Rival 3 looks like the best shape imo. Great video Caleb! ❤️
Thanks! Yeah I enjoy the Rival 3 shape the most personally
Agree
I have had the logitech g305 for two days now and i love it. As a person who thought it was going to be too small, it felt natural in my hand.
I’ve had both the g305 and orochi v2 and let me tell you if something ever happens to your g305 or you just want to try something new I HIGHLY recommend the orochi v2, you can get it for $50 regularly on amazon even tho at launch it was $70 and trust me you can tell the difference in build immediately, they are both great mice but the orochi just feels a lot more premium and Ik this is a personal thing, but I felt like I could get a better grip on it because it filled out my hand a little more (I have pretty big hands tho)
@@thepsychicflame okat thank you for the tip:) Will keep that in mind
@@vfilipx3183 fantech (usa) or teevolution (eu) aria xd7 is the shape of the orochi v2 but size of the g305. Another option to consider.
how can i cchange or what app should i use to adjust my sens
@@thepsychicflame Weirdly enough Orochi v2 is like double the price of g305 in my country, its almost the same price as g pro
Thanks for this great review.👍
This channel is criminally underrated. Subbing tho, keep up the good vids
Thank you very much!
Great round up! Thanks
How was the mouses holdin' up so far? Any issues with the material or the switches? Thanks for the video!
Hey Caleb out of those three mice which one would you prefer. Looking for a budget wireless mouse. Btw great video!
I have the Rival 3 and the grip is amazing.
I agree, really enjoy the shape as well
Same
dude i have it too. Can you map the ctrl key on the side and hold to it? i can map it but hold doesnt work. try do a ctrl + c using the sidebutton.
mine keeps turning off how do i fix that?
G305 feels like a bar of soap in comparison
the katar pro is very nice imo. ive had it for a about a year now and its been the best cheap wireless mouse ive ever owned
Love ur vids Caleb!!!
Thank you for support!
love your reviews
Thanks!
Thank you for this review!
Thanks for watching!
Have the katar. Grip is incredible, optic is insane and its design is very confortable
Does it drag click?
@@tabeedi It does not, but some people (including myself) have noticed that the scroll wheel will randomly start stuttering without much reason.
Woah I just bought the rival 3 wireless before watching this vid I loved the mouse!
I bought it the scroll wheel is ass and its a little bit heavy but overall good ive only had for 2 days
Do you find it heavy? I found out the g305 can go down to 85g with mods, but idk abt the rival 3?
@@timothylu1349 Its pretty light like its just to perfect I recommend it 100% I had have it for 3 months
@@timothylu1349 You can try to remove the other battery as it can operate with just one. It helps to lower the weight as well. As a palm grip user, I can say that Rival 3 suprised me. :) The dual connection mode is important for me as well (work and play) Hope I was able to help.
Off topic, can you tell me where to get those mouse stands please :) Great video btw!
omfg, i was dreaming of this comparison in my dreams, thx for this video mate !!!
Haha that worked out great then!
Nice vid!
Thanks!
Celab, u make the best vids!
Thank you!
Logitech does have lower battery life on paper, though ironically it outlasts my Rival 3, which only made it past 8 days. The biggest gripe with g305 for me is that my mouse wheel started rubbing against the front end of the plastic, making it very hard to scroll, hence why I got Rival 3 in first place.
bruh my g305 scroll whell also sound terrible, i want to switch the mouse but i like the click feels and the grip is comfortable for my size
@@syarifairlangga4608 I got mine replaced by RMA for a new one and it's really loud now. I haven't checked but I bet there's third party mods or solutions in general you can get to upgrade the mouse. I used to know someone that replaced all the switches on their G502 for example. I can't see why you couldn't do other mods as well, as well on other mice like our G305. I just can't be bothered to do any of it myself.
@@syarifairlangga4608 had the same and fixed it just by removing the rubber on the wheel, now its just plastic but it scrolls like a normal mouse
Don't forget about logitech's Endurance mod for the g305. You can get some insane battery life out of a full sized AA.
