Caleb, you make a great stuff, but if I can suggest something to you, when entering dimensions, also give in cm, not only in inches but again gj^^

Perfect!
THIS IS WHAT I NEEDED
Perfect! :)
Here in Brazil, the options price float a lot of one to another, beeing the g203 R$110,00 and the Viper mini R$399,00 so here the quality between them being different don't affect as much the price
Hi Caleb! I am writing from Italy. I recently bought a Logitech G203 Litghtsync but the right button seems much more sensitive if compared with the left one: sometimes i have unintentionally right-clicks. I bought it on Amazon and I can decide to return it backs. I have one question for you: should I consider to take back money and buy a SteelSeries Rival 3? Is it worth it? Can you suggest me another mouse for small hands (more or less the same size of G203) in the same range of price? Consider that I am a programmer so I use the mouse a lot of hours during the day and what I am looking for is a lightweight mouse. I play MOBA games too. Thank you, sorry for my english!
The Viper Mini and Rival 3 are both good options as well. The HyperX Pulsefire Haste which I recently reviewed is also a great value mouse, you might want to watch that video.
First! And congrats on a view and a sub!
Thank you!
Great Video!
Thanks blu!
@@CalebThornton Quick Question, wouldn't the Rival 3 Wireless also be in this category?
I was going to include it but decided it might be better to just make a separate video for budget wireless mice.
@@CalebThornton Oh ok. Thanks for answering!
@@blumango4331 No problem! Just trying to figure out which mice to include in that list.
I've been using an A4Tech X-710BK for like 6 years, because I loved the shape and weight. I've bought a Hama uRage Reaper 500, but it was too light, and the shape wasn't really good for me also the middle mouse button was goddamn tough to use, so I'm gonna return and change it to the Rival 3. By specs it's pretty the same size and shape, but the A4Tech was almost 200g-s, which is a lot compared to the Rival 3, so I hope it wont bother me that much. Also the A4Tech's cable wasn't rubber which made the mouse pretty steady with it's weight also.
And I thought the g502 was heavy... You must have some forearms
Wow 6 years
I think I know what it is so heavy. I had one A4tech mouse ages ago, and when it died and I opened it I found a quite hefty piece of weight in it. they seem to make them crazy heavy on purpose it seems.
I've had my g203 lightsync for a little over 2 years now and its been a great mouse for just $30 CAD. Probably a year after buying it, the left mouse button started grinding against another part of the mouse if you pressed it at a certain point really hard. it wasn't really an issue though since I almost never clicked it in that spot. A few months ago though, one of the mouse feet started peeling off and has since come completely off. Turns out the feet on the mouse are actually some sort of slick paper just glued onto the bottom of the mouse. It still works fine and I haven't noticed any difference in how it feels since it came off, but a few weeks ago another one of the mouse feet started peeling off and about 1/3 of that foot is just gone. The plastic has also started to shine on the back of the mouse where part of my palm rests during use. Never had any double clicking issues with the mouse though and overall I am extremely happy with it. Gonna be buying a viper mini soon to replace the g203 since I'm not sure how much longer the rest of the feet will last and I feel that even though 1 foot being gone didn't matter much, 2 or 3 probably will.
I have the same grinding against a part problem especially when I hold it to spray. Any solution to that?
I've been using a Logitech M90. Will the Viper Mini be a good fit for me considering I used M90 before?? In terms of dimensions, shape and weight!
For a mechanical switch, if you don't experience double-clicks, it's because you have not used the mouse long enough. The switch deteriorates over time and it's just the nature of it. Optical switch has not yet been proven but it's at least a step in the right direction, I think xD
Nice one
Subbed
Mouse: **Double clicks** Other players: uh, not this problem. Minecraft players: i have deal of a million dollars for that mouse.
good helpful video nice
Love it
I have g102, now giving double click issue. I want to buy new mouse but I really like the GShift feature and onboard memory logitech mouse has. Like clicking side buttons while pressing dpi changes volume. Are these features available on razer and steel series? Not talking about the macros.
