How does one unseize a Brake Caliper? I'm here to show you how to do exactly that!
What would you like to see me do in my workshop? Watch full episodes of Workshop Diaries here: bit.ly/3YPXLkR
Workshop Diaries - From Season 1 Episode 28 "Could this tiny tube of metal fix our broken suspension?": Will installing thread inserts to replace stripped threads in cast aluminum suspension arms actually be strong enough to go rallying with? Does torquing up big bolts give us a nice click or another horrible bang?

  • How are we liking the new end screen? 🙌Videos being uploaded will vary from full episodes and clips to compilations and Shorts and will be posted more frequently at around 3-4 times per week. We've got lots of exciting things to come on the channel, including new content!

    • We're looking forward to new content - would be good to have a regular rather than stop-start schedule. Currently I would diagnose a clogged fuel filter in the video production room the way videos are being released right now

    • Not a fan of reposts tbh Edd. I don't like the feeling of getting part way through a video and getting deja-vu because it's rebadged content. You've caught me out twice now, three times will be an unclicking of the bell and an unsubscription. I'd rather have only new content less regularly than having to bother figuring out what I've seen already or not thrice a week. (Love your work, just being honest mate).

    • I don't mind reposts/clip videos but can you please mark them as such in some subtle way? I've watched every one of your videos already. If I know a "new" video is old material I might watch it anyway without being annoyed if it helps support the channel. Tricking loyal followers into watching old stuff isn't great relationship building.

  • "How To Unseize A Brake Caliper" Edd - "Just fit a shiny new one" C'mon Edd, we want to see you drown it in WD40, max out the press, beat 7 shades of granny out of it with a club hammer before hurling it across the workshop into the scrap pile, whilst calmly saying to camera "I guess you can't save them all".

  • Let's rewind the clock back and remember his father in-law wasn't very well last year. Edd was stuck in a snowy Norway helping to look after his father in-law and other things. Consider these things: He might be there in Norway. Something has taken priority over everything else. Things come to a natural conclusion because of everyone involved have other important commitments. I am sure in time Edd shall post something to provide an update. But in the meanwhile let's just respect he clearly has something that is much more important. 🙏 Peace, love and harmony to all 🙏

    • Then updates in the community tab is a better sollution than reposting videos. "Reposting the same video multiple times on your Channel counts as spam. You will most likely not be accepted into the KZhead Partner Program for spam later down the line and in absolute worst cases get striked since "spam" is against the community guidelines."

    • @@garyhalkon8749 I think it is getting increasingly difficult to get sponsors to pay enough on such an unreliable production regime which is why you get 2 videos of using the "cool" laser blaster which admittedly was a cool thing but a 5 minute segment would have been plenty. If you have time to repost a video you have time to write. "There will not be any new videos for some time due to personal circumstances." People who dont make tens of thousands per video can afford themselves to do that so I cant see why a millionaire couldnt.

  • I must say that I enjoy watching and learning from you. Years ago my brother paid for a motor mechanics course for me. I ended up quitting, because the instructor started the course off with nothing but formulas, ratios and the like, for at least the first 3 months, so I quit. He didn't even try to make the course remotely interesting! I have been doing and learning on the go ever since. 1989 was a turning point. I haven't sent a car or bike to the garage to fix something I could do myself, hence I haven't sent a vehicle to be fixed since 89! I do wish my instructor had more of a classroom presence like you, I wouldn't have quit then!

Please mind to left free the 20% on space at the bottom, while filming or edit, to not have the overlap between subtitles and important details. Many thanks. 😀

  • Neat technique with the cable ties. Has anybody produced special pliers for the collet-attachment tasks? It looks like somewhere a dedicated tool would help, but maybe it's not done enough to create a demand? Might it make sense to put all the fittings for both ends onto the hose as soon as theres's a clean end, (possibly the necked one), to put them on? It would be easy to see then that all the components were present and in the right order.
