The following 2 minutes where you get ahead of yourself and start commenting on stuff we haven’t seen yet, and give several more false starts, even splicing in an edit to cram in more stuff that is not the thing we are dying to see? This is a mistake. If you sat down and watched this video’s opening from an unbiased and open minded position, you will understand exactly what I’m saying. You have an awesome channel man. Clearly you are doing something right. Your fans WILL wait the extra 2 minutes. You know who won’t? You know who will go, “when is this dude gonna play the f***inf video ?” , then click away to find the story elsewhere and never get exposed to your very entertaining personality ? The people who got suggested your video by the algorithm who don’t know who you are !!! A 30 second intro on a really juicy story is a little long, but you can sort of pull it off because you’re high energy. However, for someone that doesn’t know your content style? The ones here for the story who may then realize you have a cool channel and personality and may wana come back for more? They’re feeling tortured by that crazy long intro. These details, specifically in this instance the PACING of the intro, are the sort of details that make a channel “pretty good…” vs GREAT. I say this with total sincerity and in good faith. You have a cool channel and usually have good takes on things. You dial in a few details here and there? I truly believe you could see noticeably faster growth / further reach.