What did you go for in the end?
@@thejoke69 put less than 1drop of mustard oil in the switch and double click issue gone. Going to stick to this mouse little more🙂
I have the G102 cuz I went on the cheapest possible variant (is legit the most inexpensive true gaming mouse). However, I would say that the Steel Series Rival 3 and the Razer Viper Mini are better options (which are 10 euros more expensive, but it would be worth it).
Duuude i looked for this video cause i looked for these mouse and heres the comparison
You hold your mice very similar to me. Do you prefer the regular viper or the viper mini's shape more
For me with bigger hands I prefer the normal viper. If you love a claw grip you should look at the Burst Pro it has a great shape, just not a big fan of the titan optical switches.
This guy is great
In Minecraft pvp double clicks are good also this vid was super useful thx
Thanks for watching!
Ima buy the viper mini because of this 😃
Awesome, Good choice! Its a really good gaming mouse.
Caleb Thornton thanks!
tips for people planning on getting the rival 3: it isnt good for butterfly clicking because of the edges, and the side buttons are actually pretty easy to click (with my small/medium size hands). id recommend it if you're doing fingertip or claw grip, or jitter clicking. it does double click and drag clicks pretty good (17-25 cps for me). theres no problems with the sensor either, but i would NOT recommend it for butterfly clicking. get the g203 instead if you are going to butterfly click.
Thanks for the extra info! I'm sure others will find this helpful.
@@CalebThornton I have been using the g203 and i love it but the scroll wheel became very slow and hard to click after a year of usage. Compared to the Steelseries Rival 3 it has double the amount of lift of distance, so i wonder if thats also important if you want to be very accurate in shooter games
The viper mini is also very good for jitter clicking
what do u think of viper mini for butterfly click
@@golden-gamingmore5931 won't double click
Great comparison! Had the G203 ('G102' in our country) and it unfortunately developed double clicking after a year of use, but it was indeed a great mouse as it also got me enthusiastic about gaming mice. Currently rocking a Viper Mini as my G603 is being replaced; done with Logitech mice for now because of the double clicking...
Yeah, the whole double clicking issue is a bummer. Glad the Viper Mini is working out for you. Thanks for watching!
@@CalebThornton have you had that issue with the logitech g203? thanks
@@gautambose No, I have not .
Question : do u think the viper mini is better the the g203 and the rival 3?
I've been using the G203 Prodigy for 6 years and still going strong. No double click issues or what not.
Viper Mini offers more for it's price. Optical Switch, 3359 based sensor and a better wire. Rival 3 has better ergonomics tho but the sensor is based in 3331 pixart.
this was really informative ty
I'm glad! Thanks for watching 😀
To you which one is the best for fortnite I subbed
Hi! Can you do reviews on silent gaming mouse?
Is that a brand of mouse?
@@CalebThornton oh I was just wondering which mouse would be the best for gaming if you don’t want the loud clicking.
@@jnnkmm Oh hmmm. I don't really know any mice that have quiet clicks, I will have to think about that one.
I know this video is older, but just a tip, don't slam the mouse buttons when testing click sound because nobody uses them that way, rest your finger on the mouse button and then click it.
g102/g203 40usd? got it in 20 usd gen2/lightsync some viper is at the same price
i wanna buy deathadder essential or rival 3. i know rival 3 more advanced and essential old mouse but im intresting with essential. what do u think?
DA Essential is very bad and budget mouse. Poor quality for low price. Better buy SS Rival 3 or even Rival 106 from Aliexpress.
@@Pavluha901 technically essential is bad. but i dont think so. the users of essential no one didn't saying to bad mouse. and im not gonna play video games next year and after this i can use this mouse 2-3 years at least. 2-3 years later technology will change and new mouses will be produced so this mouse can handle with me
Hey man can u help me out ? My hands are 17cm in length and they are categorized as small and i basically palm grip I wanna go with viper mini But will this be confortable for me?
