This is what one of my GSD’s does this. She patrols the house, and watches over our garden. During garden season, she keeps out everything but birds and insects. 😊But she is most protective in the house. She often lays down outside of our bedroom door, and guards the hallway.

Your Judge looks so much like my Ferdinand. We lost him to camcer almost 2 years ago next month. Baseball sized splenatic tumor. He was 9 almost 10 years. He was an American Mastiff so 3/4 English Mastiff & 1/4 Anatolian Shepherd. He was my heart dog and I was his everything. He thought he was a 5# lap dog! He was the runt pf his liter and still weighted 180#. I love watching Judge as he works it makes me smile.

I absolutely trust my dog and my cats, when they get out of the routine it's time to be extra careful. Not once walking with my dog we avoided rowdy people and aggressive dogs just by her perking up her ears and looking attentively to a specific direction, I always understood is high time to retreat and go opposite way, and quickly, she saved us more times that I can count

Very , very, fascinating & interesting, to say the least. He is extremely thorough & vigilant , to a large & instinctual degree... that far outweighs the sensibilities of just any canine. These behaviours , sensitivities & reactions ,he exhibits, to any changes or disturbances, no matter how subtle they may be , in his assigned surroundings, are very specialized & are a result of highly selective breeding, over a period of thousands of years, by shepherds, farmers , livestock breeders & herders.

This has happened with my dogs before they may wonder and stare at what seems to be nothing, when they do this they usually sense some sort of anomaly, a little superstition part here but it’s a possibility that he senses a ghost or spirit and he is following it

The cameras make a sound when they move, the owner has confirmed the dogs look at the cameras sometimes
I think they can hear them sometimes and see the red light that goes on when the motion detection is triggered

Your Judge looks so much like my Ferdinand. We lost him to camcer almost 2 years ago next month. Baseball sized splenatic tumor. He was 9 almost 10 years. He was an American Mastiff so 3/4 English Mastiff & 1/4 Anatolian Shepherd. He was my heart dog and I was his everything. He thought he was a 5# lap dog! He was the runt pf his liter and still weighted 180#. I love watching Judge as he works it makes me smile.

I absolutely trust my dog and my cats, when they get out of the routine it's time to be extra careful. Not once walking with my dog we avoided rowdy people and aggressive dogs just by her perking up her ears and looking attentively to a specific direction, I always understood is high time to retreat and go opposite way, and quickly, she saved us more times that I can count
I thank God on a regular 4 dogs and for cats. How would our world be without those two animals? I think God created dogs and cats and horses for very special "help-meet" purposes for humans. We would definitely not be anywhere near where we are without those three

When I worked at the Zoo the things that spooked the animals were always mice!
Mice brought the bubonic plague so I don't blame them.
Watching them work is amazing they are so diligent working animals are the best they want to please there owner and do all they can to protect there charge animals are the best 👌 great job

I have a question about the recon cat. Is she usually outside as a second call for the dogs, or is she used for pests
from what i know farm/barn cats are usually used for mostly pest control, but im sure in some scenarios they could serve as another warning to the dogs
She does it all! She does recon and is an excellent barn mouser.

Background noise was spooky but you can see Judge heard the wee bird in the rafters who you can hear chirp four times. He dismissed it; were it a predator you would've seen him come to life! He's ON it, never missing a trick thank God! Valiant, competent protector! ❤

These behaviours , sensitivities & reactions ,he exhibits, to any changes or disturbances, no matter how subtle they may be , in his assigned surroundings, are very specialized & are a result of highly selective breeding, over a period of thousands of years, by shepherds, farmers , livestock breeders & herders.

They often take turns napping throughout the day. One will sleep while the other two keep watch. But even thought they're sleeping they're up like cannon-shot if an alarm is sounded! Truly amazing Guardians! ❤

This has happened with my dogs before they may wonder and stare at what seems to be nothing, when they do this they usually sense some sort of anomaly, a little superstition part here but it’s a possibility that he senses a ghost or spirit and he is following it

Well, I have been watching long enough to know there could have been a bird in there and Judge could have been just making sure it was and not just assuming. He is such a smart guy! I love your dogs! Wish they could teach my dogs a few things!
