Republican "bipartisanship" = "do exactly what WE want"
Kick out the turtle (yes that guy) and many more in that party
Exactly. It's infuriating to see Democrats falling for it
...or else!
"And if you don't, we'll trick you into doing it anyway..."
Republicans are just holding Biden's unity hostage to stall actual progress. At some point, Democrats just have to realize they have all the power and they should use it.
Bipartisanship they want now. After doing what THEY wanted for last 4 years.
4 years? Mitch has been obstructing and sh*tting on the poor and vulnerable for his entire career.
10 years minimum
Why do Dems run on being bipartisan? It is an insane platform.
@@edwardjones282 I'm not a democrat or a republican, but in a normal country bipartisanship is usually the responsible option. Elected officials should ideally be expected to collaborate on as many issues as possible, base their opinion in proven facts, and be civil. Sadly, the political (and media) climate in not only the US, but the entire world, is going in the other direction right now. I blame the clickeconomy, which thrives on heated feelings and arguments. We need more leaders like Angela Merkel and less Trumps, Johnsons and Orbans. 😐
@@Hypotetiskt it should be possible, true. I have no faith in any if those people. Even the things they could agree on they throw in something just for a fight, it seems.
"The people of her district elected her and that should mean a lot" - it definitely does, it means there is a really toxic & disturbing history of gerrymandering and education defunding in her district. Her district should serve as the example of what not to become.
It also says that they had no choice. She ran unopposed. She only "won" the election because nobody else could be bothered. Though I suppose that in itself says something about the level of education and political engagement in her district.
THIS!!
@@altrag realistically though before her opponent withdrew(due to a sudden divorce and moving to indiana) she was always going to win that seat. That particular district is hardocre Republican and he was never a threat to win the seat.
@@altrag there was another candidate. He received credible death threats from her followers and moved his family out of state.
@@fenrirsdaughter9880 Which still leaves her running unopposed. I'm assuming her county has more than a handful of people in it and we have no idea how many of them were _not_ sending death threats and may well have voted for the other candidate. I mean 25% still voted for him after he withdrew (I'm assuming that happened too late for his name to be taken off the ballots). Of course she also beat the other Republican in the primaries, and he ran on basically the same platform of "Trump is our new God" so the only major distinguishing factor is Greene's grip on crazy conspiracy theories. That shows the Republicans in her district are definitely falling off their rockers, but it still doesn't say much about non-Republicans since they don't vote in the Republican primary.
Republicans: "Elections have consequences!" Republicans: "We need to work together, as long as you do what we want!"

