What is nutty is an A4 doing zero to 60 in under 5 seconds.
true, and that's actually a product of Audi's highly aggressive launch control. Without using launch control the 0-60 time is 5.6 seconds (about the same as the TRD Camry).
Gotta be tuned I image.
@@TheBreakfastLover Hi, how do you put it in launch control mode. Just Dynamic and break torque it or is there a setting?
@@arnoldm889 its not, car and driver did 4.8 i think

The Accord 2.0T is a legend.
I dont know why Honda. want stop make 2.0T then they make hybrid , that's sucks!
@@apache4541honestly if they gave the new accord the front end from the inspire (the chinese version of the accord) and a 2.0T trim, this new generation would be a huge hit. the inspire keeps all the best parts of the new front end and fixes the worst ones, you should look it up.
Yep, might hang on to my ‘20 2.0 Sport for a a long time.
Yes it is. RIP

I would be upset if I spent the money on the Camry and got spanked by every other car on the road haha 😂
How unfortunate that the Camry will no longer be available with a V6 because it's a fantastic motor. So good, that Lotus used it.
Ya a slow boring v6 is gone, boo hoo
@@19hundoc47 it would be really cool to see the TRD’s V6 in a smaller sports coupe, I wonder if they’d ever put it in the Supra or the GT86 - probably never but a guy can dream, right?
@@19hundoc47 well, the new set up will be even slower and more boring, powertrain wise.
@@19hundoc47it was really only the transmission holding it back the 2gr v6’s are very solid

The accord with 252hp vs 301hp Camry and Camry still slower 😂😂
Don't be fooled by peak HP numbers. The Accord has a much girtihier powerband especially at lower RPM's vs the TRD.
Torque at low rpms’s! That’s why all the cars and trucks with twin turbos are the fastest. However the Camry will outlast all of them by hundreds of thousands of miles if taken care of. And I’m a huge Honda guy since my first accord in the 80’s. And. I’d still take the accord now. Reliable enough but way more fun to drive and solid feeling
The 8 speed automatic in the Camry is just garbage unfortunately. Not sure what Toyota was thinking allowing that in any of their vehicles. The Accord 2.0T is just an amazing car. Honda made a mistake by not offering it on the new models.
@@ajmedeiros77 When drag racing torque at low rpms doesn't matter.
The Accord is underrated, it has more than 252hp, everybody knows this. And it is lighter than the Camry and it also has closer gear ratios. Audi is also underrated.
That Honda Accord setup with wheels and exterior mods look good. Honda did a good jump putting down the power with the turbo. I believe the accord has close to 300 horsepower, but Honda kept its real horsepower a secret. That Audi AWD shot off quick from a dig. Good race!
It doesnt.I own one, they put down 252hp and 272 tqs at the wheels on 91 so thats about 270-275 crank and about 290 tqs.The audi is about the same but it has a better transmission, the camry is just slow lol.

10 speed on the Accord is an incredible transmission and makes all the difference. It was significantly faster than the 6 speed manual. I had the 6-speed 2.0T manual for 3.5 years. Had I bought the 10 speed version I'd likely still have it. The clutch was the worst I've ever had.

Thanks for the race, i own an audi A4 b9, its a great car, with a simple 500$ tune it can go to 315 hp, its incredible how easy this car can be tuned
Thanks for having me at the race Sam. What a Fun race! Really satisfied with my A4’s performance considering it is the heaviest one here.

Criminal not to have performance mods on that car. Really good looking Accord. That being said, stage 3 tune and bigger intercooler is all it needs if not wanting to go crazy. Not only would it look the part, it would genuinely be fast with those 2 mods alone!
And better tires. The torque with stage 3 from a dig was ballsy. Haha
That accord is soooo perfectly/tastefully done .. very simple , color match , CO and wheels but perfect

@@Whatintheworld-vk6qg The best part is the A4 is a luxury car, not a drag car. Some money was spent on that fact and at no point was the engine meant to be a selling feature. That is whan an S4 and an RS4 is for. With a tune, the car's acceleration is matching cars that are made to be sports cars. I don't own one but my buddy had a 2006 A4 2.0T which was lame to drive and a tune made it much better. He now has a 2017 A4 and he tuned it with a Stage 1 APR tune and it really moves. 375 to 388 ft lbs of torque is pretty decent. The car doesn't need exhaust or any other tricks, just a flash. My buddy's car is also fully loaded with every Christmas light and digital delight. Given it's solid feel, electronic toys, looks, tuned hp output, quattro stability, it is a nice personal space to be in.
Toyota and honda did a good job on making these new camrys and accords look fast. That accord can easily fool a lot of people into thinkin it can keep up with a RS7.

