A quick and easy method to farm samples and you should be able to max out several ship modules this way, try this for yourself :)

  • Sample totals like '31/30' occur because the '30' is the total visible from orbit. The samples obtained from containers are unaccounted for (can't be seen), which is why you end up with numbers like 31/30.

  • I believe the reason you get 31/30 is because 30 is the number of naturally spawned samples, and extras are random rewards from the beacon and grenade door PoIs

  • The reason that this is a thing isn't because of the size of the map. There is essentially the same amount of samples in a search and destroy too which is also a small map.

  • Also big tip for everyone. Spore spewers (The giant towers that you have to destroy as a side obj) tend to have anywhere around 2-6 maybe even 8 samples around it. Usually I play on 7 difficulty and find a good bit whenever I check it out, and I never see anyone talking about it since you can destroy it from a distance and not have to think or worry about it anymore.

  • they really should give us an option to turn on/off auto-climb. those who are fine with it can leave it on, those who run solo and get murdered due to auto-climb can turn it off and have a separate keybind to climb instead. win-win