Yeah, apparently 9 months worth
I have two of these three mice, so this was a helpful review in comparing all of the similar models. I also did not realize the Rival 3 Wireless could run on a single battery; good to know. I ended up retiring my Logitech G305 after using for a few months because it doesn't have a Bluetooth setting, which became cumbersome moving the wireless receiver every time I wanted to switch from my gaming desktop to my work laptop. My laptop also only has USB-C ports and the use of an adapter for the USB dongle introduced some major performance issues. Definitely a great mouse otherwise. Because I came from using the Rival 3 (wired) before my G305 purchase, it seemed logical to try the Rival 3 Wireless as a replacement for both gaming and work setups. It's been great for gaming, but I have two points of contention with this mouse: when it falls asleep, it does not wake when moved (a button or click must be pressed to wake) unlike the G305 which feels literally seamless, and no settings in the SteelSeries GG software can be adjusted while in Bluetooth mode; only USB wireless mode. Both obviously have their pros and cons, so hopefully my experience can inform someone else's buying decision.
bluetooth = slow.
I've used this video to determine which mice I was gonna get, very good review in my opinion you've earned a sub my dude
Thank you very much!
nice video bro👍
Thank you!
how thick are the feet for the corsair. I heard the rival 3’s are thin
Razer Needs to Make more Budget Wireless Mice, considering most of its competitors already have.
Yeah, they have the basilisk which is a decent option, and i guess the older mamba wireless which you can get for kinda cheap.
@@CalebThornton Yeah, but I feel like Logitech's Mice being around $35 for a wireless option should be something Razer Needs to take note of.
Would be nice to see.
razer basilisk are cheap in my country same as those 3
@@blumango4331 the basilisk X hyperspeed is 40 dollars on Amazon rn
Ive recently gotten the G305 for christmas last year, and for me its a very good mouce. Its at a decent price, I like the feeling of it (probably because I have small hands) the batterys are still going now after about 3 months or so. Overall a good mouse 👍
fr fr ive had the mouse for like 8 months now and i game tons and yet its not run out its first pair of batteries (the ones that came in the package, they must be some ssteriod batteries lol)
Are you going to try to review the glorious elements mouse pads or maybe even the model o wireless?
I am not going to do the pads, well if i do it will be in the future at least. I am going to do the Model O Wireless when it arrives though
Is the actual battery life of the Rival 3 as stated ? Some have complained that the batteries run out quickly.
Great review per usual
Thanks!
Did you have any double clicking issues on ANY of the mice? I have a old Logitech M310 (Yes), and the scroll button is double clicking. I'm looking for a new mouse, so did you have any double clicking issues or just ANY issues whatsoever?
Do corsair KATAR have a good sensor pls lemme know??
a single lithium AAA battery and battery converter can bring down the G305 to the same weight as the GPRO Wireless. You effectively have a GPRO Wireless with a different shape. Also the software allows the mouse to run in eco mode when a game isnt launched so your battery life is extended by a ton.
I bought the G203 because it has a long battery life and is easy to mod, I can add pre cut grip tape, custom mouse feet, etc and make it a good mouse. I also like that they include a $13 accessory, the mouse receiver base, and I think every wireless mouse should come with one, as I've had some serious trouble with my corsair mice being laggy because they're not facing the mouse. These gaming mice receivers are so sensitive to placement that you basically need that little base to get a solid and reliable connection. Logitech has had the best 1000Hz polling because it doesn't seem to lag certain games nearly as bad as corsair or razer has for me
Do you mean the g305?
@@Kai_pies oh yea. The g203 was on my mind since it's the wired variant
Been checking this out in my local store. Definitely helped me a lot. Thanks man! Subscribed! :)
Glad it helped! Thanks for watching 😀
I have all of those. I prefer rival 3>katar pro xt(it has a similar bak to a g303)>g305. But I aim all good with three, can't go wrong with either.
