In regard to the CPI, if you click on the box to the right with the current CPI value, you can type in a number which will set the mouse CPI to exactly your input.

Rival 3 would be the perfect contender to the already popular G103. I believe the sensor on the G103 is better, but the RGB implementation on the Rival 3 looks so nice.

honestly, the rival 3 and the qck edge are an INSANELY good combination for basically 60 bucks. I don't think you can get a better combo in the market at that price.

The Rival 3 is a fantastic alternative for people that felt like the XM1 had too much of a bulbous back end. The Rival 3 has a much flatter curve at the back and flatter side walls as well; They dont tilt inward towards the bottom. The sensor is supposed to be the next 3327 and it seems to suffer from the same high LOD, maybe 1mm shorter than before. But otherwise, its rated at 300IPS and 35g accel, IIRC. Fantastic specs and flawless in my testing. The clicks feel crispy and I havent gotten any wobble from them. This mouse, if the shape would be more popular, is a great start for SS to begin offering what the community has asked of them.

I am interested in the benefits of a light mouse. I personally use a pretty heavy (I think) mouse. I love it but recently it stopped detecting clicks. Should I switch light weight?
It's all about what you're into honestly, lightweight mice are usually very easy to move, and if you're already used to heavy mice you might overshoot your aim. But if you're just gonna use it for school or work then go for it.
I think this is a great idea on steelseries part because it’s pretty light and it’s also $30, most people barely want to spend anything on a mouse.

My cougar revenger lasted 4 years(2.5 years the middle click failed). I didn't want to spend that much again so just bought this steelseries 3. Hopefully it's decent for my needs.

I think this replaced the Rival 110 since I no longer see them available anymore and is in the same price point.

hi, today I got home this rival mouse 3 I downloaded the SteelSeriesEngine3.17.9Setup program from the steelseries site and installed it but I saw that only the dpi is saved in the internal memory but the rgb effects remain saved only on the program and not on the mouse and therefore if I close the program the rgb effects return by default, so I don't know if the rgb effects can be saved in the internal memory or in the internal memory is it possible to save only the dpi?

I hate how mouses now come with the holes all over it. This is perfect design with a nice minimal RGB which I was looking for. I game in controller so I just needed something nice looking and cheap. This mouse is perfect.

From my experience the sensor isn't that good. It's okay for regular gamers, but forget about real flicks, quick scope aim and the acceleration is way worse than 3360 or even 3389.
