I made a BAR out of a POLAR BEAR | Workshop Diaries | Edd China
It’s Christmas so of course it’s time for a festive beer, a polar beer, from a Polar Bear Bar. Like a Christmas cracker tongue twister, It’s A Polar Bear Beer Bar.
Find out everything you need to know about how to make a bar out of a polar bear. Forget rust for a bit, let's focus on pouring the perfect pint of ice cool draft Moretti beer, from a very special custom bar, made from the most festive of bears, A Polar Bear.
This could be the world's coolest man cave toy!

Loved turning Bjorn into a bar and the new neon really adds to the mezzanine too. What does the workshop need next?… Let me know in the comments and remember to Like, Subscribe and click on the Bell to find out when the next video goes up. Have a great Christmas & New Year!!
Insulation would be my top priority. :) Cheers & Skål!
Question is, how were you pouring those other pints while it was all in pieces? 😉
how about making some really funky neon lights .like they had in the 50s look good around the workshop .happy Xmas
In fact, the workshop needs the birth of a dream car designed entirely by you. CNC Plasma cutter as hardware. Note:A car made entirely by you, from the drawing to the first move.
Merry Christmas 🎄 and a Happy New Year! Perhaps a grill or something to cook on for the workshop? 🤔
Happy Christmas to you, Edd, and all the people behind the camera that work to make this channel happen! 👍🎄
For the round backlit part, if you have access to a 3d printer you could make a design with a polar bear on it and perhaps the words "Polar Beer" on it then convert it to a lithophane and print! :)
Great idea, its added to the list.
Interesting to see this "no car" content in between series. Some could complain, but this is still about making things work cleverly. And everything counts for increasing the channel funds, hence more episodes to come.
The break down of how works is really cool, no pun intended. I used to install lines and fonts in pubs/ clubs etc until around 2010 I can see how this has really made a difference, having also worked in pubs I do have a soft spot for cellars etc but I won’t miss line cleaning haha.. love the polar bear bar idea, merry Christmas Edd and everyone at the workshop 😊
Thanks very much, glad you like it, PolarClean is a clever product.
Personally I loved line cleaning night, 17 heads with 2 to three pints in each one before there was any danger of the cleaning fluid coming through, always ran a bit of food colouring in water through first so we knew when to stop drinking what came out of them.
Sometimes you get the bar, sometimes the bar gets you…
The bar ALWAYS gets me!
We need another series like The Secret Life Of Machines (Tim Hunkin and Rex Goddard R.I.P.) that puts in Layman's language ..How things work and Edd is the perfect tutor!
Looks like a lot of blisters on that job. They always show up when the hard work is done. 🙂
Thanks to you and other car resto programmes , I set out to restore a 1967 Holden Premier Sedan. The car is nearing completion after many years if work , but it will be worth all the work
Edd eres un genio!!! Solo alguien como tú puede dar el toque especial a éste tipo de cosas!!! Te felicito sinceramente por todo tu trabajo y dedicación que le das a todo lo que haces!! 👏🏻✌️
Bjorn is a legend!
HAPPY BEER DAY EDD!!! 🍻
Edd, you are professional grade, and another great video. Your engineering, fabrication and problem solving skills are top shelf. I also like that new tool I need, the Milwaukee right angle drill attachment. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you and crew.
Thanks very much. the right angle drill is very handy too!
Merry Christmas Edd! Thanks for all the great vids this past year! Can't wait to see what you have cooked up for 2023.
Another great and very original project! They should have these in those ice hotels and bars. It would be cool if you could find a leaning polar bear, with it's other paw as if it's holding something. This way, you can put the cooling system in a fake tree trunk he's leaning on.
I started to work out how to hide all of the gubbins inside but it seemed to delay the prospect of beer o clock so I went for style over hassle. Tree trunk of maybe a snow man would be a great idea.
@@eddchina Hiding it all in the bear would be one hell of a challenge! It turned out awesome this way. Always nice to original things being made. Loving the channel, such great video's, I hope you keep making them for years to come!
As always very cool! Merry Christmas to all in the workshop. Look forward to many more project videos🍻🍻🍻🍻🍻🍻🍻🍻
Love your videos Ed. No matter the subject always interesting and good fun to watch. Merry Christmas and all the best from here in Canada.
