Workshop Diaries - From Season 1 Episode 19 "Why is there chocolate sauce in the Range Rover gearbox?" The day has finally come, our 1986 Range Rover is finally going to get clean. But will it make a difference, will we be able to tell at all with all that rust and peeling paint? Will the car still be carbon neutral if we wash off all the vegetation? Will it fall apart if we remove all the cobwebs? Will it simply dissolve when the water hits it? Well, we're about to find out.
Surely, now it runs and it's clean, it will be ready for its MoT test. Or will we find something else that needs to be fixed first?... @Edd China , I must say I'm impressed that it is possible to go from 963000 to 973000 subscribers since Christmas, posting nothing but re-runs. 😂😂😂 But I'm also 100% sure you would have passed the million subs now, had you byen posting new content. We who also follow Bad Obsession Motorsports, where you sweep the floors 😂, have months between new content, and yet we wait patiently. I much prefer their strategy over yours.
This content is all over the place
There should be an "Edd Shop chopped" channel with longer episodes chopped by sequence and theme playlists. I like the content a lot but I'm sure I'm not the only one postponing watching because I don't have 30-40min atm. Then it doesn't get recommended and the backlog is so long with such story shows that I kinda give up. Several other long format shows do that and it seems to be a decent way to add user-friendly content at low cost. Also useful when looking for specific stuff like repair tricks.

20:48 How do you usually get another screw if by accident or the one is "in" wears out? since you usually need some specific size or manufactureur ones? what techniques can be used to take them off when they get locked and can't get them out? drill?
Ok, thats it. If this channel is just about reuploading stuff now i'm out. If ther iss no new content that is totaly fine, but reuploading the old stuff, like a tv rerun, that is not how youtube works. This was a great channel and I liked all your videos a lot. I'm sad for the choosen strategy. Maybe somebody behind the scenes will realize the mistake and correct it in the future. I'll be looking forward to this!

he hasn’t uploaded any new content since Dec 2022. For whatever reason someone is just reuploading old videos without any order or consistency. He’s also been absent from Insta and Twitter since then. Haven’t found any information about it anywhere, some think he might be sick. I hope he’s ok :( but I’m unsubscribing

I know edd has said there will be new stuff soon but all my trust is now 100% gone when i see a new video because there is now no guarantee that its actually going to be new
What's the rush? Give Edd and Paul and the other people that make this show some time. The range rover had such a massive list of faults and mistakes that it takes time to make a scenario of what to do and not. I for one think that Edd and crew will return probably when the weather is a bit better? His garage probably still hasn't got it's heating and cooling system in place.

I suspect that Edd took a page out of the Discovery Channels book, the page that speaks of the value of re-runs to retain viewership. While his facebook page have been promising new content just last week and yesterday, there has been no specification asto when this would be aside from "soon". perhaps Edd should make some "shorts" in the meanwhile, highlighting something particular he's working on for an upcoming episode, or just have him doing a deep-scrub of some part of the car that they won't be replacing, but also won't have the entire section on cleaning/fixing a part in an actual episode?

Ed, loving the vids, but they are all over the place in terms of titles, episodes, job stages etc. use playlists to group them all together step by step otherwise it gets confusing

When draining oil and other fluids from an older vehicle, always start by checking that you'll be able to get access to fill with new fluid/oil first. Using the transmission oil as an example, if you drain the old oil first, then find that the fill bolt is seized in place (or even worse sheared off), you'll be in a situation where you now have a vehicle with no transmission oil, and no way of putting oil in, and having old transmission oil is better than no oil at all! :)
