But he’s been stressed out about his marriage and was trying to keep it together when Jada snapped and got him to go up there. Smith is a good man but was lacking strength mentally

    • I really dig how sometimes when he's goin in on someone, he's just cackling at their responses and you can see he finds the whole thing hilarious. I guess it just makes it funnier because he's fully committed to the bit? He's so quick too. I didn't really get in to comedy until a little while back and it was only after I saw Chris Rock on Louie and in Dogma that I realised what a legend he was. So happy I get to enjoy his work now. I dunno if any of that makes sense, I'm still ignorant to a lot of what makes comedy work but anyway he's a genius in my book

  • It's funny, looking back at how ruthlessly he ribbed Letterman for his infidelities, I think Chris absolutely should have went with an "August" joke at the Oscars this year. The GI Jane 2 joke was way too tame for Will, he clearly wanted a much better "smack". Seeing how many times Will laughed at Chris' jokes over the years, it's still a very bizarre event.