@@catscompany735 Are you kidding me? Some of these liberals have no backbone. I mean, Biden is trying to compromise with Republicans when they have only the majority in the Supreme Court. Also, are you really wanting to support the rich bastards who gave us $1800 in one year to aid people in the pandemic? Republicans who after blocking aide all year only want to now supply only $1000. Republicans who gave trillions of dollars in tax cuts to the Uber rich? This isn't about Dems and Republicans anymore. This is about decent people vs selfish assholes.
If the GOP wanted bipartisanship, then they could have pushed for a solution at ANY POINT in the last year.
It's your standard abusive boyfriend psychology - probably something they picked up from mafia don.
wait a minute why they didnt do bi partisanship when the repubs the majority
Jessica Cain that is so true, they didn't though??
I sometimes feel like the attitude of the republican party is that , if u listen to us, only then you r bipartisan...but when it comes to us we have every right , ("democratic" right) to oppose u...
Or 4 years
Democrat's Definition of UNITY: "let's all work together to solve our problems." Republican's Definition of UNITY: "give us what we want & no one gets hurt."
"Give us what we want and everyone still gets hurt. Also, we're going to blame it all on the Dems anyway.
"Unify... With OUR position."
Quite literally!
I feel the Republicans would be like the mother in the Bible that said okay to the baby being split in half.
It's Seth's Bernie impression for me. "Talk to the mittens!" 😂😂
"He was only blustering when he said he was going to overthrow our democracy; we didn't really *believe* him," is not a valid defense. Even if it weren't literally insane to think he'd show an ounce of restraint or sense, when he has done the opposite at every opportunity for the last four years. In fact, it's even worse. It's admitting you thought he knew he was lying, and you knew *you* were lying in supporting his lies. It's an admission of guilt. An admission that you conspired together to overthrow our democracy and gaslight the American people.
Great name btw!
@Bismuth Crystal - Very well played.
dems: "we need unity". repubs: "who cares about your feelings". dems: "you're going down for your corruption". repubs: "we need unity".
It's the circle of life. How "majestic". Republicans are obsolete. We could replace everyone in the entire Republican party with potatoes (actual potatoes) and the potatoes would do a better job. Can you imagine how much money we'd save if we didn't have to pay their $174,000 salaries and $40k office furniture allowance? I'd actually go as far as saying ALL politicians are obsolete. 2020 made it blatantly obvious that the government we once thought was powerful, honorable, and "in the best interest of the people", is so dysfunctional (on both sides) that they thought it was "ok" to use the suffering of its people as "leverage".
100
Unity is like the deficit, republicans only care about it when a dem is in the WH
Ya hit that snail on the head!
Finally democrats are catching on...🧠
Were they practicing bipartisanship when they highjacked the Constitution and held a SCOTUS seat empty for a year, or rammed a justice confirmation through in weeks when another seat came open within a month of an election which completely contradicted their stated policy for holding the seat open for a year?
They replaced RBG in 8 days! Bet they could have convicted Trump in 8 days if they had wanted to. You know if it had been Clinton or Obama they would have found them guilty in the impeachment trial in 24 hours (with no witnesses or evidence even allowed!) 😆

@@frizzlethecat2084 Actually, if you ever woke up and found yourself as a Republican, you should start advocating all the fairness and ideals you can. Your own party would hate you but you might amass so much power and respect as to usurp the mantle of Conservative and turn it into something better!
@Meghan Actually, that might be true for US conservatism, but the word 'conservatism' actually means 'desiring more **conservative** changes to political policy (less spending, more economic responsibility, etc.) I think the word you might be thinking of that means (and always will mean) that is "Republican."

"Jewish space-laser". At least when Mel Brooks did the "Jews in space" skit he was joking.
Surprised, she didn't blame BLM for the fires also.
Even in Spaceballs, Mega-Maid didn’t have a space laser 🙃
"That's no moon, that's a space menorah..."
"Jewish Space Laser" sounds like a weapon you'd see in one of the Austin Powers movies.
Do Jewish Space Lasers work on Saturdays?
"Jewish Space Laser", Mel Brooks deserves credit for that movie.
Sounds a lot like a scene in Robocop (1987) where a space laser accidently misfired and started a massive fire in California
It's literally in Spaceballs