No, but theres the hyperx pulsefire haste which is very good for palm grip for small hands, its also lightweight
same size hand a bit of a hybrid palm claw youl be fine
Hey! What should I get the rival 3 or the g203 ? The g203 is 15$ at best buy!
I mean $15 is kind of hard to beat price wise. Just going to come down to personal preference and if it just being cheaper is good enough for you.
Hmm I’m not sure yet. I’m getting a steel series keyboard so idk if I’m gonna get it to match but I did prefer the rival 3
@@sneakerbotting8505 Then I would say go with the Rival 3, or you could get the Rival 3 wireless if you wanted it will just be more expensive.
Please include the scroll wheel too in sound tests.
If you watch the individual reviews you can see it there. I will include them next time though
i bought deathadder v2 mini it was 2t when i got it the mouse clicks feel wierd
Idk why but I like rubber cords been using cooler master and it’s been bugging me
Hey bro i play claw grip . I want a mouse of these because my HyperX mouse die. What you recomedn me for claw andd finger trip ? And thanks 👍🏿❤
The HyperX Pulsefire Haste, Viper Mini, Xtrfy M42 are all good options that I have personally tested.
@@CalebThornton Thanks man. Apreciatedd 👍🏿❤❤❤❤
@@AnonymousDesconocido No problem!
I need ur answer please i have g-wolves hati m and razer viper mini when i hold my mouse i make my fingers like spider =claw but without touching my palm on the back of the mouse i need to know whats the name of thats grip?!
I mean if your palm is not touching it at all its probably a fingertip grip. There is so many variations of finger tip and claw though so its hard to say
@@CalebThornton so it dosent matter how i make my fingers like it matter about my palm touch or not right ?
@@gethobo5185 Not exactly sure what you are getting at. But in a fingertip grip you are usually only holding on with your fingers where as in a claw you have it pulled into the back of your palm. Hence why claw grip mice have a hump towards the back of them
Hey! I just got a Viper mini because my G203 (called G102 in my region) developed double click issues. This video was really informative thank you. Great quality and to the point. As a side note I don't know if it is region specific or not but all 4 of my friends who owned a G203 got double click issues, but since that mouse can be bought for under $20 here its a steal compared to the Viper mini which goes for ~55-65 USD.
Thank you for the kind words! Wow that is not a good track record for the G203 but that price difference is hard to beat.
@@CalebThornton I'm really worried about the G203 Lightsync double-clicking... Is it rare to double click or does it double click when you do something to it? Please help.. :(
by now both go for around 25-30€ here, so it really comes down to personal ergonomics and brand perception.
Hey brother!!!!!😡😡😡😡😡. god JOOB MY FRIEND KEEP THE GOOD GRINDING 😎👍🏿👍🏿❤❤❤🔥🔥
Thank you!
Ahi le falto agregar al HYPER PULSEFIRE fps PRO y estaria completa el video ya que tienee un precio similar con mejor sensor Pixart PMW3389/ 16 0000 dpi / botones programables / 20 millones de clics
Thinking about getting the g203 lightsync
Nice! It is a solid deal. It was only $15 during Black Friday which was crazy maybe they will run another deal on it.
@@CalebThornton that deal on Amazon is still running which is another reason why I have my eye on it.
@@Droseph101 Oh really? if it is definitely worth getting it for that price point
@@CalebThornton oh I know! that’s what I told my parents for a Christmas present....
Nice!
i have both rival 3 and razer viper, but I like the rival 3 better because of the shape of the mouse
I already have rival 3 but i just got the g203
Nice!
Any specifics that work out well for you vs the other?
Why you didnt include the model o minus and the cooler master mm710/mm711
I didn't own those(I own the MM711 now) when I made this video and didn't want to include them since I had not tested them out. I will make a Mini Mice Showdown in the future though, probably end of next month with more small lightweight or budget mice included.
