I'm sure she did, and I'm sure she's proud!
Im sure she's proud, brother, head up! ❤️👑
She's proud of you!!
So sad... Losing relatives is very hard, I know. Looking at you, at your channel, I can say that she was a good person. Rest in peace(
Hey Im sure she's really proud of how good this looks you did a really good job I bet she's looking down on you like wow my sugar grinder has looked any better 😊👍
I found the military flag used when my dad was buried. The one given to the family after the ceremony. It was in a drawer in the attic. I had it dry cleaned and had my friend in the navy help me property fold it. I brought a display case and the small plaque it came with engraved with his name, rank, and branch/dates of service. It was a surprise Christmas gift. I hadn't seen mom cry like that before. It was really touching, she had to be so tough after dad died. There isn't a dollar amount that can replace memories.
aww, that was so thoughtful and nice for you to do that for your mum. how lovely!
What a thoughtful gift!
I'm crying just reading that, that's so thoughtful. ❤
that's a beautiful story
You gave urself 500 likes
Your grandparents have all reasons to be proud - their grandchild has arms, head and heart all in right places.
❤️
This implies they shouldn't be proud of their grandchild doesn't have arms. Also implies the current grandchild doesn't have legs. Also never mentions hands.
@@kingshady6595 agreed
But sadly their heart is in the toes 😞
@@HistoricallyAccurateBrit lmao
Your grandma should be more than proud of you she is extremely lucky to have a grandson like you. May your grandmother RIP🙏🏻
My grandmother has been in the hospital since yesterday due to a stroke. When I saw that you were doing it for her last wish, I was very moved. A great "Thanks" to our grandmothers and grandfathers who cared parallel with our parents to give us a proper upbringing and many things to remember them.
this sugar grinder was used to make granulated sugar for home use, because before they didn't sell granulated sugar, but the sold sugar in loaves, which were solid and you had to break off bits of sugar and grind them to use.
I never knew that. Makes sense before we had pre sliced bread.
Ooooh~ Never knew about that!!😁😁 I was curious about the device.🤔
in eastern europe we use this device to grind poppy seed for making poppy seed cakes or pies, but that is probably illegal in western europe :)
@@extremedragon1257 hm~ Interesting
@@extremedragon1257 Only if you use an ungodly amount of poppy.
These projects always hit different. My most valuable restorations are things given to me by my grandparents. The sentimental value far outweighs any monetary value.
Just had a look at your channel. Love the content, subscribed 👍
@@datgaydangernoodle1315 Thank you so much! I'm no TysyTube, but I am part of the Restoration Cinematic Universe (multiverse?) ®️™️
Sorry for your loss
❤️
@@TysyTubehey! You stealed my video!😢
I grew up watching/helping my dad dismantle, fix, & rebuild practically everything under the sun in his workshop. Now that I’m older I understand that it’s a form of therapy, and I feel important & satisfied when I build or fix things. Now his health is deteriorating and his workshop is as he last left it years ago, too weak/shaky/sore to do anything. It makes me really sad. I learned so much about ‘the right tool for the job’ from him, and more.
I’m so happy you could find a way to your Grandma. She wants you and o know she loves you with all her heart and she is extremely proud of you! In loving memory of TysyTube Restoration’s Grandma. Rest In Peace. 🙏🙏🙏 I send my prayers to you and your family. God bless.
So sorry for your loss. This was such a nice restoration, and she'd be proud and thrilled by the result

BEAUTIFUL tribute to your grandma. I know she was and IS still proud
Rest in peace to your grandma I hoped she lived a full and happy life with you❤😢😊
This was excellent. You really went all out. Love the result. 🥰🥰🥰
Me too.
@@yousifgamer2015ikr it’s amazing 🤩
The magnet holder in the shot blast cabinet is a great idea - saves the gloves a bit - and painful if they do get punctured. I think you may have shown this or another youtuber has - a bloody finger through the hole! Beautiful restoration of a once necessary tool to grind the old loaf sugar which was like granite, I bet! Thank you for sharing.
Im sorry for you loss. My grandma isn't doing to well. Lost my grandpa a little over a year ago now. Still doesn't seem real. I'm sure she is proud of you my friend
Great restoration man, the only thing I would have done different is to keep the inside of the grinder stainless steel so that you don’t get paint chips in your sugar over time.
Thoughts as well ... not sure what the original design was.
When was the last time time you had to grind your own sugar? No one is gonna be using this thing. LOL
@@paulw252lot of people do And restoration should be making it usable
@@dawnmartin3337 it will be cool to keep it they way it's meant to be. Even if it's not for actual use
I assume he used food safe paint though?