Great review, straight to the point, subbed!
Thank you! Appreciate it 😀
I have the g305 and its a great mouse, for the money it might be the best bang for your buck mouse on the market or right up there, i got it for 45 CAD.
I just bought mine for $34
I had the g305 it’s a good mouse but so many problems tho it kept changing the dpi by it self also causes my game to freeze due to it changing had to return
where did u bought the stand for mouses?? 3:10 minute. thx at all
Hi, is the ASUS ROG STRIX CARRY better or the Rival 3 ?
how g305's longevity? is it durable and last long? Personally I just play light gaming basically pubg and looking for something which last long. Any suggestion pls
At Indonesia the Rival 3 costs 55 USD while KPW and G305(G304 here) costs 35 USD.
if u get it from brazil then the g305 is 35 bucks (cause brazil has practically no tax on this stuff)
I just got the Rival 3 a few days ago and it is seriously a decent mouse. However, I find myself missing the palm feel that the Razer Basilisk X Hyperspeed gives in terms of a budget mouse. Returning the Rival and switching back to my Basilisk.
i bought the rival 3 and my mouse wont stop lagging and stuttering i feel like i wasted my 50$ did u have any trouble?
Should i buy the Logitech G403 or Steelseries Rival 3 ?
M not sure why but the click and sound scroll sound were so soothing like a massage...
haha
How’s the basilisk x hyper speed compared to these mouse?
The razer basilisk hyperspeed really should have made this list... I'd go for it over the heavy rival 3 anyday
i'm done with logitech mice. g304 and g305 after 2 or 4 months goes double clicking automatically with just 1 click and then after a while left click does not work anymore
Picking up rival 3 wireless.. also waiting for apex 3 tkl
did you get the rival 3? how is the battery life??
I just bought the G305 yesterday and I love this mouse, I had the g402 before so I had to get used to it but once I did I loved this mouse
Good! I'm glad you enjoy it 😀
The g305 double clicked on me after a year and a half for me. Good thing logitech's warranty is great. They replace me with a new one no questions asked.

Can I change Dpi and polling rate from software of Corsair Katar Pro in Bluetooth mode?
G305 vs Razer Basilisk X Hyperspeed Wireless. Which one is better? Can someone give me honest feedback using the mice? I dont mind about the design and weight.
Can you do a comparison between the Razer Balisk and other mice that have that type of shape
Like mice that have a thumb scoop?
@@CalebThornton yes
some say using 3A battery with adapter also makes the mouse lighter and helps with weight distribution
Yeah I have seen some people doing that. Never personally tried it, but might be worth it. Would just reduce battery life a lot.
I tried AAAA batteries instead of AAA on my new Rival 3 and they fit. I didn't even have to use tin foil, they stay put. They are much lighter than AAA batteries and my mouse is lighter now, and if I use only one AAAA it's even lighter.
hey i wanna buy this mouse and since u have it for 5 months can i have a report about it in long term?
Yes please update
Love it , its a genius move to compare that 3, m now looking 4 katar pro wired. its weight at 69 gram sweet spot , SAD THING its i got weak hands ,Cant handle stiff click, Logitech really have a cake on clicks and that cake is not a lie , Wonder how katar clicks compare to g pro wired ? , plz tell me if u can, M super sensitive to click tension, any other above logitech tension its a "no" from me ,sadly
Luca balling on day , KZheadr at night . Dang
In my country while rival 3 and g305 is 500 turkish liras, katar pro is half price with 250 turkish liras. I think this is because logitech and steelseries much bigger "brands" like samsung vs huawei. Thanks for the video, I guess I'll go with katar pro.
Hocam katar pro mu aldınız? aldıysanız memnun musunuz?
