6:34 correction: after the 2 teammates cancelled last second, the event organaizer looked for a replacement, and when techno offered to join, because techno calvin and nestor were so good already, they decided that techno would count as 2 players to balance it out

Aside from being really good at video games, Techno was part of the Hypixel player council, which is why he knows so much about breaking and exploiting minecraft minigames, finding exploits was literally part of the job

I don't think a lot of people really understand how much impact Technoblade had on the Minecraft community. personally, I stopped watching Minecraft tournaments after he passed away. it just feels different Technoblade never dies!

Funnily enough this is the exact reason Hypixle make Techno a play tester for their games! He was so good at finding work around and ways to use the game against itself that they just let him test the games to find these broken strats before the game got released

I loved and miss techno a lot. It makes me sad how honestly toxic a lot of these events were towards him specifically. Like, of course theyre not going to just *not* invite him back- he pulled far too many views. But skewing the odds so fsr against his favor was actually really messed up.

At the very least, the Bingo, Hole in the Wall, and Build Mart changes are all completely understandable. While the ways Techno played those events before they were changed were all hilarious and amazing to watch, those strategies did fly in the face of the point of those minigames.

@dullahaut329 yes I agree. Those definitely should have been implemented and thought about before the events, but that's neither here nor there. I mostly mean handicapping him by giving him a teammate that basically actively sabotaged him, and also changing how games worked (the best example being the tnt rn) that ended up making the games nearly completely rng based instead of skill based

I think it was way better if it was done like with the charity tournament where it was clearly said, the team with techno has a numbers disadvantage and why. If McM was clearer about changes made, it would've probably been okay. He was a beast in basically any pvp sorta game mode so it made sense. or hell, maybe try to make him play with different rules/challenges that awards him specifically, for example him having to only use a fist in gamemodes with sky for extra points or something, playing tnt run with a slowness effect...

Honestly MCC changed things tastefully, without specifically targeting Techno, they just changed games so they worked as intended. Techno was just too smart for the original versions, he always found a way to beat games in unintended ways.

I never really was into Minecraft YT, but I also never missed a Techoblade upload. His streams were an absolute joy to watch. His tournaments were like watching a veteran playing with one arm tied behind his back and still winning in most cases. Technoblade never died!

This is a really nice video. Thank you for making it! If memory serves me correctly, another thing they did on MCMondays to nerf Techno was the minigames. Starting I think week 3 or 4 they added them in cause Techno kept winning HG. The funny part was that Techno was better at those minigames than at HG so he kept winning anyway

Technoblade is like a character in a fighting game who was just too OP so God had to keep nerfing him, but people just bypassed the patches anyway. He has created a scenario which we may just never get to witness again, and I am so glad to have been around since he was in the 10s of thousands of subscribers until the day he joined Minecraft Monday and the whole world got to see who he was. my favorite part about the mc ultimate one is that (iirc) the previous record for most kills was 19, meaning that each player on the team beat the previous record by themselves by a significant amount (nestor by 10, calvin by 21, and techno by 28) and raised almost a third of the total charity funds of the entire event. also, since there was 220 players total, and each could revive once in the event, if every single person was able to finish the parkour and revive, then their 116 kills would total to being just over a fourth of every single kill in the event. truely an unmatched team that absolutely dominated the event

Sometimes it feels like I started watching his videos too late, but this is making me realize how much I was there for. I vividly remember watching multiple Minecraft Championships as well as Minecraft Ultimate live. It still makes me sad thinking about it and I haven't really watched any minecraft since, but I'm slowly feeling ready to rewatch some of his videos again. I think the thing that will always hurt the most is that by next April (2024), I'll be older than him. But even then, because of this community, Technoblade never dies and I think that is the greatest thing to remember. Thank you for this video!

My favorite part of Techno is I saw him years ago in a hunt map where he got a wood skin so he would blend into a tree. Loved it and then much later saw potato wars and loved it. 6:34 correction: after the 2 teammates cancelled last second, the event organaizer looked for a replacement, and when techno offered to join, because techno calvin and nestor were so good already, they decided that techno would count as 2 players to balance it out

Aside from being really good at video games, Techno was part of the Hypixel player council, which is why he knows so much about breaking and exploiting minecraft minigames, finding exploits was literally part of the job

his interactions with famous people are the best. the fact that he was able to leave such a deep impression on people like the mrbeast crew and others like jschlatt and tommyinnit will forever make me proud to be part of the fanbase

Funnily enough this is the exact reason Hypixle make Techno a play tester for their games! He was so good at finding work around and ways to use the game against itself that they just let him test the games to find these broken strats before the game got released

