Rose is a pet Jacob 4-Horned sheep
These sheep can be traced back thousands of years and have been mixed with others to produce 4 horns among varies breeds. They are always fun to shear because of their tight skin and easy combing fleeces, but the true beauty seems to be in the various spotted patterns hiding beneath.

The work you do is incredible. It's nice to see someone in the animal world that's not dogs, cats, horses, or reptiles who genuinely cares for and respects the animals to the core like you do.
You might like the hoof gp! He does cow hoof trimming and also clearly has a lot of respect and care for the animals
I love when you have the voiceovers commentating what you're doing. You have a great sense of humor that shines when you do that.
This is just mesmerizing. She handles them so well and like she really cares. I love watching.
Everytime the sheep struggles she tries to adjust to a more comfortable position. Amazing care and patience.
Shearing some of these sheep must feel like unwrapping a fabulous gift! The colors underneath can be such a lovely surprise.😊
That sheep had a beautiful coat. I didn’t realize their wool was quite that long. It is an interesting breed.
When I was a kid, my parents had Jacob sheep. They're a really nice breed. Easy keepers, look cool, and the meat tastes good.
I don't know why but watching you shear the sheep, Alpaca's and Llama's is so relaxing to me. I love how you also educate us on the different breeds and wools. You two are amazing and so caring of the animals. Thank you.
A lovely spotted sheep! 😍 Now she knows that you won't hurt her, she will probably be calmer next time!
As always, a beautiful cut on a cool animal. Keep them coming, please.
Such beautiful colors. And people! 👍💙💖🥰✌
Wow her colours are gorgeous, as an avid wool buyer, this would make a most precious plaid/striped design, and you grace of how you sheer is just beyond🎉❤
Your experience and expertise really showed when she got wiggly/squirrely/panicky you firmly got her settled and continued calmly on
Jacob is also one of the best wools to spin.
I agree. It has great character and is just a nice all-around fleece to make into beautiful yarn. Also, gorgeous pelts.
She looked super cute and I love learning about the different breeds. Stay safe stay blessed stay amazing
I love to watch you shear. That fleece is gorgeous with the crimp. I used to spin but sold my wheel.
Girl I didn’t even know I was into watching sheering till I found your channel. Love watching you and your wife.
I love how you share your knowledge of sheep breeds and so lovingly care for the animals
So pretty! When you first started she looked up at you like she may give you kiss, like a kitty or a puppy. Your so sweet and assuring with them.
She's a beauty queen!😊
I still haven't figured out why i find watching you shear animals so relaxing. The animals must feel so good after they are sheared.
Katie I love watching you work, and listening to your narrate/explain what you're doing. I have always wanted to watch the shearing contests at our state fair, but I always get outvoted... so this is super satisfying for me! Keep these videos coming, and say hello to your lovely wife too!
Who knew shearing videos would be so damn interesting? I love them! And I bet your hands must be so darn soft from all that lanolin! thanks for sharing (shearing) lol
I have had many farm animals but never sheep. Asking myself why?? Nice animals, and you handle them with care. Appreciated!
I love watching your animal shearing video, I never new this existed but after watching your first video. I am hooked on sheep shearing. I have watched majority of your videos and it never gets boring!
You are adorable... the expression during the the weighing of the fleece...just so cute.
This sheep looked a bit ticklish or nervous, you did a great fast job !
Beautiful polka dot sheep ! Fantastic job!
Yes, sharynkoren2054, such beautiful polka dots, this sheep really stands out. It seemed to me that it looked like some of the dots were even tricolored: inside was the real light color, then a grey, finally surrounded by a touch of black. Great job, Katie!
@@donnakahriger25 like a Dalmatian!
Love her love her horns thanks for showing us her majesty and showing her beautiful sheared colors
So much fun to see your video persona grow and flower! I like all of the extra happy explanations!
Love how educational your videos are! You can tell you love your job! 😇❤️🌈
Before I found your channel, I had no idea there was that many sheep in Texas! I love watching both of you work with the animals. You show sooooo much care and respect for them...=) Love from Louisiana to both of you....Happy Shearing
Every time I watch your videos, I find my new fave sheep breed 😮😊 Always love the info you present, thank you❤
Gorgeous thank you for being so kind to the sheep and alpacas ❤️❤️
Rose was a dancer! Beautiful shear, beautiful crimp.

