Finally a test in a real life environment and not in a rocky trail in the US! It’s incredible to see what it can do with stock tyres! The plugin model is even more capable with 306HP and full electric traction! 100% my next car!

However, most of the people only tested it to climb a short steep road without pushing the engine harder and just claimed it is not capable to do proper off-road track. @@DriveYourWayI like the real test of the pre-collision system. Likewise, the test of starting from a place in deep sand. Perhaps you could also add a test of a cross drive over uneven terrain. (crossing axles - this happens more often when driving off-road than wading through water and it will show how the 4x4 drive works). Or a test of starting from a place on a steep incline on gravel and starting when one side of the car is only on a hard surface, while the other side is on a slippery surface (a test of how the drive electronics can redistribute power to wheels with better adhesion...) One question: have you gotten stuck somewhere during the test with your Toyota RAV4, so that you couldn't move without help? What was the fuel consumption during the off road test?
First of all, thank you very-very much for your super interesting and useful feedback ❤️👌💯✊ we depend very much from the weather conditions and natural locations when we are testing cars, but in any case we will try to implement your ideas 💡 Answering your questions: Once we have gotten stuck in the sand, spent 15 minutes with shovels to dig up a car🫠😁 Average fuel consumption during the test was 6.5 l per 100 km

In general the car is really cool, we had a great driving experience. Super like for very smooth working of gearbox in combination with a rear electric motor!!! From the other hand, all the time of the off-roading we were scary for the front bumper due to low approach angle, but as you can see eventually we had no damages. As a downside we consider the outdated interior design and low quality of screens pictures!!

I own a 2020 RAV4 hybrid and find it great fun to drive on dirt roads however I find the shock absorbers a little underrated. It spends a lot of time on the bump stops when driving "enthusiastically". It makes a great town car.

Thanks for this video! Great to see the RAV4 Hybrid being challenged by mud, water, and sand with some good footage of how well it pushes through with some power applied to the wheels. It looks very capable when taken off of the street roads. I have been surprised at how quick mine is from a standstill start but that is one of the advantages of the added torque from the electric side of the power train.

Great video. I own exactly the same car and love it. I was looking for reviews and videos before deciding to buy it and couldn't find something good. This video is comforting for me; ensuring that I made a good choice, although I didn't have the chance to go off road with it. This would have changed my mind. I see some comments regarding the different trims of RAV4, so I will just note some differences between this trim (adventure) and other trims. - The engine is the same - This trim has 19" wheels and 223mm ground clearance, other trims have 18" or 17" wheels and less ground clearance. - This trim model has more rugged/off road look. - This trim model offers more towing capacity and has additional coolant for the transmission.

Great video. What about driving over dry and very rocky off road terrain? Asking as my adventures (current and future) will be on this kind of terrain (i.e. driving up a mountain to get to spots where I can go climb).

Hard to say, but we believe after our test everything will be fine, maybe only with one exception - aluminium engine protection is placed, as it seemed to us, a little low, we clung it several times, it was scratched after the test! And just an advance - if you have not enough power and wheel rotation , just turn off ESP! By the way, what is your favourite part of the video?

It is this vehicle in plugin version that pushed me to get rid of my Prius and my Land Cruiser. 100% satisfied.
This is not plug-in version! Not sure it can replace Land Cruiser! Did you watch the big offroad test of LC 300 GR Sport on our channel? But in any case RAV4 Adventure is awesome 😎

Great video! I also own a Rav4 awd-i but it is not the adventure model unfortunately. Are these only the successful footages? The car performed that well in those conditions that it didn't needed assistance to get it out from the mud or sand? I liked all the scenarios, was a bit afraid of the pedestrian break but I am glad to see it in a real scenario.

I conduct food safety audits at farms. Part of the audit we tour the outer perimeter of all the crop production areas. Most farmers I work with have bad ass trucks. In early November I rode in a 2011 Rav4 with a farmer who's working thru a financial rough patch. His rav4 took us thru all the same places the bad ass trucks could go. I was really surprised because it was a rainy muddy day out there. No problem for the rav4 with 259k miles.

Great review. You guys had a lot of fun 😅 Two questions. 1. Do those alu/silver parts, underneath shields (or whatever is the name) are real shields or just a cosmetic thing? 2. After going through the weather, did you have any water leaking inside? Doors or bottom.
