So much was going on at this waterhole! Hippo playing with a crocodile. Then this tiny newborn elephant and its mum seemingly rejected by their herd. However, this video focuses on what happens when this tiny calf slips into the waterhole.
Mum almost leaves. Then becomes protective against the hippos. Not to forget the slip and sliding this tiny one does before finally getting out.

  • All of the mamas seem quiet around the little ones. I read yesterday that when the female and baby herd walks, their pace is as fast as that of the smallest baby! They are such awesome mothers! We should take more example from them. Patience and unconditional love, and more patience.

    • yes, yes, yes, we should learn a whole lot more from these awesome animals they are so intelligent so big but ive never seen more gentle sweet creatures and they are the very best mothers, they along with aunties and grandmothers they all take it to raise the little ones, we humans leave our babies to the mother alone and no one can raise a baby alone without absolutely be so tired and some cant take it, we should definitely learn from them how to raise babies for sure

    • Yes, a mother’s love is awesome. However, since 1973, 70 million of the most innocent among us have been murdered by abortion. The manner of deaths is always grisly. Most of these women say that they were coerced into this “ solution.” I wish that we could all learn from the elephant mothers. Most animal mothers will do anything to save their children. In fact, mama tigers are known to be ferocious big cats. Most animals have no desire to provoke a tiger mom.

  • What's with the laughing ? 🤔 I personally don't see anything FUNNY about a baby 🐘 in a dangerous situation ! 😲

    • Elle Woods, I agree 100%. Humans laughing at a baby in a dangerous situation with mother surrounded by hippos, it is not funny. I comment all the time about laughing and giggling at zoos and in the wild. IT IS NOT FUNNY and it is DISRESPECTING elephants. Please, please STOP laughing.

    • Some people have no respect for animals. What these people forget is people are animals too. People don't like being laughed at so respect other species.

  • I am surprised the hippos didn't attack that baby elephant because they can be very aggressive and mean . I am too happy the baby got out if that water with those hippos around and mama taught those hippos to back off from her baby wow ! Baby elephants so cute yet fragile they need the herd for protection

  • I've seen baby elephants make it out of more serious situations and plus as long as the mother is close the calf will be protected and safe. The hippos don't stand a chance against an adult elephant . Almost anything baby related is adorable and cute, there general newborn unbalanced movements are funny. why is everyone giving so much hate on another persons laughter??

  • And this is why elephants need their tusks - never saw them used like this before!

    @lela2a@lela2a5 жыл бұрын
    • Yep - they can also use their legs to stomp on other animals and of course that deafening roar they make scares many animals off. But tusks are their last defense especially in the water