Watching this inspired me to start working on restoring my grandad's old 386 DOS computer, which he taught me to use when i was very very little! I know it's different work and different skill set, but the reasons are the same. My grandma had all sorts of antique kitchen gadgets like this; a flour mill, an apple peeler, coffee grinder, etc. that were always fun to use. Many of the kitchen items she used every day were generational, having belonged to her mom or her grandma. UnfortunateIy when they both passed, my jerk uncle wanted to sell off everything to antique shops. I was only able to get the computer bc he thought it was worthless, which it probably objectively is, but not to me.
Do it for your grandparents
I hate uncles that do stuff like that
You did Grandma proud. Well earned Strawberry.
❤️
He’s treating it with such care and love that it shows that a loved one actually gave it to him.
I know I may just be another comment in a video. But im sure your grandma is proud. This is beyond amazing.
I’m sure your grandmother is proud of all the work you’ve done. Keep it up.
❤️
Looks great, TySy. And knowing that it belonged to someone so close to you makes the restoration even more beautiful. Thanks for sharing.
❤️
What a precious gift for your grandmother to have left you! No doubt, she knew you would have the same appreciation for one of her prized possessions as she had. You did a fantastic restoration!
Your grandma is most assuredly smiling down on you. This is gorgeous work
I'm sorry for your loss. May your Grandma rest in peace and always be remembered. Great work by the way.
Last week I restored my girlfriend's grandmother's hand mirror. It was wonderful watching her and her mother crying for the emotion receiving the gift. Sometimes an object has a lot of meaning for some people.
I’m so sorry for your loss, my grandpa from México passed away when he was sick. He was a great man.
Your Grandmother would so very proud of your restoration. 👵❤️👵❤️👵❤️👵❤️👵❤️👵❤️👵
My grandma just died last weekend and I know you had no way of knowing but thank you very much for this video it really lifted my spirits.
Bless you. I still miss my grandmothers. All I have are memories and their delicate handkerchiefs. I still feel quite blessed. Thank you for reminding me.
I really admire how you "upgraded" it with the idea that it would be serviced again in the future, Good work, I'm SURE grandma would be proud
that completely dark background looks great! It's been a long time since I've seen a video of this channel and I'm surprised how much it has improved in technical quality.
Bruh
That’s the most valuable restoration you could’ve done!! Your Granny surely would be proud of you❤️
Now you have freshly grinded sugar for your morning coffee ☕️😂👍🏻👌

7:45 That powder coating looked so good before it got heated! That satin finish was just perfect
R.I.P grandma TYSY, you will be truly missed 🙏🙏🙏
Your grandma would've been proud! ❤️
I’m sure grandma is proud of you and glad to know you’re taking such great care of her favorite sugar maker.
❤️
you're a good guy. we should keep her memory alive.
It must have been such an awesome feeling working on something that your grandmother loved. I miss my grandmother everyday she was a great woman and I wish I had something like this to remember her
De pe vremea cand obiecte ca astea se faceau in Romania. Toate cele bune!
Mda. Se folosea uzual pentru macinarea nucii. Zahar pudra se gasea in Alimentara.
@@luciandumitru6583Nu, masina de macinat nuca arata diferit, cu un fel de razuitoare in locul axului din mijloc. Asta era masina de macinat mac.
We have one just like this. We use it to grind poppy-seeds. Nice way of remembering your grandma!
Dude I know just how you feel... Im sorry she passed and I hope she is having the greatest time of her earthly life in heaven! Everyone should pray for you to feel better. I will everyday. Also great job restoring the grinder!
this was the sweetest thing you could have done for your grandma
You have an amazing talent on restoration! I know your grandma is very proud! 👍🏽👏🏼
My grandma has a similar grinder, but we used it for poppy seeds. Works fine. Good job on your restoration!
Your grandmother would be very proud so sorry for your lose. And awsome restoration
Excellent job! Your grandma is looking down from Heaven and smiling.
I understand you a lot man. I lost my favorite grandma one year ago. It's always hard
I think your granny would’ve liked this. From one stranger to another, beautiful restoration.
Beautiful…❤️ vintage kitchen ware…
Très bel hommage à ta grand-mère avec cette superbe restoration. Elle doit apprécier de là-haut 🙏
Good work and nice restoration. Keep it up
Bravo sir! There is no knowing how many holidays, birthday and other joyous occasions that grinder helped to sweeten. I am sure your Grandmother is looking down and beaming.
Your late grandmother will be proud for restoring her favorite possession
Really highlights both the differences and kinship between you and My Mechanics; one precise and methodical, the other instinctive and intuitive, both getting great results and being interesting and entertaining to watch. And of course I always enjoy watching powder coating bake.
