This space on twitter is such a toxic ecosystem, and its so difficult to make friends in it for this exact reason. on the otherhand, there are plenty of lovely people in that community, but fake backstabbers like this lot, ruin it for everyone else. It hurts to see people we thought were friends and girls to look up to, turn out to be such horrible vile beings. Theres plenty of group chats out there (from my own experince) that were filled with the most wonderful, uplifting people. it sucks to see just a few girls give a bad name to a community we love.

It's a really sad trap to fall into and the fact that they doubled down really shows that theyre still kind of clinging onto that commodore. wanting to be liked by others is such an infectious disease but its also extremely human of people, evolutionary and subconscious even. i agree with you that there is a culture online where you are forced to do certain things to appear morally just and correct but even then i still do kinda feel like there are creators online who *are* genuine and *do* want to do good, at least i know i try to be, but majority of the time those genuine people arent required to say they are that, they just do it yknow? honestly i feel like no matter what these days when (not if, when) your skeletons get exposed and you have to write an apology for shit you did in the past its gonna get shat and clowned on no matter how perfect it is especially if youre apart of a marginalized group so really the only thing they could possibly do at this point in their situation is to take time offline or even move on from it and showcase that they have changed, itll take time and hurt money pockets but its so worth it in the end imo.

    • i agree, i'm not trying to white knight the girls but rather than hating on them and saying how awful they are, i think there's more of an uncomfortable topic to be had about internet façades and how it meshes with the human psyche. the internet itself is stressful, these girls may have said real awful crap, but that doesn't mean all of their niceness was ingenuine. a person's mood changes a lot in the course of a week and when you're in a superficial market, of course you'd have a crap ton of insecurities. not everyone has to have the same opinions and views, you don't have to support groups that make you uncomfortable (you still need to treat them with basic human respect), even if the whole of twitter tries coming down at you. everyone deserves to have a safe space to vent and let out their negative emotions- people aren't always going to be kind and polite, that's just life- but the internet, of all places, is NOT the place to do it. something to note is that with the age of technology, those who are chronically online lose the ability to process their emotions because they chase dopamine on the internet, then, all that repressed thought and emotion just flood them and create a depressive/manic cycle. these girls really need to process things offline.

I've never met someone who talks unironically about being an egirl who isn't exactly like these people. The twats aren't worth the time. I think there's a difference when men and women argue for the most part, not only do women argue more petty than men, but they hold grudges a LOTTTT longer and actually try to ruin eachother. Men just insult eachother and make up in a few days. This is a good example of the difference Source: Trans woman.

It’s a tad different but it got to the point where almost half the school knew about it and I’d hear people sharing in public and giggling about it behind me during class. I’m really lucky to still be here. But people like this are so hard to humble. It happens a lot more than you think. Even beyond the deep fakes, this clearly shows that Atrioc was more than happy to sexualize women who don't have that as apart of their brand/platform (Up until last year it seemed like Poki and Maya both intentionally avoided anything that could even be interpreted as a thirst trap). Clearly this was something that bothered her deeply before this happened, as people have commented that she pays a DMCA/clean-up service to take down fake nudes of her online. On a lesser level, this guy probably factors into most plans she makes personally given how close he is to Ludwig. Vacations and long-term planning could easily include Atrioc and his wife. Given the way they talk/act it's a game about status. You act formal when you're at work, you act social when you're in public; an apology (to that sort of person) is just following the rules in order to preserve their image. Someone wouldn't do the things they did if they had the capacity to turn on a dime and feel sorry for the person they were attacking. It would take time to break down their moral structure of the group they are/were apart of.

Close to no one realizes that this is the case for KZheadrs, politicians, CEOs and pretty much everyone that is somewhat famous. That’s why they are so shocked and often hate a person that is real, not knowing the people they follow and like are probably as bad or in other words also just a human…

    • or they are just a Twitter user. I don't understand how you all use Twitter normally without seeing drama every single day. I make friends? They retweet and talk about drama. I follow an artist? Drama. KZheadrs and streamers? Drama. Bots and image posting? idk. I start being very strict on who to follow? Still drama somehow. I don't use Twitter normally. What I do is make Twitter lists and use any alternative front-end to the site that hides liked tweets and retweets. It works really well. It's not flawless but I don't complain. I tried muting words. It doesn't work.

  • Yeah, I dealt with a similar situation with my ex and used-to-be close friends. Created a group chat, shit-talked and villainized me, and took everything EXTREMELY out of proportion. It really psychologically messed me up. The point of me saying this is to express myself as a human being that this is stuff that happens and what some people have to go through, I'm not saying this to cause more drama. If you're one of the unfortunate people going through this, just know that you're an amazing person, try not to let the situation ruin your brain, and get professional help. Regardless if you're the one not at fault in the situation, getting professional help is important to growing, understanding, and help be a better person overall.

    • Same! I get that person A may not like person B and thus feel like they need to rant but a lot of the times it just become a huge bitchfest and people starts getting satisfaction talking shit and creating false rumours. I have seen it happening throughout my high school, college, uni and even in work. It got to the point where person C hasn't even met person B but would talk nasty shit about them or actively try to ruin their reputation as if person B did something to them. I hope you are feeling a lot better now.