Glad you enjoy them all, we try to mix things up a bit.
Glad to see the process of getting a pint in the shop is little more bearable now.
No one wonders how accurate his many measures were after those pints 😊😊
Nice of your mates to show up when all of the work is done.😁
Great camera angles/shots as always. Have a great holiday Edd. Keep the vids coming :)
Happy Christmas Edd and all the best for 2023. I look forward to more of your videos next year.
Brilliant idea I'm animes you pulled it off with all the beer lined up with empty glasses well done take care stay safe 💕
Just wait until Paul sees this and realises he's missed out on you getting a round in 🍻 😁. Merry Christmas to all at Edd HQ, thanks for all the enjoyable content 👍👍.
Same to you!
A little white marine-tex will fix the hole in the arm. There is a Polar beer made in Venezuela
Thanks for the tips, I better get myself to Venezuela (or the internet if I can get it online)...
Great video as always Edd and team. Could you perhaps create an iceberg to house all the gubbins of the beer cooler and keg so it is more in keeping with the bear? Anyway, have a great Christmas and I look forward to your next video.
nice idea
Great idea, watch this space…
Awsome seeing a new video from you Edd, wish you and your family Merry Christmas and hope you and your family are healthy and well ✌
Wishing you and your family a very Merry Christmas Edd , enjoy yourself some of those polar beers mate 👍
Thanks, you too!
Great video Edd, to you and all the team have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Just amazing proyecto!! U always have the Best ideas edd ! :D
Different.! Looks like it went down well..!
Always great to see your show no matter what you guys actually do.
Brilliant video Edd love it ❤❤.
Brings back memories of my days and many more nights at Palmer Station, Antarctica. Polar Beer was our favorite Chilean; made from glacial waters.
“YEAH, BUT YOUR SCIENTISTS WERE SO PREOCCUPIED WITH WHETHER OR NOT THEY COULD THAT THEY DIDN’T STOP TO THINK IF THEY SHOULD.”
Looks great & the bear necessity for a workshop party
Bloody good idea for a different approach in a man cave, love it!
Great job Edd! Cheers! And Merry Christmas to you and yours!
Thanks, you too!
Brilliant! Applied science for something truly useful.
I do enjoy trying to learn from you always have mr china
The video I've always been waiting for
Well done Edd! 👍😁
Never a loss for wonderful ideas !!! Vwry COOL .... hahaha
Brilliant!
Thank you,👍 Happy holidays to thé whole team.🥳 ✌️
This is amazing!!!!
It's cool to see Edd improvise his way through a project :)
I feel this would've been a great marketing tool for Hoffmeister had it been brown with a yellow jacket.
My last thing to watch before going to sleep for the big day. Merry Christmas all who make Workshop Diaries a reality!
Really good to see Edd back doing serious stuff. Sort of. Seriously though, its good to see a bit more of the process and solution type stuff. Also one fully finished project in one video is a nice change, more of that would be cool.
Well done, Ed! Very "cool" project!
Set 'em up beartender.
That must be the longest advert I have ever seen.
Merry christmas to y'all!
This was fun to watch. The right angle tool is really good for tight places.
Super polar bear bar 😃👍
Merry Christmas 🎅 🎄
Fontastic, great job, cheers.
Thank you for your fontabulous support.
👏👏👏👏👏 Edd! I never doubt you on your work. Merry Christmas !!
10-4 good buddy. Back in the 1970's, when every house and car had a citizen band radio in it, my handle was "Polar Bear" So of course I had to watch this. Wish I had thought of it back then.
I'm glad to see you got your bear necessities in order. 🤷🏻♂️😁
Great video Edd! Beer and power tools, always a good combination 😄
Nice project and nice hang out place! Watch for splashes on the bear to keep it useable for some parties.
Happy Christmas Edd and team!
da bekomme ich Lust auf ein Bier , Super
Very clever Edd, another mission accomplished.
Brilliant Edd, absolutely brilliant. A decent work space like that needs a pinball machine next.
Happy Christmas Ed and the team, The beer looks nice.
Very refreshing, Happy Christmas to you too
All i have to say is Edward you da MAN !!!
Superb work once again Edd Merry Christmas to you all and I wish you continued success for 2023
Kako lep i zgodan musškarac.
