MAJOR hats off to Carlos's and Casper's parents for raising these two to be well-mannered and really pleasant young men. Both of them are going to have amazing careers. There is no next gen. They're here now!

I totally agree, I also could feel that fineness in his character, and in his emotion, so poised, and the way he played was powerful and so fine too. So wonderful as role model, he doesn't loose track of what is important - "I said prayers to everyone", you can tell that he has a holy and sacred routine in his life! So wonderful. Carlos is also pure genuine, authentic person, simple and full of life and excitement, happy and joyful, wonderful he could speak in Spanish at the end!!!! so wonderful!!!! So happy how diversity is celebrated during this tournament!

I have been watching tennis for the last 40 years. It's a great relief that a fresh pair of outstanding players have emerged in the U S Open this year. The final match was a feast to million eyes throughout the world. I am eagerly waiting for the performance of these players in grand slams in 2023.

I ist saw Carlos Arcaraz last yr 2021, in Barcelona open against Rafa Nadal, & said to myself who is he? An 18 yr old newbie vs the goat? Of course Carlos lost. Watching Carlos win in ‘21 & ‘22 ATP’s, I started admiring this upcoming young tennis star. Now am an avid fan of Carlos. Congratulations on your ist Grand Slam win Carlos!👏👏👍👍!

Congratulations to Alcaraz for winning his first grand slam at the USO and doing it with a bang! Winning 3 consecutive 5 setters and then having enough to win the final in four sets speaks volumes to the greatness of Alcaraz. Ruud did well to take advantage of an Alcaraz dip to win the second set and make Carlos earn the third set. The 5-6 game in the third set proved to be huge, as Alcaraz ran away with the match after that. At the end of the day, a compromised Alcaraz was still enough to beat an improved Ruud in 4 sets. Carlos is like a hybrid of the big 3 and will surely be the future of the sport. Tennis indeed has a great future. Now to demonstrate the greatness of Alcaraz, I will compare grand slam results to the big 3 at a similar age: AO FO Wimby USO Alcaraz 3R QF 4R W Djokovic ? QF 4R ? Federer R32 R16 R128 R32 Nadal 4R W 2R 3R As you can see, Carlos had the best slam results as a late teenager than all of the big 3. Alcaraz is also already a better hardcourt player than Rafa at the same age, as Nadal won his first hardcourt slam(AO 09) 3.5 years later and his first USO 5 years later. It's crazy to think that Alcaraz was a close Rafa and Zverev loss away from sweeping the sunshine double and winning the French Open. Now all we need to see to wet our appetites is a mouth watering clash between Djokovic and Alcaraz in a slam. I suspect that will happen next year.

I am not sure whether Djokivic is allowed to play to in Australia open 2023. I hope so. It has yet to be confirmed.

Some people have an issue that Carlos didn't make mention of Casper and his team. I will give him the benefit of the doubt that this was just an honest mistake. One person is so upset as much to be saying that Casper should have been the winner. I would answer that but I am going to leave it alone. I wish both players all the best. Those who think Carlos will be like Emma. Really? You have not been watching tennis for very long.

I have read on a lot of websites that carlos is 1m 85cms. Ruud is 1m 83cms (6 ft) and looks an inch taller than carlos standing side by side. Seems like he's about 1m 81cms more like

It is incredible that Casper Rood needed to be the one remembering the victims of the 11.09. It is all business…and honestly, even being a Alcaraz fan, it was also quite weird that Alcaraz didn’t say anything to Ruud and his team. I hope he learns on the way how to behave on this occasions. Just to put an example, Nadal always gives credit to his opponents and thanks all the ball boys and organizers for making every event happen. There is still a class gap!
