This really is my got to keyboard these days for a number of reasons and one of those is the Kailh Box White switches, they are clicky but lightweight, you know you have registered a keypress instinctively and accurately, I am no touch typist but it is definitely the keyboard that gives me the most accurate results when typing and i find FPS games like CSGO more more accurate with the smaller precise movements when crouching and strafing.
Also the fact it is MSI and ties in nicely with the MSI mystic light ecosystem means not only is my typing on point my lighting is also in sync and bright as hell!
The hexagonal keycaps are also a very nice touch and although they don't have any specific use, the look is unique and stylish and the deep concave dish means your fingers seat themselves nicely and prevents that roll over or slipping into the next key.
If you like your keyboards compact but full size and bright and vivid this might be worth taking a look at, for me it is easily my favourite keyboard, well until i try the new MSI Sonic 😎

it is a really nice keyboard in my opinion, i think the only one that might sway me is the new gk71 sonic if they ever do a uk version
@@mikesunboxing I like the keycap half and half style on the GK71 and also the inclusion of a jog wheel and keys for media is a bonus. Let's hope a Uk version is in the pipeline.

Quality keyboard and versatile. Personally use a seenda low profile which is okay for my limited useage but I do wonder if mechanical keyboards are better for gameplay. Thanks for reviewing Mike and Kath👍

It's refreshing to see a manufacturer moving from usual cherry MX switches towards more enthusiast switches. Kailh box White/Navy/Jade (from the lightest - heaviest) are basically one of the go to choices for the gigachad clicky user in enthusiast custom keyboard market. They are different from the usual cherry mx style using click jacket, this one using a click bars, A literally a bar of metal inside the switches to produce the click. So it will produce more cleaner and louder sound, also it will make the sound twice (one when going down on the press and one going up after pressing). I hope the bigger manufacturer soon catches up to the quality to the enthusiast keyboard market in the budget category. Since enthusiast market now are starting to get cheaper.
Nice video thanks. It's definitely clicky. Thought I wouldn't enjoy typing on it but it's very smooth and responsive. Won it in a giveaway so I can't complain haha. I do love it!

My favorite budget boards at the min are the Magic Refiner MK25 and Moto Speed GK82 i use the Refiner for Gaming and GK for editing i thought it was just me who uses multiple Board s lol

This keyboard looks and sounds and performs like it should.....amazing ! White switches too....very nice indeed. i am using it now on my msi themed pc and although loud as heck, it really suits my typing style and the tactile feedback is really helpful. it does get a little fatiguing after a long time, i would like a version with maybe 25 grams of force with a 30g bump, i think that would make a difference and stop my fingers looking like Arnie's weiner
May i suggest PC75B Plus from akko. Bit more expensive. But it do feels amazing

I already have this one mine is kaihl blue... And its phenomenal.. my combi lights is red the top keys and num keys then green the letters and others.. you can actually combine multiple colors in your light using dragon center customize keys...
i bet those are very clicky! can't wait to try the GK71 sonic when they do a uk version
Nice, comprehensive review. Thank you. I want an RGB keyboard mostly for typing but don't want to spend £100 +. This seems good value and attractive. Clicky keys appeal to me and fact this has more robust switches is another positive. Razer Black Widow was my last mech KB but the A key failed when wine was spilled on it and I've botched the soldering repair so it will go on eBay for someone to cannibalise. Keen not to have another Razer with same vulnerability to liquid. This looks like a sensible replacement with more robust Kailh white box switches. Thanks for being definite in your opinion rather than saying "it's OK ish". Good to have a *clear* opinion 👏

I remember seeing this keyboard being sold for like 70 or 80 euros but the price been cut down, I got this for 60 euros new not long ago, I absolutely love it… despite preferring red switches the box whites are my new favorites
yes it is often on sale, are a bargain on used sites like ebay etc. personally i would like a quieter switch but overall i love it also

I have the MSI Vigor GK50Z (not the elite) and my MSI center doesn't recognize it. 😡
might need to go back to dragon center, my GH50 headset wasn't seen by msi center but works fine in dragon center
Hi, Mike. Another lovely and well crafted review, as always. However, no media keys or volume wheel? No USB or Audio passthroughs? I'll stay with Razer, thank you. I generally like MSI products, and I'm sure this is a great keyboard for gaming. But, as a professional writer who is extremely picky about the keyboard she will be typing eight to ten hours per day on... No. Cheers!

Looks good. Has anyone here been using this keyboard for a while? How does it hold up in the long term? My Corsair K70 keys started falling to bits after a year or so and several are broken now so don't sit on their switches very securely. Also had some LEDs stop working so I'm now a bit wary about spending another chunk of cash on a "premium" keyboard.
it still is used daily and it rock solid, no dodgy keys or stems, even the cat like sleeping on it and it gets roughly vacuumed daily and still no damage from the cat or me vacuuming

That's a nice keyboard. But it's just a tad too flashy for my tastes. My Keyboard is the Logitech K845 Mechanical Illuminated Keyboard. About the same size, just 5 backlight patterns, and your choice of any light color you could want as long as it's White. Why would I use it you ask? (Well you didn't, but I'm telling anyway) Because not liking the gamer key cap font, I use my own set of non backlit Normal style key caps, so all the flash would be lost anyway. But you know, I could get a dozen, array them in a large rectangle, put them into full Flashing RGB mode, and send messages to the ISS orbiting overhead. 😺

that looks good, i was looking yesterday at options in the UK, looks like £75 with the box chocolate switches is all there is at the moment which might be a bit too clicky for me

it is fecking bright, but i really like the switches, a little less force would improve them for me personally, the MSI sonic switches might just do that, we will see
