In this one I head out with Vic and Jesse into the lava fields of eastern Idaho. Vic in his 6 wheel drive SxS, and Jesse in his Toyota FJ Cruiser. Eastern Idaho doesn't have a lot of rock crawling, but these lava fields are definitely a place you can go to challenge your vehicle on some rocks!

    • @@offroadhub.official those link bends would pull your diff about a bee,s dick.. thing is, whatever you strengthen, pushes the force to the next weak link, which will be the mounts. bigger the wheels, bigger the obsticles, so, doesnt matter. [ turn them over,,so they bend back.lol..].any lava holes,caves, to walk thru.?.theres a huge cave here in s.a. aus. near mt gambier.all volcanic, mt shank,extinct volcano, pretty huge.. blue lake, pretty bottomless. id be fitting 33 or 35,s to that 6x6, move rear diff, drop diffs. fit turbo, nitrus, ls3. nope,,just the wheels..

  • Don't make hole in your oil filter. My 2007 has a top mounted stock filter location and it drains back into the engine leaving only about a teaspoon of oil to wipe up.

    @PeteHemdem@PeteHemdem Жыл бұрын
    • I'll do it without the hole next time. I just wanted to do every possible "trick" for the demonstration. If I hadn't made a hole and oil came gushing out, somebody would have recommended punching a hole in it. 👍

      @offroadhub.official@offroadhub.official Жыл бұрын
    • @@offroadhub.official The upright oil filter position has been used for years. I had a 1990 VW Jetta that had the filter right in the top and front of the engine and it was never an issue with being full of oil when not running. The same with my 2007 FJ. Which reminds me, I need to do an oil change too!

  • Have you found a replacement window for the right rear? You might have had a bad spotter while in Oregon. When you get back to southern Idaho, try to make it to these F-4 J-79 General Electric engines. I have not been to them. It might be a good adventure.
