Wasn't it clear from Brainiac himself that this is basically an alternate Universe? He was even telling the 4 that he would unleash them into the Multiverse. And one thing, in the Injustice Animated movie, it seems that every alternate universe thinks that their universe is Earth 1, meaning that even if these guys are referring to their Universe as Earth 1, most likely it ain't. DC is flooded with the whole Multiverse, Death and events have gotten to the point of being as inconsequential as events and death in freaking Rick and Morty. I mean, even look at the Harley Quinn series, Batman and Co are always disrespected, why would this story be anything serious when even many comics aren't? To be clear, I'm just making a point here, not disrespecting nor attacking.

@@littlehamilton117 First of all, you're wrong on many levels. If the ring bearer dies, the ring will choose a new person. The only times it doesn't immediately do that is when A) the person who is next in line is right next to the ring when the original owner dies & B) you're another lantern who can force it to choose you as ring powers are relatively the same across the spectrum with a few exceptions here and there under certain conditions. King shark would not have been able to get ahold of the ring in the manner in which he did. Also, its Oa not Asgard.

Personally, that wouldn't make a difference to me. They could've made a Suicide Squad game that just focused on their independent story. They could've made a Suicide Squad vs JL game without making it part of the Arkhamverse. They did neither. They took something already established, took anticipated characters, and killed them all before they even explored the story of how we went from Arkham Knight to the founding of the Justice League. I don't hate this game because it kills my favorite heroes. I hate it because its a shit story that they had to know would be divisive at best. Point is, making it non-canon wouldn't give me hope for future games. If they don't care about their story, why should I?

I think this is the first time I think a game of choosing between good karma and bad karma would have been better. Imagine that after Lex's death, the team went to his corporation and found a plan that Luthor was making with WW to return the league to normal, but at the same time they found weapons to kill them all. In each confrontation we can choose whether to kill them or save them from Brainiac's control, so Rocksteady would have done his idea of killing the JL and pleasing the fans... Literally NO ONE would complain if it had been like that. (unless the canon ending was the bad one)

About around the time that mobile gaming was starting to get big and they figured out they could put microtransactions onto console games, which was mobile games' business model. So apparently the senior members apparently went to Warner bros and asked to ether a superman game or a Batman beyond game. While the current heads of rocksteady will call bull on it, a bunch of concept art was leaked for the game for superman which looked to be pretty awesome. Eventually Warner bros said they wanted a suicide squad game and the senior staff gave up and left after that. Can’t say I blame them.

This is the single most disgusting and just straight up disrespectful ending I've ever seen for a videogame character's arc. We grew up with Arkham's Batman for well over a decade now, and for Rocksteady to just unceremoniously off him like this just straight up ruined the franchise. Not to mention that that's the worst way they could've honored Conroy's legacy.