Very nice Edd. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you and your Family/Crew./Paul/Phil
Nice job with the Björn, EDD! Wish everyone to you and your crew a merry christmas or God Jul as we says in Scandinavia (Sweden, Norway,Danmark)
You had me at "BAR".
When i saw this, i remembered another idea like "Bear Bikes" of minecraft; this channel is one of my favorites because there are many ideas and projects out of this world, something that can only come from the great Master "Edd China"
Great job and good bear beer!!!! Brasil loves!!!
Nice to see you again Edd’ last time we spoke was when I brought the 64 Vett off you’ way back.
I honestly thought the polar bear was gonna make like a bouncer and club them with the tap for nicking your pint...4 times over. Jokes aside, this goes to show the phrase 'Anything can be possible if you put your mind to it' is still relevant today. Now that's something I can drink to. Cheers 🍺.
Edd’s truly a master, and quite a lovely soul. Merry Christmas 🎄 big guy! *Good thing I got beer in the fridge! 🤣
Ceści Edd, I am writing to you because I have watched you and the fans of the four balls from the very beginning and I am from Poland and i loved those old episodes with you and you inspired me a lot and i wish i could be a mechanic
Reminds me of the time we put a beer tap in the dash of my friend's van. It was in the 70s.......different times.
Edd you can get two on that. 🍻 🍻
genio total Edd! feliz 2023!
nice one Edd made me wanting a pint now ... cheers man ...
Mmm that beer looks nice 👍👍
Confirmed Nutcase! 😆
You should have looked at using a keg for the bear to hold. Could have perhaps cut the keg or bear so that it would fit. Some smoke and mirrors. I think it could have looked rather comedic. But the tap ended up looking good too. Well done.
great year workshop
Auguri x un sereno Natale 🎅
Buen trabajo Edd.!!!!!!
Ingenious!
SO COOL!
Like what you did there! Ice Cool!
@@eddchina Thank you so much! You have taught me a lot! Merry Christmas! & Happy new year!
Wanting a beer all of a sudden.
Hello Edd👋, happy new year to you, may there always be only luck in your life👍🎅🎄🎁
I'm slightly disappointed that nobody stuck their head between Bjorn's arms to make it look like the paws were resting on their shoulders.
We missed a trick but I am too full-size!
There follows a tale of woe involving beer and bar skittles and beer. And ale. And more beer. And no skittles. When I was younger I worked in a pub as a barmaid, but not for long. I could do the mental arithmetic and smile and put a perfect head on a hand-pulled pint of Tetley's, but my extensive 'upper chestal area' ruined everything. At first I was good for business - we were actually poaching regulars from surrounding pubs - but then I became a talking point, then a laughing point, then a fighting point. Carloads of new lads arrived to get boozed up and boobed up. There were no pub quizzes, but I knew that every night was an unofficial 'Guess The Weight' contest. Ha ha, very funny. Nobody said it to my face, but it was obvious what was going on: in nearly 3 months I don't think more than one man in ten looked me in the eye when ordering a round. It was a freak-show. I wasn't in any danger, but the change in atmosphere was horrible. (24 lbs, by the way. I hate gravity.) It was a beautiful, proper, traditional Yorkshire country pub - a converted 16th century farmhouse with pewter tankards, horse brasses, open fires, quaint subsidence, a snug, the alleged ghost of an allegedly murdered friar, and a huge tubby tabby cat called Yerbastid - and my bosom spoiled it. The regulars thought that I was all right, but they hated the disruption - a quiet pint is a bl**dy quiet pint, tha knows - and the boss (a lovely guy) eventually suggested that I leave.😞 Now, maybe if I'd had a decent polar bear costume to wear -
A tail of woe indeed.
Brilliant. You just have to admire the mind that wonders if you can make a bar out of a polar bear....and then goes and makes it!😄 Happy Christmas to you and the crew and here's to goodness knows what's to come in the workshop for 2023.
Fun project 🐻❄️🍹🍸
It makes a change for Edd to be looking up at something taller than him.. Probably have a bash at the bottom filling glasses (magnet as a valve in the bottom) . How about using a car engine as a genrator as they keep threatening power cuts (fear factor) but would be good to have a backup..just in case. Cheers Edd
