    • This is how most industrial countries started out, The more health and safety the h8gher products cost The more you need to earn That's when labour costs slowly rise and it becomes uneconomical to produce goods So you outsource he work from poorer countries

    • @tpk158 Fortunately you live and work in a country where there are law to protect workers, you have unions and a claim culture. There are good and bad companies everywhere, unfortunately good companies like yours are in the minority Excluding large Companies using modern machinery, Monthly wage in Pakistan is $160 There is no state or company pensions, the is no paid health insurance supplied, no state help if you can't work. There is no incentive for small to medium companies to improve staffs working conditions as this increases the cost of goods and services and there are plenty of people willing to accept the work regardless of health and safety concerns and let's not forget pre 1960s the working conditions in the US fell way short of the working condition now

    • @@tpk158 correct, but those that came after reaped the benefits those that fought won. Even the small companies are bound by the rights won The point is in poorer countries standing up for better conditions from the smaller companies like those inthis clip has no effect as there are those willing to work regardless Ofcouse benefits had to be fought for You ever heard the phase You get noting for nothing

  • The guy who handles the chrome plating with just gloves and a cloth over his mouth was the most scary part. And I'm guessing they just flush contaminated water out in a nearby river or let the ground outside soak it up. In any case very interesting to see. 100 years ago we did similar things here.

Nobody in Sweden knows how to do this kind of stuff nowadays. It's dangerous and dirty so we made sure it's performed in some far off country. The jobs here in Sweden are mostly about sitting at computers designing hitech military and AI stuff in order to keep "less developed" countries in slavery. Hope you catch the critical pitch.

  • That galvanized pipe shop guys should know about this... exposure to welding fumes, particularly zinc oxide, poses significant health risks. These hazards include damage to the lungs and various forms of cancer such as lung, larynx, and urinary tract cancer. Furthermore, specific fumes can result in metal fume fever, stomach ulcers, kidney damage, and harm to the nervous system. One of the most prevalent health hazards associated with zinc oxide fumes is metal fume fever. This flu-like illness presents symptoms such as a metallic taste in the mouth, headaches, fever, and chills. Although it may seem like a mild sickness, it should not be taken lightly as prolonged exposure can lead to severe health complications.

    • Yeah... Pakistani industrialists care nothing about this unfortunately. These dudes are working with no PPE (except gloves), and the workers are probably desperate and on the brink of starvation. They'll take any work they can get, and the government and corporations are happy they don't have to spend money on little things like masks, hearing protection, welding goggles, work boots, heat-proof jackets, or ventilation. Oh, and of course they aren't spending money on health insurance. What a sad way to live, I feel bad for all these poor souls.
