The fact Wonder Woman gets such an honorable death while Batman dies on a park bench speaks volumes about this game
The story makers probably really hate Batman, and you can tell that the lecture from Harley was not one from her character, but from the message that the devs were trying to push about how awful Batman is for beating on poor lil serial killing murders…which include’s Harley, but let’s be honest, no one in modern day sees her as a awful person for her crimes, no, it’s all about Batman beating on those poor mentally ill who just blew up a child center on the next street over.
Also the fact that Harley Quin decides not to help Batman when he’s being mind controlled, but instead executes him with a gun while lecturing him about being too brutal, is hypocritical. Harley is a character that goes on and on about how she was “manipulated” by the Joker, how she was brainwashed by him, while she goes off to kill countless people. Across every single series, it’s batman who is usually the one who tries to help her. But what does Harley do the moment she sees someone who is *ACTUALLY* brainwashed? She lectures and brutally executes them.

@@kirakoraawesome You’d think now she’d realize how stupid her past logic is, because here she knows that joker was ‘manipulative’ to her and was extremely violent and wasn’t just getting beaten up for no reason, she even calls out joker for being violent and abusive here, so she’d know that Joker, and other brutal villians are not really some sort of victim of brutality from heros that have to be violent to them, but I guess not since she still sees Batman as such as someone who beats on defenseless poor folk even here.
@@kirakoraawesome I think we’re unironically meant to see Harley lecturing (and executing) Batman as actually heroic here. This scene is meant to actually be her “standing up” to Batman like she would Joker, and it just doesn’t work, especially because Harley’s past actions were so much worse than Batman beating up supervillains vs her killing innocent people (she causes way more emotional damage than anyone even within the SS). When Harley does the whole “poor joker/criminals, they are just misunderstood” thing, i don’t think we are meant to actually side with her, unlike here, I think those parts were just meant to be foreshadow how she ends up working with the Joker.

This game doesn't understand how Lantern rings work. If the wielder died, then the former wielder's ring would leave them and find a new worthy host.

Harley’s speech to Batman is the cream on this rat poison cake that this game is. She, and every villain that they faced should have been killed for their crimes, they’re serial killers who have been proven to bring anything but death, pain and suffering. Batman chose to believe in them, he could have killed them many times, in fact, many times Batman has been insulted for being “too soft” and not daring to kill, rule that the Joker himself actively looked forward to break. But no, apparently Batman is the evil one for daring to stop this crazy murders from committing crimes, and the game doesn’t even let Batman respond to this absurd claim. This is not canon for me. @@moglet12345 gameplay is very repetitive, basically every mission is a rebrand of a previous one, the plot doesn't make sense from beginning to end, woke narrative, uninteresting characters (Deadshot best example), killing off beloved characters in a pathetic fashion, bad writing overall, launch was terrible, utter nonsense of a monetization system, upcoming joker dlc which is a massive downgrade on Mark Hamill's joker, ending that leads nowhere except for upcoming battle passes and shit looking to make quick profit through cosmetics, requiring an Internet connection to play offline. I could go on really but it basically took a massive shit on the things rocksteady has done for the last 15 years, making the arguably the best gaming trilogy over the span of seven years and destroying it with a game that was shorter than all of it's predecessors. You could probably finish the main story in under 8 hours

Outside of that it is pretty clear that if you create a game that was to be the continuation of arguably the most successful superhero game franchise only to kill the protagonist thereof, along with the ones that could have provided further games of the same universe, in addition to gameplay and graphics that are objectively far less polished than the previous game which released 10 years ago, and withal, you provide not merely a poor management of the release, but flood it to the gills with microtransactions instead of providing customer service that keeps up with the wherewithal that was requested for users to play the game... If you consider all of the aforementioned points, it is no wonder that it was a flop of the highest order

It is literally inevitable a game is going to be terrible when they take to pushing some kind of agenda because it ends up sacrificing parts of what could have been a good narrative into a preachy lecture or something equally as obnoxious. Yes yes I know Kevin was gay but the difference was in every Batman story he was in they focused on telling an actual narrative instead of hammering some political message in your head, not even subtlety either. You seriously can’t name any kind of story where that worked, it ruined the last of us and it ruined a decade plus of Arkham lore just because they wanted to connect the two to sell more copies. What a load of good that did because 99 percent of Arkham fans despise this game now because of what it’s done to the game series we loved.
It’s so funny that the only thing they had to do with this game was not set it in the Arkhamverse and nobody would be complaining. The fact Rocksteady decides to build an incredible Batman universe with well developed characters only to shit on it in the end is insulting. Literally just have this game in its own universe being its own thing and you could get away with so much crazy shit.
Like Marvel having “The Avengers” “Spider-Man” and “Guardians” all in separate universes but still have all the same heroes. But you know, if they had just rewritten the game where all the characters, especially Batman, get to come back to life in the end instead of staying dead, that could’ve also made the game good.

