    • I almost feel like a bad person because I genuinely had a refreshing time for a marginally better part of 2020 because being non-STEM, my education didn't really asked a lot of me, I wasn't preparing for any sort of exam and on top of that, everything was going fine because the past few years before 2020 were not really great. For the first time, I felt that I wasn't left behind and could relate to others. Not a bit more than 2 years later and I was devastated in June 2022. I wish I could go back but that'd be not a good thing.

    • @@Marksman_12no I feel the same way. As a person in India, the educational system is so stupid and so demanding and it evaluates you on a bunch of things in such a way that even by some miracle it's useful, you've lost all interest in it. For the first few months I was just scared and disappointed that I couldn't do anything to help people, but it was the best year of my life after I realised to just focus on my own life. It was the happiest time I ever had because online school was a breeze and I could devote all my time to music. I just wish it had happened during tenth grade because everything came crashing down in 2022. I also wish we would go back to that time, just the lockdown part, because I would give anything for that peace back in my life.

But when you say "be a little scared, and here are some things you can do to protect yourself," that helps to manage expectations and promote healthy behavior. Brilliant writing! Unfortunately it would probably be like the King novel The Stand where the govt's final solution for an outbreak was *Rome Falls* . They had operatives with vials sent to other world powers and released the virus in what a cheeky, sickly general called share and share alike. When the hantavirus hit the southwest Navajo shamans searched their records and knew of a cure but were dismissed by the CDC. Turns out the cure they devoloped was exactly the same as the Navajos, they were simply determined to find it out for themselves. You ppl just DON'T listen!
