  • So, I noticed something odd about your videos, ND; when watching your vids, I get a feeling of calm relaxation that I myself do not achieve when I am out on the water...your "zen-ness" is just awesome. As others have said, there's no obnoxious music or forced emotions; you're just a guy in a kayak enjoying a day doing what you love! Maybe I'm too invested in myself when fishing vs. watching someone else, but DAMN are you great to watch! Thanks for the videos and advice! I hope to one day get up to the Boundary Waters for a 7-10 day kayaking trip and land me some of those Pike they're famous for. FISH ON!!!

  • I've had other BPM baits kzhead.infoUgkxCbNOWAGmn6nfbCbJDmasvBq7J38KZNw2 before and they've pretty much always came through for me with the suskie smallies here and even with the walleye and pike, but I realized I didn't have an "in-between" pattern so this junebug one fills that role in no problem. it pairs up magnificently with a junebug Zoom Z-craw Jr that was trimmed a couple millimeters before the hook slots and rigged sideways for that fatter panfish side profile while still being a nice'n'compact presentation, a real power-finesse bait. Hell, it was so pretty I even bothered to fotosketch the pic into a watercolor painting image just to show you it's beauty! Even the blades are really well made, sure, they're not of Hildebrandt-level exquisiteness but look at the bead's reflection on the colorado blade, definitely well-made! The only "problem" spot it had was a bald spot in the skirt but it was nothing that I couldn't easily fix with a but of tuggin'n'shiftin' with the strands for a couple of seconds, besides that it is pretty minty!

  • Gosh, this makes me miss the central and north central Midwest. I’m 64 originally from Kansas and moved to south Texas Hill Country. Lots of wildlife, but 100 degrees like everyday June - October. Not many “lazy” rivers around here either. They dry up fast. Great Channel.

  • I call you the "Bob Ross of KZhead anglers". You calmly say "That's exciting", when snagging these monsters, and I would be having heart failure! Very entertaining and informative videos. I don't have these monsters near me in Oregon, but I'm going to try the whopper plopper for smallies this year.

  • This is my new fishing channel. That looked like a lot of fun. The weather was nice. A couple of decent pike. Solitude. What more could you ask for? Excellent. Thank you.

  • Nice chat and very entertaining in a beautiful spot. This guy sure knows what he's doing, and he's an excellent caster. Being a Brit, I'm obviously familiar with pike and carp, but I've never heard of a muskey so will now check it out.

  • Even if you didn’t catch a thing, where you launched was a great way to spend a day. Beautiful sunny day birds singing, water was calm. You can’t beat a day like that on the water.

  • 1st time viewer. Pike and Muskie fishing here in central Ontario is the best kind of fishing but never tried a rat. We use sppinner baits (casting), 8"to12" rapala lures (trolling), and large 8" sucker minnows (live). Come on up some time and give it a go. Cheers 🇨🇦.
