Workshop Diaries - From Season 1 Episode 22 "Tesla VS Range Rover; Up A Steep Hill...": Not really a fair race but while driving the Range Rover to the MoT station for its date with destiny I had a bit of a tangle with a Tesla. Edd China's Workshop Diaries 22: Driving 'Moss' Daisy to the MoT station & Fixing the wiring on a trailer & Adding some bling to the mezzanine.
Driving 'Moss Daisy to the MoT station turns out to be a little more eventful than planned. Then, with the filthy 4x4 out of the workshop I also take the opportunity to get some other jobs ticked off my ever-growing list: I track down and fix a wiring issue on my car transporter trailer (a Brian James Race Transporter 6) and then I go upstairs to finish a job on my hang out space - the mezzanine's stainless steel balustrade. Stainless steel balustrade supplied by SWR Balustrade in Hemel Hempstead. Curved handrail bent by T+T Tubecraft in Woking.

What are your thoughts on the 1980s Maserati biturbos? I had an 86 spider, but I could never get it running.

Edd I have a question. Vauxhall zafira 1.8 2004. Had a new cat new downpipe several bank 1 S2 O2 sensors. Still says heater failure on that O2 sensor. I've rewired the heater circuit so it has a good feed. In and out. Now same car is giving code p1110. It's a big standard zafira. Customer keeps coming back too me. I'm thinking ecu kit. I mean what does p1110 relate to on a non turbo none variable timing old zafira? I can't find a pin lay out for the z18xe ecu online. Incase the 2 pins are next to each other and touching inside. Any ideas mate - sorry to be a pain.

One fun idea for something future, a 100% scratch-built vehicle (I.E. not using an existing car as a base); I've an interest in this as I'd love to get the 3-wheel go-kart project in my head road-legal, but the SVA manual, god is it geared up to say no from the outset, like they don't want us to be creative engineers that would rather do our own thing and have something fun to play with...
Have a look at a channel called Pedalbox - they're building a car pretty much from scratch and it's going to road legal SVA/IVA compliant.
At last new contents true legend never forgot 🥰 great mechanic

I have had success in the past with stubborn bleeders by using a 3/8" drive impact with a butterfly paddle. They are not extremely powerful so you snap the bleeder off and you can control the air with the paddle to give softer hits. Always use an impact socket as chrome sockets can split or ones with peeling chrome will cut you like ten surgical knives. Flat plane cranks used in V-8s have a balance problem that cannot be solved and it makes power at a cost.

Almost forgot about the Lambo. Reminds me of, I never got around to asking you how comfortable it is to drive, when you're a skyscraper. It looked like you almost couldn't fit in there, but I would also think that comfort was overrated if I got the chance to drive a car like that 😊

If you want to build a Chitty Bang Bang-style car of your own, all you need is an old chassis and an aero engine of some sort - preferably at least 100 years old. The original "Chitty Bang Bang" made by Count Zborowski was an old Mercedes chassis (chain drive!) with a Maybach aero engine (from a zeppelin, I think) of somewhere around 23 liters capacity or thereabouts.
Do you ever get frustrated by the fact that most ‘sporty’ cars are not made fro people over 5’ 10”? I dearly wanted a lotus europa but after a the test drive i realized that i was just too tall to live with the car.

Land Rover Sophie has some great videos. She is a little slow on uploads at the moment, but her videos are well worth binge watching to see really in depth rebuilds. Frame off,new chassis, cut n shut panel repairs etc.