@@CalebThornton holy smokes thank you bro. Cant wait for it!!
@@paulmartinez34 No problem! Thanks for watching 😀
bcuz those brands suck
my logitech g203 suddenly connects and disconnects when im moving it 😭
Watching this with the g203 in my hand
haha nice
do you recommend it?
@@arjanwesterink9600 i have both g203 and viper mini and personally viper mini is much better, but g203 is still pretty good
@@DavidCriketGD Are they similar in shape? I had quite a few share of gaming mice, and the ones I liked the most in terms of shape were g203 and abyssus 2014. They have quite some issues tho that made me not want to buy them again, last year I decided to buy the Model 0- since the size was similar to the g203 and the abyssus. Model 0- is quite good and I would rank it as the best mouse I´ve gotten till this day in terms of quality, but I still don´t love it in terms of shape, my hands start to get cramps and it slides a bit from my hands. I´ve noticed that Viper Mini has gotten quite the praise as the best mini gaming mouse out there, so I would love to know if it´s shape/hand grip style is like G203/Abyssus, since that´s the only thing stopping me from buying it right now. It´s a shame local stores don´t have this kind of gaming mice, it´s always the expensive, wireless and over the top ones, or else I would give it a try myself
guys, which mouse is better, the Logitech G203, or the HyperX Pulsefire Core??
If it's in your price range, I would go for the HyperX pulsefire Haste
HyperX Pulsefire Core, Rival 3 or Viper Mini?
Pulsefire review coming soon, should be here monday
Hey, my hand is 18 cm in length. Will the viper mini fit my hand for games like valorant?
It depends on your grip style but overall it would probably fit i guess
@@kyriekuragecs5895 i ordered the g305 it seems to be a banger for the price(with the AA to AAA converter hack)
are you facing any problem with the viper mini? i just wanna know how long the mouse last
No I really enjoy the mouse and have not had any issues I even paracorded, put grips on, and added skates. It's been great for me
@@CalebThornton idk my razer viper mini within 2 weeks the right button just started making really weird creaking noises and catching on something, i think its a problem with the viper mini build.. if u press the button on every edge of the button.. test it by pressing the button while slightly pulling it in outside direction or towards your wrist
I still cant choose its like impossible what do you think is better for minecraft butterfly clicking?
viper mini 100%
alright so this g203 logitech mouse ruined my game for the last time, i miss clicked when i engaged in a gun fight and hit the sensetive button in the middle and for an hour i tried to disable the button... i then grabbed the scissors and started hacking away at the button another 10 minutes later finally the button is dug out mouse looks abit ugly and feels wierd now but at least that button is gone now!! after downloading logitech and researching how to bring up the damn options to disable the button fmd
Does paracording a mouse void its warranty?
As far as I know it voids any warranty
@@CalebThornton Ah damnit. With the G203 having issues with double clicking so often, I guess I will have to refrain from para cording it.
logitech alwaysgives me doule click when the time it became old. I really sure with that because I experienced it twice with my two mouse. I guess Im gonna give razer a try. S o sad ttey didnt cme with white color that I need.
I returned my g203 because of weird scroll wheel. It was not precise, sometimes while scrolling down it would go back up by itself (really annoying while bhopping). Now I am wondering if only my unit was defective or all 203s are like this. I might consider rebuying it, but can someone confirm that the scroll wheel works fine?
That sucks! I personally have not noticed that, I actually like the scroll wheel haha. It does seem like Logitech has the more issues between the three companies with things like that though.
@@CalebThornton Thanks for reply. I think i will buy it again then. There is just nothing better in this price range. Rival 3 looks interesting but higher lift off distance worries me.
No problem. Yeah, I understand that. Hopefully your new copy is better!
my scroll wheel works fine on my second copy. The first copy i had has defective cable, it just disconnect randomly after months of
@@Brandon-ov6by Hmmm interesting. Seems like Logitech just has some minor QC issues
