20 whopper ploppers all tied together to create this crazy but effective lure. today were kayak fishing the Mississippi River in search of giant fish using the craziest lure I have ever seen!

I got a lot of people asking about my gear, All gear used in today's video is linked in the description, check it out!
I was thinking the same. try to reel in a bit shower. I mean in my case fishing is the most relaxing thing I know of. I never reel too fast as I just chill out. But maybe this method is good for this place?
People here from the KZhead short👇
I was! Have a good day 😊
This is a bad idea wink wink

Guy selling the rig: How many lures do you want on your rod? NASPELTZ: yes

The story at the end. Damn man that’s perseverance! I wouldn’t have finished the vid if all that happened to me. Good job bro and keep grinding. You deserve success
Hey thanks so much that means a lot, the end of the day was just one problem after another. Ended up actually being 3 days if you can’t tell my the change in cloths in the video, It took me 4 hours of driving around to find a store that has a trolling motor, most had switched to all ice fishing stuff, by the time I got back it was dark so I went back the next morning fished all day without a bite on the giant rig and came back day three to finish off the video. Lots of work and driving, but hey I caught a fish and that makes me happy so that’s all that matters
@@NASPELTZ story of my life I strictly throw 2 to 16 oz swimbaits my bites I work hard for I truly know the payoff of the grind Tight Lines Brother!!! Cheers!! :))
Hey Gary thanks so much, ya it’s defiantly a grind but once you catch one it’s always worth it, I’ve learned quality of quantity is defintly the way to go for most fish, but for fish like musky, ya a big one is always the goal but even the small ones brighten up my day
Not to be rude but should you reel a little bit slower? And twitch it over the top
YES
agree
No, these are whopper ploppers. Look them up and understand the action.
@@niignastiiYou wouldn’t belive how many fish i have caught by pausing and popping my whopper plopper
@@aring4962 i would but jerking a plopper vs reeling it slowly so that the action doesnt work is 2 very different things
imagine getting a backlash and loosing 200 dollars
That’s something that would happen to me 10 times over
They float
😂😂40$ in Temu lures and a rigs
Couldn’t be me
Imagine casting into a tree you can’t climb, time to get the ladder boys 🤣
That tiger pattern Amazon whopper plopper is literally my favorite lite on the planet. I have caught more fish with that lure than anything else. And I’d definitely target some stripers with that lure!
Man that was wild! Awesome video brother, creative and an effective bait!
That's the real Alabama Rig
Last one: they drone cast footage is dope, my man! 🤙🤙🤙
So you’re saying you have 20 whopper poppers, and only one hook on? you’re playing fish roulette 😂
Wow I would’ve thought all extra hooks would’ve snagged over his body on the way in and all over your net, but the fish looks happy and healthy before release, congrats on the nice catch bub!
Considering all the expenditures you confess at the end of the clip, there is no doubt that the fishing industry is the fishing winner here. Only you were the FISH!
I reckon i coulda caught more hogs on 20 pieces of bacon.
That is an absolute monstrosity and I am here for it😂
Yesss 😂😂😂
😂 😂 that lure is MADNESS my guy! Epic backwater fishing forsure!
Yessir this thing is so cool
This thing is nuts 😂
The fish jumping back in the water and him saying ok bye now is just hilarious
I love the river smallies on the whopper plopper. So much fun
I think its creates so much drag and movement that it imitates a large fish or a Alligator
I catch a northern on it. They sometimes even hit twice if they miss their first strike, so they would have a better chance of getting hooked. Great video
No way you catching northerns on that buddy after 2-3 hits a pike would have that thing destroyed
I’ve caught plenty of pike on wapper plopers
Awesome video i magnet fish and lure hunt ive got couple of a rigs snd ive found a ton of whopper poppers ive often Wondered about doing this thanks for posting this i may try this if it's legal in this state lol
Hey Nathan! Great work, appreciate your videos man! What’s your favorite bass lure too??
Hey thanks for asking. My favorite bass lure changes a lot, but if I had to pick one I’d pick a topwater spook since I can work it a lot of different ways, or a glide bait for the same reason. Both awesome lures for trying to catch big bass. How about you, what is yours?
@@NASPELTZnot the commenter but mine is the YUM and Berkeley worms lures. Mainly green-white. Catches me a lot of fish
That is a crazy set up! I may need to try it on large mouth bass.
