolling)
_Oppenheimer_ just came out on digital today! Can we get the Honest Trailer next week?
Literally the only reason I watch this is nostalgia for the location filming at the old Burlington, MA Mall I used to mall-crawl growing up. Yes, for me, a case where the scenery DOES upstage the actor.
the farting sound transition is nice! good job!
Kevin James has been killing it with physical comedy for a long time. There's a scene in King of Queens where he's running across a campus to turn in a test or something and it's like a mini-highlight reel of great physical comedy.

Please say "We know it's hard, but it's the truth Miles."
Please say, “I sell Christmas trees on Rodeo Drive.”
Can you make the next Honest TV trailer on Better Call Saul?
3:45 It’s actually Jayma Mays. I remember that because she was also in Smurfs. Which is also pretty pathetic of me to know that.

WOW! How this movie SO dates itself!
I liked how smooth voice guy segued to segway clips.