What a crazy comment on a day when Honda won the 2024 Chinese GP and is on track for its 9th WDC and WCC's, something Audi will never have the technology or quality to achieve. They aren't even on the same tier as automotive companies. The VW-Audi group is one of the lowest quality, lowest tech companies out there, a mark of the poor and interest-rate sensitive.
Great race Sam! These 2.0 accords can do alot when their tuned. Even at stock, it's still impressive for a family sedan!
Audi also raced "cool" against a used/hot accord. Doubt the audi would have won any of the roll races if the accord wasn't hot from racing prior camry
I got a 2021 TRD Avalon and i love it!! Different from what everyone else drives
@Sam CarLegion Been a big fan of yours since your first couple drag videos. Ive spoken to you many times in your videos and on Instagram and i have told you many times to put the Accord 2.0T vs the Camry TRD and i know you tried alot because you had replied with couldn't find any at the time. I just wanna say thanks for doing this video and i knew the results were gonna be the outcome of this video. And yeah i knew that the A4 from a dig wasnt gonna be close because you have the Accord with FWD and the Audi with DCT AWD. Just not fair lol but great video. Keep up the good work and do more Acoord 2.0T videos against cars in its class. Love seeing my car perform!!!!
Awesome video, Sam! The Accord is such a sleeper car. Would love to see a Kia Stinger 2.5t on your channel. Let's go! Cheers!

The 2GR-FE is a a great engine in the Camry with the old 6sp AT and zero turbo issues, though the Accord 10sp AT is simply incredible. Car & Driver: 2012 Camry V6 Top gear, 50-70 mph: 3.7 sec / 2021 Accord 2.0T Top gear, 50-70 mph: 4.3 sec
Would have been super cool if you did the last Accord V6 vs. The last Camry V6 👍👍👍
Probably head to head 2.0T eats both but I’ve heard the experience in the accord v6 is more engaging than the 2.0
@chalelu Yeah, for sure, but we knew the 2.0t would beat the v6 camry, would have just been cool to see how the last year of honda v6 went up against the last year of camry v6
As a 16 AV6 Touring owner, would love to see this!!! If I ever plan on getting to Toronto in my Accord, I'll ping Sam. I'm still stock and only have 58k (miles) on the clock.

@@CARBONHAWK1 In a roll race?
I remember test driving the 2.0T Accord with the 10-spd AT when I owned a 435i Gran Coupe. The Accord truly drove like my GC in Comfort mode. It really was an impressive powertrain with a great suspension. Yes, could def tell it was FWD, but I still wish I had gotten the 2.0T Accord vs. the Stinger GT I ended up with at the time.
It's interesting how much quicker the A4 is versus the 330xi that raced an Accord 2.0T a few years ago.
I had the 2.0 Accord and I loved it as a sleeper grocery getter. I got rid of it for the only other car I wanted more and that was the FL5 Civic Type R.
The only reason Honda ditched the 2.0t was because of the TLX. Honda couldn’t have a $20k cheaper cousin beat the crap out of its flagship sedan. Unfortunately, the TTV6 is heavy, but otherwise could have been an epic car.
Apparently I can’t hear the engine revs in your Camry, but I can hear the accelerations clearly in the Honda. Do you really step on the gas pedal at all??? LOL
The way Honda kissed grandpa Camry goodbye is funny to me
They're both slower than turtles
but the honda accord is laughable garbage lmao
Thank you sam, th best drags ever... accord vs camry 👏👊 honda power!! Audi is underrated power and the trac quattro is powerfull
Ok so the Honda makes full torque at 273 pound ft at 1500 RPM and carries that all throughout the powerband meanwhile the camry makes it's full torque at 4700 RPM that puts the camry at a disadvantage already you have to rev the engine all the way up in the power band. I think this roll race should be done over with the camry manual shift revved to 4700 in the optimal gear for the MPH and RPM instead of "Auto Shift". 2 different vehicles with 2 different ways they make HP and Torque. Guaranteed it would have been a different outcome. It wouldn't have won from a dig but from a roll, it should have been the camry winning. Put it to the test Sam! Has nothing to do with the transmission. It has a lot to do with how the car makes power and torque.
Toyta fanboys gonna cry over this one Sam . I can already see it! "Oh the accord is tuned " , "toyota will outlast all of them" , "Sam dont know how to drive" and so on 😂. But the reality is , the trd is just slow. Like most toyotas.
I’m a happy Accord 2.0T owner and even I think the Camry will out last all of them.
@@Bondrkmz well yea. Toyota owners don't buy their cars to enjoy the performance. Honda owners are different. But both only keep their car for an avrage of 7 years. And I would definitely take the accord if I had to choose. But I didn't, so I got a turbo malibu 😂
I see more of the accord Edgars still complaining about the newer models missing the 2.0 more than anything 🤣🤣
@@jton1 yea I think honda realized that the 2.0 is too close to the type r , so they dropped it. It was probably the best performance/dollar you could get.

