The 2021 US Open main draw runs from August 30 - September 12 in New York City at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center. The tournament takes place for the 141st time and is the fourth and final Grand Slam of the year. Dominic Thiem is the men’s singles defending champion but has withdrawn following an injury. Naomi Osaka is the women’s singles defending champion and will be aiming to claim the title for the third time in four years. Meanwhile, No. 1 seed Novak Djokovic looks to complete the calendar Grand Slam after winning the Australian Open, French Open and Wimbledon already this year. Should the Serbian lift the title here for the fifth time, he will also overtake Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal to become the first-ever man to win 21 Grand Slam singles titles. With full capacity crowds back again, it’s time for the greatest return!

    • This year Novak won 3 out of 4 GS. He is the only player to win every slam twice. Tsitsipas said that Djokovic is GOAT after RG final. Berretini said it in interviews. Zverev said it 2 days ago. Murray and Roddick said that Djokovic is the tennis GOAT. Now after the USO final even Medvedev said that Djokovic is the GOAT of tennis. I mean there is no more to prove, everything that is to come is just the icing on the cake.

This was just a bad day for Novak and a great game for Daniil, so there is no doubt that Novak will win more Grand Slams. After all, those words at the end that Medvedev said to Novak were enough.

    • Novak's will be 35 the next year - so maybe a couple of Slams more. It's unbelievable which pressure he was under the last 2 months, if you don't take it, having Novak's mindset and ability to reset, then .... it's just insane. But of course for me as Russian it's a great day today. Med's calmness was like Novak's at his best moments.