I love animals but I like your sense of humor. Settling in to watch and learn.
I am seeing animals I didn't know existed.Thank-you.
These shearing video s are very relaxing to watch and I like the commentary too didn’t know there were so many different kinds of sheep the wool is always so soft looking nest to the skin !
Good grief, you're at almost 2 mil subs! I started following when you had less than 10k. Wow. Way to go y'all.
Oh my gosh I need that fleece to spin!!! 😍❤️
What a beautiful fleece. Do you ever get bit by either a sheep or a Llama?❤
Gorgeous animal! And she was relatively patient, all things considered. :) Love the work you two do!
Thank you once again for your great (and relaxing!) videos. I watch every new one you put out. Only yours, nobody else’s!
I like the way you were standing and handling the 🐑 so you don't heart her or you don't get kicked .
I hope you guys start showing more of your day in the life of shearing business! I really miss those videos!💛💛 and I hope you bring back some of the lamas/alpacas!!❤
She was so pretty. Those spots!!!! Wow!!❤❤
I have 5 Jacob's, they are such nice little sheep. Love your channel.
Jacobs are so soft. One of my top faves!
Watching you makes me want to get a sheep or two!
So pretty...what a lovely fleece! Love all her spots.
I love that you chat to us
I love alpacas and saw one of your short videos and loved it! I didn't know anything about the animals except they are all magnificent and you're very good at what you do and everyone is happy at the end❤
Wow she does have a beautiful fleece. And you and your wife are both awesome shearers I enjoy watching your videos thank you for sharing.
So cool! I thought that horn got your left cheek at the end! I was holding my breath. Too close! Thanks for sharing your hard work!
What a beautiful fleece!
Excellent content!
I find your videos so mesmerizing. You have a way with the animals that's for sure! Thanks for your videos.
What an interesting looking sheep and what a clean beautiful fleece. It looks like it can just be carded and spun.
You are very talented and gentle with your animals. Also very knowledgeable about different breeds!! Pleasure learning from you!! ❤❤❤

So beautiful!!!!!!!
Amazing Job Katie. Hope you're enjoying the summer with your lovely partner 💓
Im a city guy but this is so interesting and informative. Great job
Nice job.
She is a beautiful ewe.
You work so hard in such a dangerous job.
What a lovely satisfying job this must be 💞 Love your videos 😍
She has interesting markings. Nice!
Simply gorgeous 😍 i crochet and enjoy watching where wool comes from....i enjoy the synthetic stuff also 😅
You're amazing 😊
Kudos shearer.
The hand spinner Jacob fleece is wonderful to spin. I've seen several voices that you have shared that I would love to purchase part of.
Beautiful over and under :)
I found you via Cammy and Al’s tee shirts.
Lol! I subscribed the first time I watched you guys. I enjoy the hell out of watching you guys, and the grandmonsters always want to go back and watch them over and over. Thought maybe you'd get a bit of a laugh out of this... remember when you warned me about the alpaca and llama adult version was coming? I told them they couldn't watch it because it was just for grownups and my 4 yr old informed me that she's " done with this 🐂💩 and she was going to play!" So much for protecting her dleicate sensibilities! 😅😅😅😅 We're working on her mouth and I'm being very careful about what i say in front of her. 🙄🙄🙄
Lmfaoooo. That’s so funny 😂 I had a client that had to work on their 4 year old so they could send him to day care. I grew up in a home full of adult content. It’s all about learning the balance of when it’s appropriate, right? Words are words in my opinion. Some enjoy different levels of descriptive. 🤷🏻♀️
@@rightchoiceshearing you're right. My 7 yr old knows that it's grown up words and she's not supposed to say them, and tbh the 4 yr old is going to have to learn the same thing. My mom cussed, but we knew not to, so I guess it's just learning. I'm not going to stop, as much as I'd like to pretend otherwise, so I'm probably in for a few embarrassing moments with her. Lol. Besides, let's face it, it's funny. It shouldn't be, but it is. I guess I can be glad she's using them in the right context? That shows learning and intelligence, right? You guys are great, don't ever stop entertaining and educating us, please!!! Hope y'all have a good week, be careful, and we're looking forward to the next new video!! 🥰🥰🥰🥰
she was so eager to leave
We ❤ Crimp
Our backyard sheep had a little spotted girl and a little black boy a couple of weeks ago. He is already turning brown.
Lovely little ewe
I love how your clippers sound droning and didgeridoo-like, especially in this video. Have y'all ever considered making an ASMR/Counting Sheep Shearing video? Maybe a compilation with either no speaking or whispered commentary? I do enjoy your commentary, but the sound of your clippers only would be mesmerizing in a sleep help video. Watching your skilled shearing is also very soothing. Just thought I'd mention, as I don't think I've ever seen a ASMR Shearing video before.
So close to 2 mill
Have you sat in a coach seat of a 727? Or a md80, or a citabria, or a metroliner? I can fit in those airplane seats! My husband the pilot, and those seats might have been lined with wool. Love your videos.
I would absolutely love that fleece. I would wash the colors separately, card and spin them. D/M me if you want a hand knit sweater.
...I think I really like your vids that aren't "shorts" (although I ALSO like your shorts, don't get me wrong) because I can BIGGIE SIZE them (I'm on my laptop) and see all kinds of lovely detail. :)
Are your hands soft due to the Lanolin??❤
I would love to know more details about the different breeds.
I can see how you’d get hurt. Beautiful sheep, love the coat. Do they use the fleece for wool? 5:23 5:26
I love your videos but so grateful for closed caption. The volume is always too low for me and I can't always hear your voice/
Enjoy your videos. I was just wondering if you could put tennis balls on the horns while you are shearing to keep from getting stabbed.😊
I’m surprised you’re not wearing safety glasses with those daggers!
