Everyone in Hubei province is afraid of people from the city of Wuhan; everyone in other provinces is afraid of people from Hubei; everyone in Asia is afraid of people from China; everyone in other parts of the world is afraid of people from Asia; everyone in the galaxy is afraid of people from earth.....

I am from China and not familiar with the US governance or administration. From 13 cases to outbreak, this has been terrible. Understand that the US is a federation and that individual states have mich administrative power. If the US people want to blame anyone from the government for the outbreak, is it the president or state governors or city mayors?

It wasn't personal, she more likely didnt have the correct protection (face mask, gloves)...she just wouldn't want to catch the virus and spread it. My mom is a nurse and would treat patients with care, but also take precautions so not to catch the virus and spread it to herself and others.

That trip to the China Rose is starting to make sense. I just went there to pick up an order I made earlier and when I got there, whole place was almost empty (there was like only four customers and four staff members). The manager, an Asian, was walking around looking kind of distressed and I didn't even know why (until I got home and saw on KZhead what was going on). Like, in the back of my mind there was an awareness of the disease, but I didn't even connect it to the restaurant or the manager. Hell, our fingers brushed when he took my card to pay for the food, and I didn't even think it was weird.

But the percentage of asians that are doctors are close to 8.4% while the percentage of whites that are doctors are 4.7%. So statistically, you’re more likely to become a doctor if you’re asian than if you’re white. So you’re most likely not a doctor.

I had influenza and went to the doctor with a mask on, and the looks and reactions were priceless. It's stupid too that in America wearing a mask when you are sick isn't a cultural norm. Everyone bemoans when their coworker is sick, which I get but people get pressured to come into work when they are sick, often can't afford to take a day off, or could be fired if they take too many. Wearing a mask is just logical. Also if someone is sick around you, stay 3-6 feet away, wash your hands when you touch something they have touched, and don't touch your face. Not so hard. And I don't mean hand sanitizer always, because people think that's as good as washing your hands, and it's not for many things. We live in a world that is so reliant on OTC and prescription meds and doctor visits that sometimes we forget that simple hygiene is what prevented a large amount of people from even dying of the bubonic plague . :P

Ialam Warjri most countries already closed off their borders with China, even their closest ally N. Korea and a Russia, and the places that the virus has spread is under 10 people, and most are already quarantined. The chance of those people under 10 in those other country capable of getting the money to travel to the states is little to none. Plus you would have to do it in the window of the days the symptoms don’t show up, because if you have symptoms they will check you, if your passport shows you been to China in the past 15 days you’re also not coming.

Asian people think they have something to complain about they should take a look at the black community... they think being avoided is an issue when black people can be found on Google Images hanging from trees with ropes around their necks.
