They could've done a stand-alone DC game that's connected in the Arkham universe, but no, we got this and a missed opportunity for a Green Arrow game. I honestly see his tools as a good match. His bow and arrows could work and motorcycle. Not on par with the batman technology, just close enough.
Why do you still choose to watch the cutscenes the you know you hate this game you know you don’t want consider this as part of your Arkham universe ? Like why both clicking on the videos (Coming from someone who rather likes the game)
They should made this character The Trickster. Then you could made use of an under used character rather than having to resort to using The Joker YET AGAIN and also not disappointed everyone with this characterization.

Making him the Trickster is much better I had a theory awhile back before he was revealed to be joker that he was going to be the Trickster who was affected by joker blood (event of city) and turned into a weird mixture of both trickster and joker. Story wise Makes sense joker may target a copycat as a potential replacement (and also as punishment for copying his style) and from a marketing wise would have allowed they to have joker and tie him directly to the Arkham version. But then they revealed dumb multiverse stuff

It’s just a bit of a cop out for joker his original death meant so much in the universe and change a lot of things him coming back should be treated as a BIG deal not just oh he’s back. And yeah rather through multiverse or brainiac tech the league is definitely returning And obviously I totally agree deathstroke or someone should have been first new character (tho I get joker is a bigger name and brings in more players) I’m also hoping we see more melee with a character like deathstroke he should be able to equipped a sword instead of a gun in one of his gun slots (the default melee move would be his bow staff) so you can choose to have 2 guns or gun and sword (and obviously this can then be done with other melee focused characters. I imagine this being a bit similar to the swords in destiny where you potentially still need aim for them and they potentially have a secondary movie instead of a zoom

Why didn't they just use Punchline? Could've kept the whole killer clown theme without recycling Jonkler, made her that dimension's variant of Harley, and given her some more attention.

They had the perfect squad to do some dark shit but the jokes are horrible and nonstop.....
They for some reason turned him into a badly written spiderman where he just makes quips and has no rhyme or reason to when he acts crazy. A well written joker shows us how his plots of acts of evil madness make sense to him in his head, or better yet show his intellect. Him randomly shooting people with no good set-up or punchline shows how shit the writers are at there job

I will fully admit it got a laugh out of me as well. The actor does a very good delivery with these, even if the lines don't feel very "Joker-esque." It's a shame the dialogue is for a character where it plain doesn't fit.

But it's an undeniable fact that the entire history of the Arkham universe was screwed with this game, a game that no one asked for, a game that no one wanted, so it's not ungrateful. Fans wanted a game about Flash, Superman, the Justice League, everything from the Arkham universe, or just a continuation of Batman.

Honestly hate how Harley "isnt into" The Joker anymore in this universe. I'm sorry but this incarnation of Harley was absolutely obsessed with Joker even after he died in AK. Now she talks like she can't stand him and has adopted the "girlboss" persona almost every other incarnation of Harley is attempting to grab these days. She would have been so much better still obsessed (and maybe using this game to lose that obsession by making friends) and still having that "psychosis mode" from Arkham Knight
It feels like they drew inspiration from the Harley Quinn show and Harley Quinn movie. Because this is more how her relationship is with the joker in those adaptations currently. But I agree that it doesn't fit this universe well

This definitely isn’t Arkham joker, but I actually do think his jokes are kinda funny like the real joker. That being said the real joker would NEVER inject the bomb into his own neck. Back in Arkham city the joker fought tooth and nail to get the cure and live, and he was even licking the ground where it was smashed shortly before his death. The joker hates life of course, but it’s his own desire to end life in creative ways that makes his survival instinct extremely high. Only way he’s okay with dying is if Batman’s the one to do him in.

They ruined Harley completely, she was super in love with joker to the point of trying to get the random people infected with jokers titan blood for herself. In city dlc she was nagging at the guy who made a move on her because Joker was the best a girl could get with her words. She was talking to penguin about how profound joker was in knight dlc. Now she was in Arkham asylum for 5 years and suddenly doesn’t love him? Suddenly she isn’t a sidekick? She called herself his turf back in Arkham city… this isn’t character development, this is an attempt at making Harley Independent just like all the other characters, ultimately ruining her for woke points. Sad, she used to be one of my favorite character too
It's been 5 years and I'm the time it's very clear Harley has changed at least to an extent to where she feels guilty and want to separate herself from that past her redemption for all they insane shit she did is fighting Braniac they way they present the story and her character makes her seem like just a few things have changed,if anything I blame the presentation
@@jinxact532 I have to disagree on this one. Her whole character is different, she has a crazy facial expression in almost every cutscene, specially the ones where she is in danger. This is not something Arkham Harley did, she was rather scared or agitated in situations that didn’t go her way or were dangerous. She also acts like a child is this, clapping for no reason in excitement when shark broke the breaks, also touching dead shots butt when she was told not to. This again is super out of character for Arkham Harley. She did not have a relation ship with ivy in the previous games, they were only friends and again she was super in love with the joker. In this one she comments on how they have been thru things together , like her “ex”… she did not realize that he was abusive while ivy was alive, because she was still madly in love with him in knight, the same night ivy sacrificed herself for nature. She was super sadistic herself, killing children and so on, now she has reflected in prison? If she has reflected she would stop being Harley Quinn, the reason she is this crazy villain is because she loves joker and wants to impress him and help him. Without joker she would just be Harleen, there is no reason for her to continue committing crimes and so on. I have replayed the games many times, I have loved Batman since I was a child, Harley Batman and joker are my 3 favorite characters, if they are out of character I notice quickly. This is not the same Harley, this is a product of woke garbage. Harley is commenting on her nurse outfit, how it was a phase dressing hot.. she was literally slutty from the beginning, her jester outfit was tight as fu*k. It’s dumb how they try to play that off just for some points, a girl can’t even be sexy anymore without it being a problem. The point is there are a million things that are just out of place. Good thing they allow muscles for Batman still

I feel like the whole connection to Arkham thing maybe wasn`t the best idea. It created expectations for the characters and clearly they did`t live up to those expectations. They`re using the whole concept of "elseworlds" to justify the differences but that doesn`t change the fact that they`re claiming it`s in the same universe as Arkham.

Play-through to get to rank 35 in their arbitrary episode system which is just unnecessary bloat. Then you gotta go through the same missions again to level him up to 40. The issue isn't that they require playtime. The issue is that the missions are the same thing over and over again. Technically the goal is different but executing the goal is the same process with almost no variety. They should have structured more of a story around it to make it a little more interesting.

I like that Harley immediately backs off and has outgrown the Joker, but this Joker seems more sane than the ones usually depicted. He doesn’t seem as Chaotic and Mad like the others are, still kinda curious where the Joker from MK11 is from since they killed him off in Injustice.
Yeah. I guess being with a suicide squad made him more sane but he is still insane since he shoots all of the guards in the room while laughing maniacally. But knowing this game they will likely never expand on it.
I'm guessing Brainiac messed with Joker's brain enough that he could regain control of his laughter and think slightly clearer. But apparently his impulse control was beyond fixing 😂
