You switch between languages more smoothly than I switch between listening to you when you speak English and reading the subtitles when you speak French, and I have a lot of experience with watching subtitled media. OMG i can relate. As an American who quit my corporate American high stress shitty job to follow my dreams and live in France, I get this. This is incomprehensible to the French. After living in France a few month, I don't tell people this anymore. I just say I work and if they ask doing what I just say in my old field that I used to work in. It's so much easier than getting blank stares and trying to explain what following your dreams is. I didn't know this would be so complicated for the French to understand.

Like im the first one to call out ppl when they hold inappropriate speeches but this guy didn’t do anything. If u find it unfunny, well, to each their taste and that’s okay. But going to the point where u compare it to jokes between white and black people, when there’s a heavy history behind it, it’s just being rude and unconsiderated. Like have some decency. There’s a difference between British saying « olalala baguette » and whites doing a blackface.

Facts. I think I've seen all the clips of Franglais
You switch between languages more smoothly than I switch between listening to you when you speak English and reading the subtitles when you speak French, and I have a lot of experience with watching subtitled media. To top it off you manage to make bilingual comedy that's funny to native speakers of both languages. You're a talented guy.
My native language is Hindi and I still thought it was hilarious
Weird flex, but okay.

Enjoying your vids, mate. 3 years as a kid in France myself, so some parallels. Love the switching between languages. A bit like you mentioned in another extract, I've been mistaken by French people as being a francais who has lived abroad for a long time and whose French has gone a bit weird.

I live in New Brunswick Canada, the part about Quebec is 100% accurate. I learned French as a kid (I still suck at it), I went to France on holiday as a teenager and then realized the French I know is VERY different. I loved France though, beautiful country. I hope to go back someday.

ASSEDIC... HOW did I never realise the alternate meaning...? 🤦♂️ Hilarious sketch (again 😁), Paul, thanks! I'm trying to get my mum to come with me to see your new show, she's a bit scared of not understanding it all but I'm sure it'll be more than alright. Cheers, mate!
France: "Here, if someone is fired from a job, we pay them 2 years salary until they find another one (or don't)!" USA: "We'd better cut off that military support."
France has more taxes though
"You'll have the happinness inside of you, ok ?"
Well I am French and I perfectly understand that. Congrats and welcome 👍❤️
It's more like if you say to French people that you "follow your dream" they gonna role their eyes, because we don't share success and enjoy success from others in France...They were probably a bit jealous when you talked about "following your dream"

I think it's unemployment insurance
Chelsey Abbott - I depends on the reason why you are fired. If it is because you have committed a serious fault, you will not get compensation or unemployment benefits. Same if you quit your job. If you're fired for economical reasons, you get compensation and unemployment benefits. Paul is talking about "rupture conventionnelle" where both the employer and the employee agree to end their contract. They then negotiate a compensation and the employee will get unemployment benefits too.

You dont get it because you've never experienced or appreciated a culture other than your own.
Nah white and black are skin colors. There’s always underlying racism when jokes are made about black people. But here ? Those are harmless jokes pointing out on social differencies between 2 countries and cultures. ++ it’s auto-derision. I truly cannot understand how anybody could ever compare jokes between frenchs and british to blacks and whites
@@joonlogist Differences in cultures can be discussed without it being derogatory. It isn't always to hateful to acknowledge differences between two groups. It isn't always funny either.
Larry Y but where is it derogatory here ? Like ? Im french but people joking about french population by the use of harmless stereotypes is in no way offensive nor derogatory.
So you left your job where you get paid to travel in business class all over the world to make people laugh. Economically that's not very smart. And I want that job please