Great content
Toyota Camry, although it is slower than other cars, is very durable in terms of mechanics. When those two cars that beat it in the race are at the mechanic's, the Camry is still fighting, everything cannot be perfect.
Is there a seperate video on the Accord in this video? Also what year is the Accord?
Its that 10 speed transmission that makes that car quick
I’ve owned the TRD with a Borla exhaust and the Accord 2.0t. I hated the the seats in the TRD Camry. The overall build quality wasn’t as good and it felt like an elbow was starting to come through the seat. The door didn’t have that robust thunk sound when I shut the door. The Accord was simply better and quicker. You could tell Toyota produces more vehicles worldwide than Honda by comparison and Toyota has to spread its resources thinner.
Same I love it when you race sleeper cars. I remember in your videos though the Accord 2.0 spanked a 330i. So I guess the A4 is faster/quicker than a 330i? Based on this video.
Yes the Audi has 264 hp while the 330i has 255 hp.
I’m hyped
This was a great race 🏁
I have a 2.0 Sport 10a and it’s surprisingly quick but hard to launch without tire spin, and I got bigger stickier tires than stock. A tune is in the near future and should help the roll race portion tremendously. It would be cool to put the Camry, Accord, Maxima, Kia, Hyundai, and any other front wheel drive grocery getter up to each other tournament style to rank them.
I also have a 2.ot. the stock tires are crap. I replaced mine with General G-max Rs tires. I went with 245/40/19 size. And I have stage 2 ktuner. Car gets excellent grip from launch little to none tire spin and no spin at all if I'm going 30mph and punch it. I used to lite up the stock tires even at 40mph. I highly recommend getting General tires. I had them on my 16 scat pack 392 6mt and grip was also amazing on that car.
keep it stock,it will last forever.A tune isnt worth it unless you plan to sell the car in a near future.
@@djoj1986 I went with the same size tire but tried the Firestone Firehawk. Better than stock but still not sticky enough. Will keep the recommendation in mind in the future.
Honda is sandbagging the numbers on that 2.0t. Definitely had more power than 252. 10 speed helps but if a car is pulling at the top end then it is hp that makes it pull.
I would like to know if the Audi was in sports mode for the roll races.
For people saying the A4 is tuned: guarantee it's not. I have a simple Stage 1 tune on mine and I'm 4.29 0-60 without rollout. Mid-range and top end is even more impressive. Maybe Sam uses rollout in these times?
B9 A4 pre-facelift 0-60 is 4.9-5.0 secs with launch control and 5.5-5.6 secs without that on par with 2019 G20 3 series.
The Camry TRD is no joke- they are not slow by any means. Anybody saying they are slow doesnt know what they are talking about or has never driven one or raced one. Handles wayyy better then the Accord- better car overall in my opinion. The 2.0T may be slightly quicker- but not by much

The Accord 2.0T was a very compelling car. The engine was stronger than the rated numbers, it was comfortable and had a roomy interior and it was a very satisfying car to drive at the price point. It's sad they discontinued the 2.0T option on the new car.
Miss the 2.0t in the accord. The new hybrid is fine, but not inspiring.
Honda pulled a Toyota on that one.
A recurring theme I’ve noticed is that manual mode isn’t used when driving these NA cars you gotta have them past 5k to have any hope of winning. Those engines are spinny and coupled with a slow downshift it’s gonna hurt the acceleration

I had one of those accords in sport trim with the red paint. Great car and way faster than you’d think. But that red paint would chip if you looked at it funny.
I got a red one, you speaking the truth😂
That V6 is NA, what did people expect. If you give it the same Supercharger the Lotus Evora was once given and rerun this race, it would be a much different story. Don't just base things on HP. That Accord isn't even stock lmao. And that Audi has AWD and we all know German cars never give the real performance numbers. It also has the DCT and more torque than the Camry. Wish Sam would run more races with some newer cars from 2020+ against some older cars from a decade ago. For significantly less money i think an Audi S5 from 2013/14 probably beats all of these, and looks better doing it. I'd also like to see a G37S and BMW 335i from that era run against em.
Currently watching this amazing video on my iphone 15 pro max while driving my Camry at 80mph
Crazy how the Accord is down almost 50HP and 2 cylinders and still outperforms the Camry. So sad that they eliminated the 2.0t after the 10th gen. 😢

Since they killed the 2.0 Accord, they should have dropped that engine in the integra a spec for those that don't need a track capable car and want a sunroof That doesn't cost 50k
