My First Solo Shear Job, And 4 Years Worth Of Wool Sheep

2020 ж. 18 Қыр.

A milestone in my sheep shearing career, doing my own shear job. I started this sheep shearing journey not knowing where it would bring me. Little did I know that America Shearers are in high demand and hard to find. This family have been looking for a Shearer for a long time, and found me. Who knew my first job would be one of the most difficult sheep I have ever shorn up to this point in my career. But, it was a great experience and a fun time!

  • I have been there and done that - the pattern gets chucked out the window and every step is a modification. Most people don't realize that the weight of that wool as it hangs downward raises the skin which will be cut if you don't go slow and deliberate. You did a great job getting through it with a minimum of cuts.
