    • Slickly produced inside the episodes videos helped mask over behind the scenes problems we didn’t know about. Until by the later seasons it was painfully clear how scripted and staged these are.

  • I watched the previous 3body in one go. That's how much interesting it is. But I really hope that this will also works well for me to fall in love with the series all over again.The whole story is a completely crazy good.   • Ok I’m going to say it. Mr DB and Mr DB redeemed themselves with this adaptation. I’m a huge fan of the original trilogy and I had a blast binging all eight episodes. I can’t wait for more! I commend them for the liberties they take when adapting a “hard sci fi” while keeping the core concepts!

    • We never disagreed that they are gifted in delivery quality work. We all agree that that they chose to rush GOT and stiffed all the fans. Maybe it they do three seasons and end this show without the pressure; fingers crossed.

    • @@attazmills29I disagree. I think they just grew tired of steering a ship without original material, waiting for the author to finish something he began almost 30 years ago. They probably hoped he'd be done by the time they reached season 8, but he wasn't. Yet, they were the ones scapegoated while GRRM remained silent in a distance. They are gifted in adapting original material. Here we have a full novel. They did learn their lesson.

  • It becomes clear now that the reason D&D rushed and screwed the ending of GOT series is they REALLY wanted to make this sci-fi series. Now I can understand them totally as this series is way too phenomenal to wait for them to do the adaptation XD

    • Trisolarans or trisolaris is a aproximation to the original chinese name "San- Ti" which they use in this show. Aldo the trisolar sistema is referenced multiple times.

    • @@ethereal1412 first ep? Sure. Its build up. The first season itself its also build up that uses elementes from all three books. They are targeting this as multiple seasons. Also to drive the show, you need the human component more present. After all the San Ti are so far away in time and space that the threath its more existencial. So the start is slow but neccesary.

    • @@ethereal1412 oh i know, i just dont care that much. What happened there wasnt that much simple. For one, studio jumping on the gun to make an adaptation of a unfinished work that got more popular than they expected. Second, GR Martin aint no stephen king, his process its slower and in no way shape or form capabel for keeping up with any kind of big production. And last but not leats, in here they have all the material finished. A complete trilogy and a spin off. They even have another prevoius atempt to compare themselves. So yeah pal, i got the reference. I just dont care about your intention behind saying it. Im hopefull about this show. I think is really good. But hey, thats just my opinion on it. Have a nice day.

  • I am a big fan of three body novel. The beginning shocks me. The director must try his best to remain the essence of the original novel. But I bet most of Americans totally have no ideas about the cultural revolution in China : ) Maybe the director should move the whole background from China to US. It could be much easier to understand for the most.

    • @@einsam_aber_frei about those slogan,you can google it, the background of the Cultural Revolution was that Mao Zedong gave law enforcement rights to workers and farmers at the bottom to oppose intellectuals who supported capitalism. however, the revolution was taken advantage of by people with ulterior motives.As a result, many innocent people were persecuted and more than 100 were directly killed.

The writers literally wrote a scene in the episode where Dany and her advisors discuss the Iron Fleet and some of you still believe that they then wrote Dany literally forgetting about their existence. The fandom was either being disingenuous or stupid as hell. After spending the last five years hearing their complaints, my money is on both.

  • Overall, I liked the first season and applaud the showrunners for their efforts...but I couldn't help thinking, The Wachowskis would have done an even better job at the helm. And while some of the casting was excellent (Jin, Mr. Wade, etc), others were a real head scratcher like Auggie - the portrayal was very one-dimensional (e.g., petulant).

    • Da Shi has a gay son, Luo Ji (Saul) Smoke pot and cheat on gf, Ye Wen Jie sleeping with any man she could find after a few conversations (And I felt bad for Netflix Evans for kissing that average looking middle age Asian woman....that's Ye Wen Jie?) and gave birth to Yang Dong...sorry, no, its VERA YE. Operation Guzheng that's suppose to do silent killing to avoid Evans destroying the Hard drives but then in Netflix version you have kids out of no where on the ship screaming and alerting everyone The list goes on.....

    • Wang Mao is the blandest character in the entire series. If you’ve read all the books, you also know that the 4 others are variations of Cheng Xin, Luo Ji, and Tianming. It was actually ingenious to bring their arcs in earlier so you actually care later on

  • 3 mins into the first episode and you can tell their won't be a second season honestly if netflix doesn't take it down inside of a month i would be amazed. Not saying that because i don't like it on the contrary i do solid 7.5/10 but do they honestly think they can display the CCP doing a struggle session or deforesting an entire region even thou it's historically accurate with out the CCP curb stomping them until they spread their cheeks and admit they are guilty of wrongthink. If you think they won't react like that you haven't been paying attention they have a long colorful history proving what they will do when they perceive a "loss of face".

    • Netflix is banned in China. This isn't made for a Chinese audience. The author is one of the most prominent writers in China, and the series is made at his blessing. Also the author is very much a supporter of the Chinese government, and always has been (something that becomes quite clear while reading the books). You clearly have no clue what you are talking about.

    • They didn’t ban the book in China and they’ve made a drama series out of it, only deleting those Cultural Revolution scenes. This is not really that sensitive as many people think. There have been numerous films and TV dramas about cultural revolution already.
