To top it off you manage to make bilingual comedy that's funny to native speakers of both languages. You're a talented guy.

• OMG i can relate. As an American who quit my corporate American high stress shitty job to follow my dreams and live in France, I get this. This is incomprehensible to the French. After living in France a few month, I don't tell people this anymore. I just say I work and if they ask doing what I just say in my old field that I used to work in. It's so much easier than getting blank stares and trying to explain what following your dreams is. I didn't know this would be so complicated for the French to understand.

    • Chelsey Abbott - I depends on the reason why you are fired. If it is because you have committed a serious fault, you will not get compensation or unemployment benefits. Same if you quit your job. If you're fired for economical reasons, you get compensation and unemployment benefits. Paul is talking about "rupture conventionnelle" where both the employer and the employee agree to end their contract. They then negotiate a compensation and the employee will get unemployment benefits too.

Those are harmless jokes pointing out on social differencies between 2 countries and cultures. ++ it’s auto-derision. I truly cannot understand how anybody could ever compare jokes between frenchs and british to blacks and whites

    • Larry Y but where is it derogatory here ? Like ? Im french but people joking about french population by the use of harmless stereotypes is in no way offensive nor derogatory. Like im the first one to call out ppl when they hold inappropriate speeches but this guy didn’t do anything. If u find it unfunny, well, to each their taste and that’s okay. But going to the point where u compare it to jokes between white and black people, when there’s a heavy history behind it, it’s just being rude and unconsiderated. Like have some decency. There’s a difference between British saying « olalala baguette » and whites doing a blackface.
