Oh it’s definitely a race thing in Green Lantern’s bio in this game he’s described as “one of the good ones” I feel like the whole reason they chose John Stewart is because the writers seem to to take issue with a Black Green Lantern seeing how Green Lanterns are essentially space cops I honestly feel like they were one step away from calling John an Uncle Tom and as a black man whose favorite green lantern is John Stewart his characterization and the way he’s treated in this game infuriates me

my theory and this might sound stupid but they probably knew braniac was coming for a while and like in the lego batman games by looking at something like they eyes of the ship and it brain washed them. or since braniac can teleport he managed to get them frozen like we see in the end and they turn them evil
Because Superman tried to be reasonable with brainiac and convinced the league to negotiate with brainiac inside his ship instead of attacking him the second they saw the ship and they fell into trap, long story short Superman wanted to set an example to the world that not everything should be dealt with violence and it backfired on him and the league.
It’s kinda sad that the justice league has actually cool design and even the hall of justice looks grand and great But everything else around it just shits on it Almost like it was a different game
Probably it was, but WB executives wanted a SS game that could be monetized to hell and back. So pushing the squad was main priority for them.
I think during development rocksteady wanted to do a Justice League game or spin off equivalent. Unfortunately WB is to greedy and wanted a SS game. The SS already has a tiny fanbase as it is. They just had to make a guardians of the galaxy knock off game. What’s even more ridiculous is that guardians of the galaxy game was absolute trash too. Was a huge flop. Can’t say this game is a flop yet cause the bonus story coming in. But I think us fans knew this game was gonna be underwhelming. But I kinda get what you mean. The visuals are awesome and the hall of justice is amazing. Unfortunately the story is just bad.

People have been focusing on Batman (and for good reason) but honestly they did Jon Stewart just as bad if not worse in this game

John Stewart hasn't had a good adaptation since Justice League: The Animated Series/Unlimited. Maybe people glossed over it just because we've had some 20 years to be used to John getting a bad rap. And it's frankly still not as bad as what Bruce and Barry got. Hell, the more I think about it- *_I'm actually starting to think Flash got it even worse than Batman!_*

Wouldn’t Jon’s ring stop working if he was endangering civilians? It has locks in it and for certain things and they don’t allow killing unless the Gaurdians say so. The only person who I think overcame the block with their own will power was child Bruce Wayne before he became Dawn Breaker

This is the laziest use of green lantern powers ive ever seen in my life. Its fascinating how uninspired the hero who's entire power is his imagination is.

One thing I think that would make this game better and the disrespect to the JL less is that they should have used a nemesis of each hero to take them down. For example thawne for flash, sinestro for lantern, doomsday for superman, and the best, Deathstroke for batman.
that would have made a lot of sense, although idk how doomsday was gonna work with the rest of the team without killing them although thawne could probably take down every jl member besides flash easily lol

In DC Universe Online opening future Jl got Killed by the Legion of Doom in a Epic Final Battle
Instead this could've been a Green Lantern game with Hal, John, Guy and Kyle as the main characters

😅This is a dumb suggestion, but for the Green Lathern boss fight, they could have done something else that'll be cool and made a bit more sense. There was a comic (I forgot the name, though) where Batman's contingency plan against GL involves containing a limited powered yellow lantern ring. So, the SS could've beaten him as yellow latherns (they can play as the same but with constructs) until their power runs out.
Ironically Injustice Superman actually Became a Yellow Latern( I would say he's more Powerful than the Superman of this Game and is Used to Not holding Back and can actually Fight).
That is literally exactly what happens...

Imagine if we play as the justice league fighting against Brainiac minions and super minions, having a mini boss fight and the final boss is Brainiac himself, that would be dope.

The fact that green lantern job was basically turning hero’s and villains like him was insane if flash didn’t stop him that would have been the end of the beginning
One thing that’s off to me is they couldn’t seem to decide on the voice change between normal and turned leaguers. Lantern is the only one who sounds different when he’s under control. This game is definitely the worst this decade has produced so far, and will definitely be one of the worst by 2030. Probably one of the worst games ever made imo.

@@Cybermat47 it didn’t for a while. At launch the servers failed and had to be reworked. Even if that wasn’t the case, I’m obviously not gonna count games that couldn’t even function properly or had server failures. I’m referring to games that actually made it to function. And this game is the worst you can get while still being able to play it.

John has 𝐧𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫 been so condescending to criminals in any of the continuities he’s appeared in. It feels like the changed his character just to have the black cop-gangster dynamic. And no, I’m not talking about his brainwashed self. The way he talks to deadshot when taking him in is extremely weird. Normally John would mentally note, and talk to Batman about Floyd’s words.
The ring chooses its wearers, right? So why doesn't it un-choose brainwashed John? But again, I'm not a Green Lantern fan.
The wielder has to either die or have a guardian or the lantern in question remove it

We followed Batman for 4 games and he dies like he did😢. But John got disrespected the worst. Arkham Batman is a childhood hero so his disrespect will naturally carry more weight, but the way they did bro is horrendous. His imagination is his greatest weapon yet all he makes are guns😂.

Lots of things wrong with this game but people upset that the squad was actually able to kill the League feels silly. Stan Lee said it best “If I’m writing a story where The Thing is fighting Spider-Man, and millions of people are wondering who’s gonna win, the answer is whoever I want to win!” It’s the same reason Arkham Batman, a regular human, is able to beat dozens of meta humans in a single night. The writers of these stories start with who they wanna win and work backwards to explain that. All that said…damn that boss fight is lame

Nobody talks about how well they adapted the Justice League into the Arkhamverse? (I'm not referring to their deaths or that they are the villains). In this game Rocksteady showed that it can do more, they adapted Flash with his powers and personality, Green Lantern with creating things, Wonder Woman with her whip and sword, she also looks like a Greek warrior and the best thing is Superman (SUPERMAN) her story that He tells it through a hologram in the Hall of Justice, he uses his powers, and in a few scenes he had wow "since before several games he had were difficult but here they did it." I hope they make prequel games of them since it has a lot of potential 🙏💚😢

okay, call me crazy, but i think john stewart was meant to be hal stewart early in the game, but they changed it to john stewart to play it safe i mean think about it, the way stewart talks in this game isn't like him much at all. he's snarky, rude, he acts more like a certain hal jordan than he does john stewart. and we know that deadshot and green lantern have a rivalry in the game for some odd reason (most likely due to some race issues). i'm just gonna put this out there, i feel like this was originally meant to be hal jordan saying these things, seeing as, and i quote, lanterns act as "Galaxy policemen." thus had to have been something planned for hal, not stewart.