Harley is the clearest sign of that. I like the version of Harley who's a foul mouthed bisexual chaos gremlin doing antihero stuff. But the Arkhamverse Harley was definitely not that thing. She was an unhinged maniac in an upsettingly realistic way. They had to completely 180 the character, while still pretending it's the same world.

He is still a regular dude, there's no reason for him to be anything other than a tutorial boss, aside from plot armor.

Suicide Squad : Kill Rocksteady. How to ruin a franchise and story from a amazing series
I don't blame Rocksteady for this. The company -which i forgot the name of- who owns them is forcing them on this bullshit. Rocksteady never tried coop bullshit before them, they just made awesome singleplayer games.
@@ogeday6069Rocksteady is only the same studio that made the Arkham games in name only, these cutscenes are well made so there's still some cinematic talent but the names that made the good games like Sefton Hill and Paul Dini left years ago. Now Rocksteady makes what Warner Bros wants and like Netherrealm with MK, they're gonna be digging their own graves with WB Games' greed

This is such a bad way to end the Arkham Universe. Shame on the studio for thinking this was a good idea. At least make it non-canon so some people can have some fun killing Earth’s greatest heroes. I'm willing to bet a lot of the dumber decisions in the game are a result of corporate interference. That being said, at least some of it has to be Rocksteady's fault. I'm struggling to figure out why they thought it was such a good idea to kill off beloved characters like this.
Only decent things from this game i like were King Shark rocking the Green Lantern ring, the really good character designs of the justice league, and the "Thank You Kevin" at the end. Other than that the way the league was killed was insanely unceremonious and had zero impact besides Wonder Woman's death.

Honestly, the fact they are still more or less themselves rather than mindless automatons is creepy. Like it’s still them but evil as if they just choose the be evil on their own rather than act like mindless slaves makes it feel both scarier and more personal. I’m glad they went with it. The fact when Wonder Woman uses the lasso on Flash, Barry seems be both sad, and scared that he must die, and is utterly horrified with what he and the others have become says a lot. Just show how the mere idea of turning evil terrifies the League.

I can kinda answer that but it's because the cutscenes most likely use completely different software to animate rather than the in-game engine. Usually, cutscenes nowadays are animated with the ingame engine to avoid this dissonance... but since this game was clearly made with duct tape after WB demanded the original version of this game to be changed into an fps battle pass game and never really gave them dev time to pivot....

So they: - Made Flash into Heimdall from GoW: Ragnarök, then pissed on his dead corpse - Made Wonder Woman the only character not captured by Brainiac, and the only "dramatic" death - Made John Stewart a joke, and turned his dialogue into generic black man #3 compared to his usually VERY stoic DCAU demeanor - Misinterpreted the power ring's behavior after John died, then made it act like the Red Lantern rings after King Shark used it - Made Batman a moron who got captured and controlled by Brainiac, made a joke moment with him beind drugged, then made him die to Harley Quinn. Nkt the Joker, Scarecrow, Mr. Freeze, or suicide, Harley Quinn. A C-lister (like the whole squad). -Made SUPERMAN DIE TO BULLETS, WHEN HE WOULD'VE DIED TO THE KRYPTONITE THAT STABBED HIM. They just level grinded to get the Bullshit Damage perk that ignores all canon, pre-established character, and any semblance of sense in context of the universe it takes place in. I'll sooner argue that punching a giant in the toes over and over in Dark Souls makes more sense than being able to take down speedster heroes with mere human firepower.

The story concept was great I would love a comic where Suicide Squad actually kills JLA but the execution of this game is so bad
Actual suicide squad stories are pretty good, and can involve interesting bits but they despite the games awful tagline were never really meant for and never really were a Justice Leage taking down kind of group. Braniac is supposed to be a 12th level intellect amongst other things, so SS is also WAY WAY outside anything there. I mean lest we forget, there is a reason these people are IN the suicide squad...and its because they were beaten before. Often by just ONE of the JLA members(for a lot of the SS people, just Batman) so this game and the idea...its something anyway.

flash can literally cave their skulls in if he punches them at full speed, and they can't react to it, green lantern can quite literally use the power of his imagination to fold that team in half, batman is a giant mastermind and a master of many arts of combat, and super man is the much more op flash, since he is literally invincible apart from kryptonite, and he wouldn't even get hit with those "golden kryptonite bullets" because he is too fast, and obviously, he could rip all of their heads off, not to mention the shameless killing of every single one of them, this game sucks
Injustice Superman I think even in Year 5 was Way more Powerful than this Superman. Even though he wasn't as Strong as Main Comic Superman he's still Bulletproof.
I´m not planning on buying this game but I still like some of the character designs. Batman and the Flash look cool, but they do make them seem useless compared to what everyone knows they are capable of doing. It just doesn´t make sense that they killed them this way.