I had the G305 for just over 2 years and now just got the Rival 3 as my 305 had the dreaded double click issue and logitech didn't want to warranty it, so much for their 10 million clicks claim. I did like the 305 shape more so maybe I should've got the Katar instead :|
Uh oh. You could always return it if you wanted and then get the Katar Pro. It might just take a little bit of time to get use to the Rival 3 shape though
How is it after 6 months? I have g203 lightsync which is basically g305 but wired, so trying to decide if I want 305 or Rival 3.
@@marinebymistake It's okay still works fine but I use it as a laptop mouse now, funny you mention g203 I ended up using that on my main PC with a mouse bungee as I like the light weight of it and shape.
@@zodd67 so basically you prefer 203/305 to rival I suppose? At least in terms of it's form. I'm not really a pro player so I only care about how comfortable it is, how good is the quality and how long will it live. Not sure about the form, but it seems like everyone says last two parameters will be better on Rival.
@@marinebymistake Build quality is good on it and comfort is okay but I prefer the 203 shape. I did have an issue where the RF would intermittently disconnect and reconnect which got annoying.

I have the Logitech G305 but after 8 months of use I had issues with the right mouse button being harder to press, I realized that the right button was lower than the left button, now is almost unusable so I'm going for the Corsair Katar Pro Wireless instead
I think that’s just a manufactured error
I've had the same g305 for nearly 3 years now. Only things I've encountered are the feet have worn down (reasonable) and after extreme use the scroll wheel is now a bit touchy.
I just got the rival 3 two days ago and I love it! I definitely recommend it my gaming experience has for sure improved a lot my buddy has the 305 and when using it my hand doesn’t form around it very well it’s very wide and I can’t get that lock grip on it like I do with the rival 3
Yeah, those curves that sweep out towards the back of the rival 3 are really nice for locking into your grip style. I'm glad you are enjoying it!
I have the rival 3 as well and I like the hump in the back, but I don’t like how low the front buttons are, they are noticeably harder to press after long hours of use and just feel a little uncomfortable for my grip style in general.
i bought the rival 3 and my mouse wont stop lagging and stuttering i feel like i wasted my 50$ did u have any trouble?
Using a G203 here which can be picked up for $20 at any retail store in the Philippines such a Steal , would have purchased the R3 Wireless but it costs $60 here so I Decided to save up for a Model O wireless which should cost about $80.
Very nice! Still waiting for my Model O wireless
The Corsair one is only $25 USD on Amazon right now so it's definitely appealing right now

The g305 is defective. It started double-clicking randomly and I only own it for a bit more than 1 year (never been damaged or anything). I checked the buyer's reviews and apparently it's quite a common issue. Guess I'm going to try the Corsair now.
NGL i thought he would have around 600k subs .. like bruhhh he so underrated...
Haha thank you!
Nice review. Can the rival 3 run double a batteries.
Thanks! It only accepts Triple A
Is bluetooth way worse than other way?
It will reduce your Polling rate and make for a possibly worse connection. It will increase the battery life though in some cases as well, the dongle just gives you a stronger and more stable connection which you would most likely want when gaming.
I had a chance to try out rival 3 wired and I loved so much that I began research to buy. In conclusion, only problem with rival 3 is the fact that 400h battery is just with high efficiency mode, which decreases the polling rate to 125 hz and turns rgb light off. With 1000hz polling rate the battery span, according to the comments, is awful. Though I'll try and see, if it's annoying then I'll just refund it.

This was just a comparison of features. Never mentioned which one was best.
I mention which features I like best about them. But based off of features you are suppose to be able to derive your own opinion as well.
Katar is god level
I couldn't consider any of these mice or even the g502 because of 1 major issue, i hate having batteries that are not rechargeable. I need something which I can just plug in at night and wake up fully charged. Also with the g502, the micro USB cable is far outdated so it's not worth the purchase for 150$ new.
Get rechargeable batterys
You need to remember this also, rechargeable batteries degrade over time , in 1-2 years you will not have the same time on a charge tho got when the mouse was new. These mice with removable batteries will last longer in the long term.