I loved and miss techno a lot. It makes me sad how honestly toxic a lot of these events were towards him specifically. Like, of course theyre not going to just *not* invite him back- he pulled far too many views. But skewing the odds so fsr against his favor was actually really messed up.
At the very least, the Bingo, Hole in the Wall, and Build Mart changes are all completely understandable. While the ways Techno played those events before they were changed were all hilarious and amazing to watch, those strategies did fly in the face of the point of those minigames.
@dullahaut329 yes I agree. Those definitely should have been implemented and thought about before the events, but that's neither here nor there. I mostly mean handicapping him by giving him a teammate that basically actively sabotaged him, and also changing how games worked (the best example being the tnt rn) that ended up making the games nearly completely rng based instead of skill based

I think it was way better if it was done like with the charity tournament where it was clearly said, the team with techno has a numbers disadvantage and why. If McM was clearer about changes made, it would've probably been okay. He was a beast in basically any pvp sorta game mode so it made sense. or hell, maybe try to make him play with different rules/challenges that awards him specifically, for example him having to only use a fist in gamemodes with sky for extra points or something, playing tnt run with a slowness effect...
Genuinly made me so happy. I love Tachno, and now I have a list of most of the cool things he did so I can actually remember him when ranting about him

Could have put in how techno, in the MC Ultimate survival games, they had like a third of all the kills in the game, and had the remaining 30ish players band against them to kill them, AND THEY STILL WON!
and the fact that they had like, 110 kills or something (at the very least over 100), breaking the previous record of team kills for the event, which was 19
Honestly MCC changed things tastefully, without specifically targeting Techno, they just changed games so they worked as intended. Techno was just too smart for the original versions, he always found a way to beat games in unintended ways.
I never really was into Minecraft YT, but I also never missed a Techoblade upload. His streams were an absolute joy to watch. His tournaments were like watching a veteran playing with one arm tied behind his back and still winning in most cases. Technoblade never died!
The honorable mentions at the end were so amazing, I love the subtle Techno references that the game makers made.

This is a really nice video. Thank you for making it! If memory serves me correctly, another thing they did on MCMondays to nerf Techno was the minigames. Starting I think week 3 or 4 they added them in cause Techno kept winning HG. The funny part was that Techno was better at those minigames than at HG so he kept winning anyway

It just highlights how a lot of youtubers skills are only talking and hiring an editor. When a gamer actually games they make everyone else look like complete fools. And when a goated gamer like techno comes along, it's a god amongst men.
Technoblade is like a character in a fighting game who was just too OP so God had to keep nerfing him, but people just bypassed the patches anyway. He has created a scenario which we may just never get to witness again, and I am so glad to have been around since he was in the 10s of thousands of subscribers until the day he joined Minecraft Monday and the whole world got to see who he was. Rest in peace, Techno the Pig.

Techno's tournament POVs were my favorite bits of Technocontent. For a lot of people it's Dsmp or The Potato War but this is where he shines the most, for both skill and commentary
I remember watching ~6:30's real stream in real time nd hearing him say sumn like "my goals is 40 kills" and I remember squealing with happiness when he got to 40
Technoblade: "I'll just be better then the people in creative." The fact that he killed over 20% of the players in the MCU tournament shows how good Technoblade was.
my favorite part about the mc ultimate one is that (iirc) the previous record for most kills was 19, meaning that each player on the team beat the previous record by themselves by a significant amount (nestor by 10, calvin by 21, and techno by 28) and raised almost a third of the total charity funds of the entire event. also, since there was 220 players total, and each could revive once in the event, if every single person was able to finish the parkour and revive, then their 116 kills would total to being just over a fourth of every single kill in the event. truely an unmatched team that absolutely dominated the event
I love that in mc ultimate the way they nerf techno is to team him up with 2 players instead of 3 And those players end up to be one of the greatest 1.8 pvpers in Minecraft history with one of them teaching dream

Sometimes it feels like I started watching his videos too late, but this is making me realize how much I was there for. I vividly remember watching multiple Minecraft Championships as well as Minecraft Ultimate live. It still makes me sad thinking about it and I haven't really watched any minecraft since, but I'm slowly feeling ready to rewatch some of his videos again. I think the thing that will always hurt the most is that by next April (2024), I'll be older than him. But even then, because of this community, Technoblade never dies and I think that is the greatest thing to remember. Thank you for this video!

My favorite part of Techno is I saw him years ago in a hunt map where he got a wood skin so he would blend into a tree. Loved it and then much later saw potato wars and loved it. Then later saw him destroying MCC looked into him and relized it was all the same man. RIP Technoblade you are truly a legend
