  • My favorite shot this episode was that 3-4 seconds where she is looking out at the mongolian landscape and purple sunrise contemplating the decision (maybe also remembering the destruction of nature in that area) both because the weight of the decision and the vastness of the landscape matching that, at least thats the emotion I got.

  • Love all these characters. They're more connected to each other than in the original books. Very smart adaptation! I'm so excited!

    • they are completely different characters than in the book (1 singular scientist is replaced by 5 almost teenagers basically), I seriously can not take that Riley Reid porno star looking "actress" as a top scientist seriously. Also DD really can't resist making some lame sex joke every 5 minutes huh. This show only confirms that GoT was only succesfull because George RR Martin was heavily working on the show with DD. While with this DD are just doing whatever they want and Liu Cixin doesn't care as long as he gets his pay-check. This will be canceled in 2 weeks because nobody is watching it.

    • You mean making Ye Wen Jie an easy Asian wh*re sleeping with anyone she could find and zero character development depth basically for all characters and re-shuffling all the characters role within the Oxford 5 and skipping out all the key part of the original story line? I am just gonna watch the visual effect part and skip everything, not wasting my 7+ hours time of total plot Rubbish

  • Honestly as a reader I feel that Ye Wenjie's anguish in the series did not resonate as strongly as I'd like it to. The culmination of all the misfortune, injustice, and betrayal in her life leads up to that moment where she loses faith in all humanity and decides to press that button. Because of how sped-up episode 2 went, that moment did not feel earned, well not as much as it did in the book.

  • I never had expectations for Netflix, 8 episodes watched, full of prejudice against China, white men saving evil Asian women, extremely simplified story, no science knowledge, split the main characters into 5 Dr. Oxfords, no emotion in the characters, can't bring in the characters.
