  • Workers handling sharp or super-heated metals wearing flip-flops, often without gloves or other safety gear is like watching manufacturing processes from the last century. I suppose human power in any over-populated area is easily replaced and less expensive than upgrades in the equipment. Just as an aside, I wonder how long the young man at around 20:45 will live, spray painting without a mask.

    • It is no paint, it is powder coating. So no solvents. It is just plastic powder powdered on the surfice and is backed on (melted on) in the oven. But breathing in dust all the time isn't good for the lungs anyways

  • Very impressive! There in, I think it's Pakistan, a lot of things are made that way. Fascinating to watch. From an occupational safety point of view, this is of course a nightmare. Powder coating without a mask and ironing with bare hands and in rubber shoes? I hope the guys know what they are doing and that nothing goes wrong. In any case, they have my deep admiration and my absolute respect.

  • in 1:04:35 you see how the pieces cool down in different times in stacks and in 1:07:22 you see the hardness sticker XD The time to cool from 800 to 500°C is very important for the hardness of metal and high values can only be achieved this a fast cooling rate e.g. oil cooling. This process is giving me goosebumbs.

  • Very good handy work indeed but gee, get a table, save your backs and use ear protection so you can carry on for a longer time without risking injuries. Can see the staff at work safety authorities around the world crouching down holding their chests having cardiac events for the fact of the working conditions in some of these places.

If they have a sign that says " xx days without accidents" what is the highest score they got. How long before people get deaf working there. How much do they earn
