It’s a lot bigger than I expected! It’s got great quality! I was using a Logitech C90 for years and I swore up and down by it! But I had to Gerry Rig a ring light to it for streaming and it looked really trashy. This camera looks a lot more sleek and works just as well (maybe better) as the C90!

btw I never had any meetings using more than 480p and mostly around 360p. So the question maybe is this webcam good on a lower ratio than 720p?
I liked the fact that you reviewed it using synapse. I didn't know that you need streaming software to change fps thanks for pointing it out. Also if you listen carefully its mic sounds noisy. What are your thoughts on that?
I'm fairly certain that noise it my desktop fans being picked up, as they're rotating right next to it. Maybe even my GPU coil whine lmao.
Which monitor do you use? Would like to get an idea about the overhang, if the Kiyo would work with the bezels on an LG 27GL850

What usb port did you use to run this kiyo my webcam is detected by synapse and the microphone works but i got no video feedback from it and tried to install different drivers from windows 11 and camera privacy settings are all good and still same issue the problem I've got no usb 2.0 on my pc only 3.0 and 3.1
What? In the test, in a well lit room (1st example) the light and colors look way better with the ring light off. The black levels are way better without the ring light and only natural light. Maybe better to tweak in the software using natural light instead of making everything overexposed and then trying to reduce the exposure
Would have liked to see how the zoom worked
It did bother me a bit that in low light, moving your hands even a slight bit caused a refocus
Can i adjust it completely downwards for a keyboard cam?

Hey do you know how to test the built on microphone , have it connected to my series x and while it works on twitch It doesn't pic up the built in microphone

For people looking to buy the Kiyo (not the pro), dont. It has a lot of issues,mine just died randomly out of nowhere after using it for just over 6 months. I googled the issue and there are tonnes of posts with the same problem. The light starts flickering and stays permanently on and the camera just stops being recognized by the windows or the razer synapse. Like it just dies or fries itself. I tried reinstalling firmware,updating software,nothing works.
Can you record videos on it or is it only used for live streaming?
Not directly on the camera. You'd have to use software like OBS

Hey nice review I got one today from sale, but thinking about sending it back. I watched your Video after instaling, bcus the grain (visual noise) is massive on mine and i wanted to look if it is for everyone or mentioned in reviews. But yours looks so much better than my picture. Could that be faulty hardware or what could that be?
Better overall lighting conditions maybe?
@@JackWoodhams Thx for the reply I tested with all light options, grain stays the same. In your Video it looks good, almost no noise, even only with the ringlight. Have to test it on the Laptop, otherwise it might be a hardware defect. Like with Monitors from time to time, missing pixels or color missmatch fresh out of production.
With the ringlight, doesn't it suck to have to look into the light all the time?
Turn off the green LEDs. It messes with the lighting.

You this would be good for music covers? Obviously I have an audio interface so I wouldn’t use the webcam mic. But if I wanted to use it to record, you think it’ll hold up?

Anyone have any solutions? I have the same camera and software for it, but the fov slider daoesnt appear any solutions?
I can tell u that the auto focus is too good... my friend basically put this in his mouth(don't ask why) with the light on and it was so sharp for a webcam

I thought the Logitech Streamcam Image was fine. The colours appeared balanced and solid. The Razer gives you a washed-out tone and appearance of your face that seems to use by default. I'm sure that can be improved though.

is there an option to set manual focus or any 3rd party software that can do this?
Yep you can do this in the software advanced settings, focus will be checked to "auto" just uncheck it and adjust the slider.
Will it be OK on a gaming laptop

The Razer software didn’t start for me, but I gave up on Windows back when XP was still top line. I’ve been super happy with it. Good build quality, excellent video, and the ring light is great. The only negative is the microphone, which is far too weak. But since I have some music recording gear in my closet....
if you are still using the cam, razer synapse now works on mac books as well :)

Dumb question. If i stream in 1080p at 60fps would the webcam be in 60fps too?
You'd have to set the webcam to 720p 60fps

does this one work for streamlabs OBS?
Not used it with Streamlabs but it's just picked up by Windows as a webcam so I can't see why it wouldn't!

@@Humlesnurr ive not but my friend has it and we did compare on Discord, the c920 was noticeably more grainy so the Kiyo performed better from what we could tell. No issues with the ring light, you don't really notice it.
apparently the colors are off, and there are grains on low light, the c920 looks better imo (I rlly wanted that kiyo :( )

@@regamox the Kiyo is much much better in low light. Colour can be tweaked as well.