Something got into my eyes... Amazing restoration as always.Your grandma would be proud!
RIP Gran he has just created another work of art. That was brilliant.
You're grandma had a wonderful grandson. So may she Rest In Peace and that you and you're family are able to get over this huge loss which seems easier when said but difficult when attempting it. But I know you and you're family are able to.
Well done, very good video. Although you can probably grind sugar with this thing, but it is actually a poppyseed grinder :)
I know your grandma is smiling down on you. Rest in peace.
I’m sorry for your loss. I bet your grandmother would be proud 🥹❤️
your grandma is probably watching from heaven now, very happy that you repaired it
Condolences for your loss. What an interesting device. Icing, or powdered, sugar has always been sold in packages, never had need for a grinder. It's been this way since about the mid 20th century, at least, AFAIK. I do live ina sugar producing nation, so that may have something to do with it.
An amazing restoration dude ! Im sure she would be very proud of the result, awesome tribute. Keep up the wicked content I really enjoy the edits
Grandma is a legend if she still had this
Way to show respect to your grandma with this project. I am sure she is happy
this was a really good restoration! and love the asmr!
What a beautiful result! Question: does powder coating affect the spring differently, since it is a part that must flex?
powder coating won't really affect a spring's properties, but depending on how stiff the coating material is it may flake with repeated cycles like any other paint. I'd suggest something rubberized that has some flex to it instead.
You're from Romania? I didn't know that. Much respect to your grandma for using it. It's such a clever simple classic way to make sugar grains. I hope she is living in a happy place.
What a beautiful restoration in memory of a loved one you have sadly lost.
What a beautiful restoration. I'm sure your grandma would be so proud to have this back to its original condition. I understand that this would grind sugar finer but in what setting would this have been used back in its day?
Before granulated sugar was sold, it was sold in solid loaves. You’d chip a chunk off and put it in your sugar grinder and it would turn it into granulated sugar.
Great restoration mate, looks great. And sorry for your loss..
Grandma would be so proud!!!
I'm from Romania. 😃 So many memories I have with this tool of grandmother.❤️
May your Grandma rest in peace and may also her memory be forever in your heart and soul i wish you guys the best during at down time ☺️☺️☺️ 😇😇 PS: it really always brought me up tears whenever i'm thinking my Grandparents i really miss them so much so it aches my heart 💘💘😭😭😭😭😭
Fantastic restoration I always love to fall asleep to restoration this one was worth it to watch all the way through.
Your Grandmother would be proud of you. You did her a good blessing. She would have been blessed to see you do this favor for her. Lord rest her soul, she is in a better place now.
Excellent job. Grandma would be proud.
A beautiful restoration and so meaningful! ❤️ Lovely work 🔥🔥🔥
Stay strong Tysy
You are such a loving , and talented! grandson. God bless you and your family.
Your grandmother must be proud of you seeing who you've become bless her soul 🙏 ❤ 😁
This restoration seems that it was done with lots of feeling behind it. The end result describes how much love was put into this. Gorgeous :) Powder coating puts this into perfection!
Abraço do Brasil meu amigo.
I’d like to think that all our grandma’s are hanging out together and having a jolly time up there 🥲
This warms my heart just looking at the grinder, may she rest in heaven.
Today I learned that sugar grinders are a thing. Great video, your grandma would be proud! Question; what's to stop the paint from grinding away into the sugar?
Theres no paint on the inside mechanism :)
@@exploridori but there is though, the whole inside lips are painted, and at 10:32 you can even see the powder coat already chipping away. He painted the grinder mechanism…
Any engineer is watching
Not only does she definitely know what a amazing job u did I'm 100 percent sure she is smiling and watching over you
She would be so proud. You made it beautiful again.
I've never seen powder coating being done. Very cool.
Que maneira mais carinhosa e honrosa de manter viva a memória da sua avó! Certamente, ela está orgulhosa e muito feliz! Parabéns pelo trabalho e por tanto amor!
A labor of love. She would be so proud of you
I'm sure you made your grandma smile as she looked down from heaven to watch ❤️
Perfeição.👏👏🇧🇷
Parabéns mais uma restauração perfeita 😀😍👏🤜🤛🤗🇧🇷
She loves it even before she gave it, because she knew you would give it love and new life. Besides I once remembered a quote someone once told me, "Legacy are trees planted by men who will never sit in its shade." She trust you with that grinder and trusted you make it beautiful and new like she once saw it.
Any grandma with a sugar grinder must have been a sweet lady. Rest in peace TySy Grandma.
