  • I have a feeling you would have loved doing my sheep. 22 ewes and 2 bucks, all hand raised and all convinced they were labradors. When the youngest buck, Bambi, would get sheared he'd just melt against you. Literally had to push him back on his feet and smack his tush to get him to go away. Always saved him for last, because, ya know, cuddles.

    • They're interesting animals. People my daughter know has a male Llama who is a guard animal for their farm from predator animals. He's trained to respond to commands to turn off and turn on his duties. Bruno is also pretty small; I'm not an expert, but maybe Llamas vary in sizes.

    • I have two and we used to load ours up and take them to the neighbors sheep farm when she had her "many more" sheep done. Now I just shear them myself because shearers don't regularly come out for one or two "pet" animals. Also, from personal experience these ladies are MUCH kinder to the animals. When mine were done professionally they had cuts and nicks everywhere. Everywhere. They were sprayed with so much medical spray it looked like they just came from a hospital instead of like nice new sheared sheep.

The thing he hates most is unpacking his stuff when he gets home. By then he’s hot, tired, and ready to just sit down in a nice cool chair. The dog and I usually go out to help him unload, talk to him about his day, bring him cold water to make it a bit easier. He’s been doing this since 1982 and keeps saying he’s ready to retire but I know he’ll die with a paint brush in his hand.

  • Finally a new video. I don't do Tik Tok, rarely do Instagram but have been subscribed to this channel on here for a long time. I'm amazed how fast you girls are and what long days you have. I get tired just watching you. Do you get paid in money or in the wool? Can't wait for the next video. Great job!!

  • I grew up on a farm, and shearing day was always exciting. It was so satisfying to watch that wool just roll off the sheep. Our shearer must not have maintained his blades very well, because every sheep had multiple wounds when he was finished. I love watching you two make it look so easy and without all the blood. 😊

  • Your storytelling is amazing. I love the way no matter what you find something fascinating in every sheep you shear. It is true joy watching someone who has such love for what they do.