Those drone shots are amazing
Hey thanks so much
I would fish this lure for pike and large mouth bass. Congrats on 80000 subscribers 🎉🎉🎉
Thanks so much
Damn, he's at 91k 3 weeks later
Imagine catching a little pumpkin seed on every single Luer😂😂😂
I have had those days many many a time but as you said Im Blessed to be fishin Love The Grind!!!! Cheers!! :))
New Subscriber! That whopper Plopper A-Rig was awesome. Id love to see some food chain challenge, small to bigger and bigger
I would love to make something like that. Maybe a short form video
@@NASPELTZ I’m way out in California but that whopper Plopper was something else. If I don’t win the giveaway I’ll have to make one and try it haha Thanks for the content. Yeah, that is a good idea.
I would fish for Large mouth bass with this lure. My previous A-Rig snapped off mid cast after around the first ten minutes of the trip. 😅
I want to target, largemouth and smallmouth bass at one of my favorite spots. Also, love your videos so fun to watch
smallie boyyyyzzzz .live in hudson and the croix is a small jaw mecca dude ..thanks for these videos and look forward to maybe winning the a rig lol
Bro, I definitely suggest doing this like on the sea because in the lake it’s not gonna work because they’re all like you know brown colored or like you know natural colors they’re not gonna go after something that’s brightly colored. That looks like it’s from the ocean. see if you were doing this in the ocean this would be a completely different story. You would have fish immediately drawn to it, but since you’re in a more royal area where the fish are kind of like looking like colors of wood, I would definitely suggest using a lure that has less color in it or confused 11:18
What hooks are on it ? Get some loop or round hooks and they set themselves on bite
Im gonna go for some Idaho smallies with that bad boy. Great video!
I would want to try and catch a striped bass or a massive largemouth I love your vids when I watch your videos it makes me so happy when you catch something
Been waiting for this video
For a while I felt like Jef Goldblum in Jurassic Park, "There are going to be fish on this tour, right?" In any case, you earned a subscriber! Good work kid!
Hey thanks so much James, I’m glad you bored and I’m happy I was able to catch a fish. It was a little difficult with only one hook on the bait but I managed to make it work
man it would be pretty fun to use this lure might take off the ploppers and put like swimbaits on and aim for some pike and bass before the winter comes and maybe go for some snook in flordia using thisother than that nice video man!
That’s a good idea, I bet it would work awesome
My thoughts: “Don’t hit the tree” Don’t hit the tree” -200$
Every time he got close to the trees my butt cheeks clenched. It’s like watching a fishing horror movie.
Saw your short and had to immediately come to watch the whole video
Did only one of those whopper plopped have hooks on it? It’d be used for smallmouth bass for me!
Bro thats CRAZY 😂👏
Yesss 😂😂
Can i know your fishing setup? Like what's rod and reel did you use?
The over view is amazing 🤞🔥
Hey thanks so much
Glad you liked those shots, they were fun to film
When Naspeltz uploads, it's a good day. At least I thought that until I saw that monstrosity of a lure arrangement😂
😂😂😂 hey man I had an idea and I made it a reality
@@NASPELTZ Just do it! Don't let your dreams be dreams 🤣 I'm curious why you only had one treble hook? Most jerkbaits have 2 or 3 trebles. Could you not have run 2 or 3 with hooks in the back?
@TimHaunFishing legally no, because the lures are separated, you can only have one with hooks
@TimHaunFishing wait I just now realized I am on the mississippi river so It’s different regs than Minnesota. Yes I could have had more with hooks. Can’t believe I didn’t think about that
@@NASPELTZ welp! Time to run it back!
I'd fish for some big smallies right below my house I've been wanting to try the wopper plopper out for a while now but I just can't afford them right now so It'd be awesome if I won them plus I'm trying to get away from fishing with live bait but my confidence isn't really high right now in lures because I've just started trying to fish with them but it's getting better. Anyway great content brother. God bless stay safe out there on the water
Looking for the Largemouth topwater blow up with this lure. Love it.
There’s a spot out by my house where the baitfish jump at 3-6 everyday and the stripped bass go crazy for it!!! I’d throw on some white shad lookingm plops or spin baits for them😎
What type of fish will you target?
