Shamima Begum loses UK citizenship appeal

Shamima Begum, the schoolgirl who left the UK to join Islamic State in Syria, has lost the latest round of her legal battle with the Home Office over its decision to remove her British citizenship.
Begum, who was born in the UK and raised in Bethnal Green, east London, was barred from entering the country and had her citizenship stripped in 2019 by Sir Sajid Javid, then home secretary, shortly after she was found by The Times in a refugee camp.
After a special immigration appeals commission (Siac) ruling decided to uphold his decision, her lawyers took the case to the Court of Appeal last year arguing that the Home Office had failed to consider if Begum, now 24, had been groomed or trafficked - an apparent breach of anti-slavery law.
The three judges in the Court of Appeal have now ruled in the Home Office’s favour.

    • Yes COA did make the right decision. She has a husband who is Dutch and an Is*** fighter who is currently in prison. Once he is released he will have the right to come here if she is allowed to return here. Her family who was seeking apologies from all and sundry needs to be returned to Bangladesh.

    • TRUE. But the reality is that European politicians are not interested in the well-being of their own people. If they had been interested in the well-being of Europeans, they would never have allowed the illegal and massive immigration of African and Muslim immigrants into their respective countries. Europe is a colony of the United States. And the United States is under the power of the Israelis. Israelis, fearing the disappearance of the state of Israel, have encouraged the United States to enter wars in the Middle East to destroy potential enemies of the state of Israel. This has generated a large number of refugees and the United States and Israel have decided that all those refugees will go to Europe. Many of the ONG are financed by Jews.

Throw us out of your country if you want but don't let them takeover your country. They don't believe in freedom, equality, secularism, diversity or human-rights. They know only believe in one law (the S-Law), and their simple formula is just go to other countries to another countries as refugees & immigrants, marry there & increase their population to takeover them. And if you raise your voice against the attrocities they commit on your land they'll label you as an I-phobe & anti M-lings. Please do your own research on whats written in their fantasy book against non-believers. There's global nexus working to takeover the world because as per their book whole world was created by AL for M-lings so its thier duty to claim each & every corner of the world & convert everyone to their cult. In Myanmar, Thailand & Japan its Bu VS Iz, In the west its Ch VS Iz, In India its Hin VS Iz. They're doing the same all around the world. I m not saying just simply believe me just do the research.

This government, and the Tory government of the time could have properly drafted the original legislation but did not. This current Tory government could have tightened the legislation by statutory instrument but it didn’t. It has left the courts to set the parameters of the legislation and its interpretation. To do so you need lawyers on both sides to help set those parameters in case law. To blame human rights lawyers for doing their job is rather ignorant. Blaming the tories for yet again, failing to do their job, is much more appropriate. Time and again, governments do a lazy job in legislation drafting and just hope that it all works out. Just read the 3 .factortame cases and the reasons for these cases being heard and you would know that it could have been avoided if the legislation that brought about the circumstances in those cases was properly written, and/or changed when it became apparent that it needed changing. The latest legislation that leaves many doors open to court cases and many hours of legal fees is the Rwanda Bill. The government wastes millions and millions on cases like these. It also wastes billions on other things too so one case where human rights lawyers on legal aid on one side is a drop in the ocean in comparison.

    • You people hardly know anything about them. They hate you (UK) & everyone else, just because me/you believe on something different from them. You people hate us because you think we steal your jobs & we look different. Throw us out of your country if you want but don't let them takeover your country. They don't believe in freedom, equality, secularism, diversity or human-rights. They only believe in one law (the S-Law), and their simple formula is just go to other countries as refugees & immigrants, marry there & increase their own population to takeover them. And if anyone raise your voice against the attrocities they commit on your land they'll label you as an I-phobe & anti M-lings. They're doing the same thing all around the world. I m not saying just simply believe me but do the research. Please

Citizenship is not just a right to all the benefits of a country, you are duty bound to protect your country of Citizenship no matter what. Your country of cultural origin should no longer be a consideration. Too many immigrants don't understand this.