We gotta get Colbert to say it too.
Why is it so important for them to fight so hard for an increase in the minimum wage... HOW BOUT they hand over their salaries, and only be paid MINIMUM wage, see how they like it. IT'S 2021, ppl shouldn't have to BEG for a decent wage, for appropriate work and hrs... for a better quality of life!!!!
Because giving people more money means they won't have anyone to mow their lawns, iron their clothes, take out their garbage, and live a life of servitude for those who get paid the most while doing the least. They fully realized that poor people are actually "essential" Having a population of people who have enough resources where they don't need government help would greatly reduce the cost of social services the Republican party throws tantrums about. It would solve one of their problems. It would increase competition in the marketplace (more people would be able to start businesses and become employers instead of employees), boost the economy (more people would be buying "stuff"), and raise the standard of living for everyone as a whole. The only reason anyone would be against paying people a living wage is a fear of competition, greed, and ego. They always find money to pay themselves, pay their friends, and pay for anything that serves their own self-interest. When the American people need financial assistance during a pandemic where they were forced to stay home by the government, it is considered "begging for handouts". When trillion-dollar companies "beg" for corporate welfare it's somehow "a legal right". Between the never-ending double standards, inability to actually listen to the majority of the people and do the job we hired them to do, the collapse of America is slowly starting to take place.
@@artrock8175 this should be sent to every American and in triplicate to each of the geniuses in the Capitol.
It's incredible how much the Republican party shows their hate for the working class yet they still hold power anywhere. Truly baffling.
@Dahn Thank you for reminding me of the driving force behind "God Fearing", "conservative", Republicans! Intentionally bringing pain and suffering on to others is the only way their brains produce dopamine. After years of overstimulation (from consuming and hoarding more resources than any single human being needs in one life time), they are numb to any positive complex emotions that drive good people. Choosing to rule by fear instead of respect. It's lazy, outdated, and obsolete (that type of leadership style and political party). The easiest way to filter people like them out is to create a team of neuroscientists and behavioral psychologists who are more than qualified to create a "Content of Character" test based on science. Using EEGs (electroencephalogram; used for monitoring electrical activity in various regions of the brain) and carefully designed questionnaires that include videos and pictures of violence and suffering, mixed into videos and pictures that show love, compassion, or empathy. Once all the data has been compiled and a "map" of each candidate's brain related to their cognitive and character traits has been created, allow the public complete access to this information. I would much rather vote for people (regardless of party) based on scientific data over meaningless "noises" (assuming politicians mean what they say has been proven to be a "fool's game"; I only hear noises that have no meaning come out of their mouths). But then again, we all know Republicans "fear" science because they don't understand it. They'd start their fear campaign against science and bring back the age-old tradition we all thought died a long time ago best known as "Witch Hunts". Instead of prosecuting and then sentencing people to death because of "black magic", they'd sentence people to death for practicing "radical left science" designed to undermine the Republican's "traditional" conservative values.
@@lisab9541 I like the way you think! :D I assume your obvious love and respect for doing things in triplicates was founded on science and not "political views" or "feelings". You know why I like doing things in triplicate? Triangles...that's why. I like to think of triangles as the "Republicans of 2-dimensional space". They are far superior to all of the weak-ass "lines" I think of as poor people. And don't even get me started about radical left "democrats of 2-dimensional space" like squares, pentagons, hexagons, or "mythical unicorn" referred to as a circle (aka the devil's "shape"). We all know that any shape that isn't "poor" (like a 2 coordinate line) can be closely approximated by using triangles in both 2 dimensions and 3-dimensional space. So as far as I'm concerned the only shape that God-fearing Republicans have any respect for are triangles. If Donald Trump didn't event triangles, would we even exist? Of course not. And because I love and respect America's true leader, Donny Trump, I've created a petition demanding we change the word "triangle" to "trumpangle" in honor of our beloved leader. Trump Bless America! **** Crafting poorly written attempts at humor have been my only outlet. It helps me "numb the pain" of watching infant children (politicians) focus on personal gain while my fellow Americans are literally dying as a result of gross mismanagement of our "employees" (they work for US!!!), well past the point of desperation, and truly suffering. While I will never bow down and pledge allegiance to a single political party, it's pretty obvious who the "bad guys/girls" are in our government. And the good guys are NOT triangles......If we all exercise our right to vote and encourage others to do the same, the people can take back the power and hire employees who actually do the jobs we hired them to do.
When Wall Street was in trouble the help came pretty fast but when the American people are in trouble we have to go through these delays and setbacks etc.. it seems they keep stalling this stimulus relief until the pandemic is over then there's no need for the stimulus, they will claim.
That CSI miami reference was gold! (yes, I'm trying to enjoy myself).
It used to be "if you can't beat them, join them". Now it's "If you can't overthrow them, demand bipartisanship".
They demand it when they want it and reject it when they don't. Two-faced

"A little bit different" is not equivalent to actual threats of murder
Maybe we should take him at his word, the average position of the GOP at least borders on murdering their colleagues and their whole party needs to be voted out. A large number of them should be expelled from office. They have their hooks in two deep so we can't get the 2/3rds for that T.T