I like bass fishing
I like large mouths best but I'll do any fishing, I would love if I one and hot to try it out
I like to target bass, it's nice to fish for them because they'll eat pretty much anything lol. I live right on the Ottawa River too so I have a lot of spots too lol. Occasionally I target pike - I'm actually fishing on a Pike and bass Lake tomorrow. We'll see what I catch!
I been waiting for this let’s go
I just started fishing and I wanted to know what is the best thing to use the catch largemouth bass
I like topwater but most guys will just throw a plastic worm and do very well
If I got the Luer, I would feel so happy and the species I would go for would probably be bass 14:29 since I’ve never caught one or really anything that is going to bite. Also love the vids❤❤❤
Hey man I’m new to your channel great videos and I hope you get to 100k subs
Getting snagged all day 😂😂😂
Can you do a video of step by step of how to do this I want to try it my self! Thank you!
Bro makes it look so easy
What if you put a string or line on one and make it hang back and look like that one is injuried
I don't know about 'aggressive' but, you should come to Australia and try Barra (Barramundi) fishing 👍
Always fishing for small or large mouth!! Nothing beats topwater fishing!!
Oh ya
“It takes one snag💀”
Is it a fishing lure or a castable boat anchor??
I would fish this lure for large mouth bass. Congrats on 80K sub 🎉
Very interestingvideo haha! I'll need to try this!
You definitely do
Do one of those but with the cheap white grub things
I would probably use it for tiger bass and largemouth possibly some pike and musky.
I am going to fish for Peacock Bass because I have never caught one. I have only caught larges, smalls, and Rockies.
Dude I love your vids ur such a cool dude
Hey thanks so much Dalton
The wake that thing makes might as well be a dolphin swimming.
Guy is the bob Ross of fishing oml
If this is Minnesota, is there only one lure with hooks? Looks more like a DNR lure than a fish lure…😊
Only one hook, I talked about it in the video
Nice fish
Always an awesome video
Your the best
I would use this for bass and I’ve always wanted onr
If bro snaps it off he loses half a pay check lol😂
I know right, that’s why I was rocking my musky setup with 100 pound test 😂😂
That’s what I would do 😆
I could listen to your voice as asmr to go to sleep ngl
It will work beautifully with only 3 lures with 6 inches space in between
I would try it out at my favorite ‘honey hole’ for large mouth bass. 👍
I would definitely fish it for largemouth and stripe but also if I get a chance to fish for musky I would also fish for musky
OMG I need to try one of these!
Slow that thing down just a fraction and a lot of those misses will hopefully decrease.
How much pounds of a weight would you need to sink it? What do you think? I think around 12lb
Make sure you take the hooks off if you end up hanging it up for the baby lol
I always get a birds nest with my bait caster especially with heavy lures
If I drove all the way home and came back to a fishing spot it would be dark outside
Im lost a bit thou , Ur reeling soon as it drops 🤔
Bible verse of the day: For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength, Philippians 4:13
Amazing video, keep it up!
Awesome
Get a bass
Go after bass and striper bass
I have a Philippians 4:13 wristband
The fish didn't take the bait The bait took the fish 😂
That’s pretty cool
I would use that bait for aggressive muskie and northerns
Most positive man on youtube
It’s hard not to be positive when your in the beautiful outdoors doing what you love :)
Was first fish a pike or pickarell
I’d love to get a grinnell to explode on that! They love top water!
I'd just fish for whatever's biting.. maybe take it on my BWCA trip next year.
That would be awesome
The sound 😍😍😍
How is it not raining where are you in mn😂
Ima target pike coz i live near a pike canal infested with pike and that is all there is in here so… Anyways love your vids and i would love to see you fish with a 36 cm pike lure that would be fun 🤩!
I can only imagine a Tarpon busting a school of fleeing bait!! I'd try it.
I feel like it’s just so heavy that everytime you reel in, your kayak goes faster and faster
True true
@@NASPELTZpls im going too fish bass with the lure😊
its like I will throw and the fish will choose itself
Yeah, you should definitely slow your retrieve then pop and pause, pop and pause
Definitely going to use that at Leesville lake for Muskie!! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
You'll get more fun and more fish just throwing a single plopper 190 or a savage duck. Fishing for ski is tiring enough without throwing a 4# cartoon rig.
